Lord Of Puppets-Chapter 140 – Dungeon Raid – Part 11.

(The theory we came up with was that the dungeon master was the one controlling the monsters.) – thought Markus.

(It needed to have intelligence... And the golems are creatures that partial made with magic, right or some shit if I get this correct.)

(So does that mean you need some magic knowledge to control the golems?)

(Not only that, the way he acted.... This wasn’t like other golems.)

(It SAW the danger and reacted.)

(Unlike the other golems, it completely understood situation and reacted specifically.)

"EVERYBODY! THAT FUCKER ON THE THRONE MAYBE FAKE!" – shouted Markus on top of his lungs.

"THIS GUY MAYBE THE REAL DUNGEON MASTER!"

"!"

(He realized it!?) – thought Thauma.

(I guess I’ve made it too obvious....) – thought the puppet as noticed both injured and uninjured adventurers gathering around, with the additional B-rank adventurer Elizabeth heading straight towards golem.

(Dammit. I’ve took way too long.)

(If I managed to kill all adventurers much earlier, maybe at least one more giant golem would have survived.)

(Oh well.)

(I still have that guy.)

(Let’s believe it will to its job.) – thought Thauma as spiked ball once again flew towards Thauma.

However, the golem saw attack coming and quickly stepped to the side, making the attack go right past it.

But it was a distraction, as the young magic wielding swordman quickly rushed in.

(I see you!) – but once again the puppet didn’t let the man out of sight and noticed the man and his blade coming for it.

The puppet tried attacking the young man.... However, he was the real distraction this time.

Adam pulled his chain at full power, making the morning star fly back towards him and slam right into the back of the golem head.

"!?"

The golem was completely caught off guard and that gave opening for the swordman to rush in and try to go for the golem’s neck.

"..."

But the hit that the golem suffered was nowhere near to stunning the creature, as the golem thrusted forwards its arms, trying to impale the young man who once again quickly leaped backwards, easily dodging the attack.

"..."

(Damn. That was a solid hit.... I guess that bastard defense is really monster like.... Wait, would that even work? I mean, it doesn’t have brain.... Or does it?) – thought confused Markus.

(I mean, I’ve heard of some undeads that can -SHIT!) – the puppet tried quickly grabbing the man once again, but he once again, failing as the man dodged and created even more distance, before the chained ball once again flew at the golem, forcing it to raise up its guard with arms and block chained ball, which instantly was retracted after landing a hit.

"..."

(He is way too fast for me.) – thought Thauma as it was wary of the young man.

(Beside being fast, I also know he has deadly amount of power behind his strikes.)

(There is also his wind magic.)

(He can use it by itself or empower his sword with it.... I also just saw him use wind to jump above me.)

(Just chasing around him will do shit and he is always ready to run whenever he attacks.) – thought Thauma before noticing Elizabeth quickly running past the adventurers, which alarmed the puppet.

"{Burn And Rage, For That I Which Command: [Flamethrower]!" – and she wasn’t the only making a move as the injured fire mage finished his chants and unleashed a flamethrower like blast of fire that flew towards the golem, alarming it as it quickly used [Stone Wall] once again to block off the attack path.

The wall blocked off the blast of fire... But as Thauma was focused on protecting itself from the flaming spell, Elizabeth quickly ran from other direction where the wall wasn’t present, as well as Markus who ran once again at the golem.

(You may have 6 fucking hands, but you have only one fucking head!) – thought Markus as both B-ranks were about to reach the golem.

"..."

(I guess I have to use it.) – thought Thauma as its mana raged.

[Earth Magic: Earth Forged Blade Crown]

Thauma unleashed a powerful spell, sprouting several blades of earth from all directions around the puppet.

"!?"

Both B-ranks were completely caught off guard.

Markus managed to quickly step away before getting pierced.... But Elizabeth wasn’t so lucky.

She managed to avoid a direct hit by stepping backwards, but he was slightly slashed in few places.

The slashes weren’t deep enough and some slashes were blocked off by her armor, meaning she didn’t suffered any serious injuries.

But she still ended up stopping in tracks for a moment.

A moment that the puppet didn’t wasted as it swung 3 of its fists at the girl, forcing her to try and defend herself with her short spears, which took the blow for her.

However, the girl couldn’t endure the attack as she was pushed back, knocking the girl down who then rolled down.

"!"

The puppet tried quickly fallowing up with a claw thrust at the fallen girl after she stopped rolling, but right as it was about to, Markus fired off [Wind Magic: Wind Cannon], firing off a powerful wind of magic right in the puppet back that stopped the creature in tracks and made its attack miss, giving the girl time to quickly roll away and get up before the golem had a chance to try another fallow up attack.

"THE FUCK ARE YOU DOING?! DON’T JUST JOIN IN ONLY TO DIE IN THE VERY NEXT SECOND!" – shouted pissed off Markus as Elizabeth quickly tried making some distance.

The golem tried quickly firing off a fist sized rock at the female warrior in order to not let her make too much distance, but she saw the projectile coming and used her short spear to stab it, shattering the projectile upon impact.

"Sorry! Wasn’t expecting him to pull out something like this from his ass!" – replied Elizabeth as she created enough space to make Thauma give up the chase.

"..."

(Shit.) – thought the golem.

(I’ve thought it would at least somewhat let me give them a proper wound.... But their reaction time is way too good.)

<<This spell range is only limited to be only around me, but I can unleashed several blades around me.>>

<<This spell also can have its performance enchanted with amount of mana poured, that not only increase the blade power, but I can also increase the number of blade sprouted.... But even without any extra amount of mana, this spell already use up a lot of mana.>>

(And I want to avoid as much as possible using big spells.)

(True I have a LOT of mana inside of me, but I need set amount of mana circulating inside my body.)

(If I were to use too much mana, my body physical performance will decrees, like speed and attack.)

(Obviously I can recover my mana thanks to my artificial mana organs.... But still... They will notice the moment I start moving slower.)

(And that could be a fatal moment for me.) – thought Thauma as it was wary of both the B-rank adventurers as well as C-rank adventurers.... As were they of the golem.

Nobody made any movement.... Just waiting for their opposition to make a first strike.... But something suddenly broke a silence.

A large thud could be heard, which was caused by the second giant knight golem being eliminated.

(Ah crap.) – thought alarmed Thauma.

(All golems were taken out... Oh.... This isn’t good like one bit.)

(Still. There is that guy.) – thought Thauma as it gave new command to the golem on the throne.

"!"

"HEY!" – shouted a warrior as the giant cloth covered golem stood up from its throne.

"THE BOSS LOOKING GUY IS UP!" – shouted the warrior, getting attention of everybody in the room.

(Right! This guy!) – thought Elizabeth.

(....Wait.)

(We thought that guy was boss monster.... But then it turned out to be that this one is the boss....) – thought Elizabeth as she looked at both golems.

(Then what exactly is this thing?)

(Maybe a dummy?)

"..."

"..."

(That cloth.... I can’t tell what is underneath it.) – thought Mawa as he stood in place.

(It is definitely hiding something.... Is it like with that dog head with crossbow? Are there hidden weapon beneath that cloth?)

(Honestly, I want to stall and take it safe.... But from what I could tell, that thing over there is really dangerous.) – thought Mawa as he gazed at Thauma.

"..."

(We have warriors.... And our injured still need time to recover.) – thought Mawa as it observed the adventurers that were by his side.

"..."

"Rush it." – said Mawa as he instantly ran ahead towards the giant golem.

(Honestly, this is risky.) – thought the man.

(But we need to get rid of this cloth to see what we are dealing with!)

[Skill: Stealth] + [Skill: Silence Movement] + [Skill: Sprint] + [Skill: Quiet Run]

The man quickly activated multiple stealth type skills as well as movement skills, becoming a blurry figure that quickly ran towards the golem and managed to get right behind it.

[Axe Art: Timber Strike]

The man instantly unleashed his strongest axe skill, trying to open up a critical hit right from the get go.

The blade of his axes cut right through the cloth and landed straight into the golem body.

"?"

(Wait....?) – however, the attack went in way too easily.

The man knew he did landed a solid hit at the creature, but it went way too easily into the golem body, which instantly alarmed the man.

There was not enough resistance.

The man tried grabbing the cloth in order to expose the golem and see what is underneath it.... But right in the very next moment, a violent surge of mana was being emitted from the creature.

"!?"

"GET AWAY FROM IT! NOW!" – shouted the injured fire mage who senses the mana.

"!"

The man without thinking tried to get away from the golem.... But he was too late.

The golem exploded, unleashing devasting and powerful blast of magic that swallowed the B-rank adventurer as well as all surrounding adventurers in an instance.

The blast was so loud and powerful that it ended up straight up shaking the ground and making depress just get shot everywhere.

A total destruction.
