Lord Of Puppets-Chapter 159 – Elven invaders.

[Current location: Garmfon kingdom – City Of Leo]

"Sir.... Shit..." – said the injured soldier.

"The operation has failed.... Didn’t it?" – asked the beastman bear general.

"..."

"I take as the yes." – said the tired beastman as he lied down on the sofa, revealing his bandaged-up body.

"Sir! You shouldn’t fucking move!" – said worried human soldier.

"Ah! Fuck you!" – said the general.

"I took way worse beating before and I survived all of that shit."

"So don’t you even dare to think that this is enough to kill me or that saving you will be the cause of my death."

"Hell! I got once speared right through my torso twice! And these bloody fuckers made the entire things go right through my body, leaving me with holes!"

"But I’m here! As if nothing had happened!"

"So calm the fuck down and drink some beer or vodka until you knock yourself out."

"If that is the only way to make sure you shut up and calm down."

"...I will refuse the offer.... Sir. There is still a lot of things to do." – said the man before then leaving the room.

"Suit yourself." – said the general.

(Although I say that.... I can’t say the same thing about the army.) – thought the beastman general.

(Mental and physical exhaustion is at their peak.)

(These elves are straight up just fucking us with stupid tactics and methods, all because we can’t fight at our best anymore.)

(If they would had waited at least month before even thinking about starting their war preparations, we could had quickly crushed these elves in single deceive strike.... But now?)

"To make matters worse, these bastards are setting ups forests on fire as well as other locations where wild life and monsters live.... Causing them to run straight into us."

"Protecting the nature my ass! They are fucking destroying it left and right!"

(I’ve though about maybe kidnapping that shitty daughter of that bastard.... But that plan won’t work.)

(And that shitty king was even making sure that even if she went out, she would be heavily guarded.... That is what our people on inside are telling us.)

(If we were to kidnap her, we could use her to force that bastard to back off and even return all of the territories they had stolen from us....)

(But unless some sort of miracle happens when she does leave the city, EVEN for a fucking moment.)

(Then we could right there in that very moment end the war.)

"If it wasn’t for that idiot Ash taking over, this would had never happened."

(And I’m not talking bout him becoming the king.... What I’m talking about is his poor management.)

(We knew that the elves could launch an attack on us and that is why we focused on the pure recovery.)

(We aimed to take back our kingdom, without creating a massive war that would last for weeks, since we wanted to make sure our kingdom wouldn’t suffer.)

(But we miscalculated big time.)

(Ash knows that he can’t run the kingdom with corruption and that he needs a proper kingdom if he wants to rule.)

(But he underestimated the corruption of his supporters.)

(And that very same corruption fucked us!)

(That shitty bastard Adam couldn’t keep his own men in check and it fucked us!)

(....And there was nothing we could do to stop them.)

(If we had begun our plan way earlier when the preparations weren’t completed, we would instead have a long and massive occurring.)

(Not even a single miracle occurred.... And I don’t know how long we can last without one.)

The elven kingdom continued their advance once more.... And the Garmfon kingdom was truly experiencing the destruction.

Truth to be told, what the beastman general thought was true.

They did made a miscalculation.

They knew that the traitorous duke Ash WANTED a kingdom and powerful one.

They knew he wouldn’t let his KINGDOM be destroyed.

The Royal faction was so sure of that they only focused on eliminating Ash and the other traitors.

However, what neither Ash or the Royal faction expected was the sheer amount of destruction caused by the corruption, which was caused by the members of the Noble faction.

If it wasn’t for that corruption, the Garmfon kingdom wouldn’t be so exhausted right now.... And not only that? They would had easily destroyed the elves.

And like said before, the Royal faction couldn’t act before because of their preparations.

However, they were obviously not blind to it.

During their preparations they found out the TRUTH and understood what was going on.

They found out that their kingdom was in ruins.

...

And yet, they diligently still decided to go with their plan.

They KNEW the state of their kingdom and they still decided to go WITH it, even when fully knowing what could happened after words:

The possibility of the elves invading the freed Garmfon kingdom.

So, this now begs the question.

Why?

Why they did it?

Simply put, the opening.

There was no telling where another opening like this could show up, allowing the Royal faction to take back their kingdom from the oppressors.

If they had waited, then Garmfon kingdom under the leadership of the King Ash would not only recovery, but also expand their military power, just like the Noble faction planned.

True, corruption would make recovery process would take considerable amount time.... But again, alliance with elves, meaning that they could recover in peace.

So, if they had waited, the rebellion may end up losing any chance of launching their plan if not straight up get exposed and hunted down before they could even attempt the takeover.

They took the opportunity.... And that was the worst possible mistake ever.

True.

Fighting for justice and destroying the oppression while also exterminating the corruption is a ’JUST’ action.... However, in the current situation?

This so called "freedom" they were seeking is now the cause of the Garmfon kingdom destruction.

Without even given the moment of rest and without carrying how many of their soldiers would die, Mowiorano kingdom pushed forward.

They didn’t cared one bit about morality, since in their eyes they see themselves as ’JUST’.

They killed woman and children alike who didn’t even tried to fight back as their homes were taken over.

Not only that, the elves didn’t cared if they destroyed the nature.

From stories, the elves are often depicted as the beings that lives alongside the nature and develop their civilization alongside them.... But these elves? They are straight up proving that none of these stories hold true to them.

They burn down anything in their way and even are burning any forest standing in their way to either force the hiding civilians to come out or have wild beasts attack the Garmfon kingdom.

Pure savagery and no mercy whatsoever was thrown in the Garmfon kingdom’s face.

Normally in those kind of situation, a miracle should happened or a hero should make its appearance, saving the peace-loving kingdom of Garmfon.

...

But unfortunately, this situation isn’t that kind of story.

There was no hero or miracle occurring as the days went by.

Only death occurred.

4 months and 7 days.

This is how the war lasted so far... And now?

Around 30% of the Garmfon kingdom’s territory has already been conquered and the frontline of the Garmfon kingdom has completely been destroyed.

There are barely any soldiers left on the Garmfon kingdom.

Obviously the Garmfon kingdom didn’t gave up and used anything they had to kick out the elves or just slow them down, ranging from the sabotages and traps, to whole assassinations or mass poisoning.

They used anything they could use, even going as far to use the elves’ own tactic of using wild beasts and monsters to assault the elves.

Their actions were making difference.

They were killing and slowing down the elves.

...

But unfortunately, they were only able slow down.

And before long... The end results came in after few days went by.... Which resulted in the Garmfon kingdom’s army suffered a devastating loss.

Their entire main army or what remained of it.... Was finished off by the elves.

With the lost of what remained of the Garmfon kingdom military power, there was nothing stopping the Garmfon.

In the weeks that fallowed after.... Well, it was obvious right after that.

The Garmfon kingdom was completely conquered by the elves.

And that was it.

No miracle occurred.

Nor there was a hero of justice coming in to save the day.

It was just like this, the kingdom of Garmfon was conquered in the span of around 6 months.

Garmfon kingdom may had stood against oppression and evil.

They fought for JUSTICE!

...

But in reality? Their fight for justice straight up just doomed their kingdom and this was the end results.

No comeback or plot twist.

Just a simple defeat.

Their justice didn’t "paid".

Garmfon empire may had faced tragedy after tragedy, but always coming up on the top.... But it didn’t really mattered this time.

They got beyond unlucky and their sense of justice has doomed them.

If they would just let the Garmfon kingdom be enslaved by Ash and his people, the kingdom would be still standing.

But instead?

The kingdom of Garmfon has been completely conquered by the elves.
