Lord of Mysterious Wizard-Chapter 1230 - 155: The Second Rose Madeline
Capítulo 1230: Chapter 155: The Second Rose Madeline
Mysterious Library, first sector.
Reading area, amidst towering bookshelves of various forms, three small human figures stand on silver skateboards, quietly gliding forward.
Not long ago, Rose Madeline, who claimed she couldn’t resist the impulse to read, now had her attention entirely away from the bookshelves, those vast seas of books.
She was staring at the peculiar yet incredibly adorable mechanical girl “Alice Five” beside Tang Qi, speaking in a strange tone:
“Tang, so you like this style, huh?”
Alice Five had been granted life; she had self-awareness and wisdom.
Before Tang Qi could answer Rose, the mechanical girl spoke first, her tone lively and full of girlish charm.
“Hello, guest, I am Alice Five.”
“My life was granted by the Master, my form and style were chosen by Alice herself, much like my name, which comes from the Sweetheart Detective Bookshelf ‘Violet Garden Mystery’.”
“The Master did not object, so he probably likes Alice.”
“Since you are the provider of the Master’s permissions and also the Master’s good friend, if you need anything, Alice is willing to serve you.”
Though possessing a mechanical body, Alice Five’s affinity possibly rivals even that of the Young God Diana, who has “Purification Divinity”; her form gathers the charming advantages of various civilizations, exquisitely quirky yet incredibly adorable.
Rose had no aversion to begin with, and after hearing this, she gently held the girl’s porcelain-like hand, smiled mysteriously at Tang Qi, and then made a request.
“To the [Seeker Nine Bookshelf]!”
“As you wish, beautiful lady.”
As Alice Five’s voice fell, the silver skateboards under them immediately began transition.
The next second, Tang Qi saw a special bookshelf shaped like a “Giant Stone Sculpture.”
It seemed to be situated in the dark, sitting cross-legged, one hand holding a lamp, the other hand flipping through a giant book.
Its head slightly tilted downward, its eyes flickering with captivating radiance, an undying glow of knowledge-seeking even in death.
Sparks continuously fell from the torch, each “light point” being a book storage grid.
“Borrowing books, endless.”
“Alright, my lady.”
With Rose and Alice’s conversation, the skateboard quickly entered one of the light points.
The next moment, Tang Qi began to see familiar yet unfamiliar scenes.
Familiar because the “main character” of the scenes was none other than Rose Madeline beside him.
Unfamiliar because most of the many presented scenes Tang Qi had neither seen nor participated in.
The starting point was undoubtedly Rose’s childhood, from the moment she was born.
By now, Tang Qi had guessed that this “Endless” was likely the first Transcendent work Rose Madeline wrote after being promoted to Great Polymath.
Many Great Polymaths have different entry points when writing their works.
For instance, the predecessor “David Finch” wrote an extensive conspiracy theory that included most Mysterious Side organizations and strong figures, spending a long time on it.
Rose, she was rather special; she seemed to have written an autobiography.
However, her autobiography, unlike other similar books, was not filled with emotions or subjective descriptions.
Rose wrote her early life as an “Observer,” her experiences of joy, sorrow or other emotions, ultimately landing on the book pages as calm objective words.
After just a few pages, Tang Qi understood what Rose meant to convey.
“Knowledge-seeking, her whole life is about pursuing knowledge.”
“She never developed dependent feelings toward any being, person, or organization, not even her teacher; her self has never deviated or changed, she has always been a determined Seeker.”
As the book pages flickered past, Tang Qi’s understanding of Rose Madeline deepened further.
To a certain extent, it was as if he was reading the first half of Rose’s life.
It was precisely because of this that Tang Qi saw more and understood why Rose Madeline was chosen by such a great being as the Ancient Observer to be a disciple.
That unending quest for knowledge was just one of the factors.
Besides, Rose Madeline had an unyielding soul, an intriguing mind, and a wise true self.
While Tang Qi was somewhat engrossed in “reading” Rose, he heard a familiar, magnetically tempting female voice in his ear.
“No matter the angle, my autobiography is far inferior to your recent work ‘We are Light.'”
“However, I’ve hidden some Easter eggs in this book.”
As the book’s author, Rose was clearly very familiar with the pages.
Just as she finished whispering in Tang Qi’s ear, the next moment, Tang Qi felt surprise.
The new page showed a slightly weary Rose Madeline, stiffly turning her head towards a scene of a portal with red spiral patterns.
“Bang”
Due to the special viewing method, the loud noise depicted in the book almost sounded right by Tang Qi’s ear.
He watched as the expensive portal was split open by an axe, splinters flying.
With that teeth-grinding sound, the axe blade slowly withdrew. 𝐟𝐫𝕖𝗲𝘄𝚎𝗯𝕟𝐨𝕧𝐞𝚕.𝕔𝕠𝐦
A void appeared, followed by an abrupt shock as a giant, bloodshot eyeball stared at them, almost startling Tang Qi and Alice Five.
Although the event had passed long ago, due to the unusually special rescue experience back then, Tang Qi still remembered it instantly.
