Lord Shadow-Chapter 1979: Cold

Azief could tell Katarina is on the island continent the moment she enters the city. But Azief right now is in bed.

He is sleeping and is now just woken up after feeling the cold.

"It is the first time I could even sleep like this" but the tone of his word is not happy. This is not the sleep he wanted

After all, he did not choose to sleep

The coldness of Katarina did not reach this small island that he is now inhabiting.

But it is the kind of cold that seeps into the soul. This cold comes from his himself

"This is the affliction" Azief did not know how to categorize it. All he knows this is because of the finger, that energy that reached him in the Time Space continuum

"She is here" he tries to get up but he feels lethargic.

"This poison....this magic is more terrifying than I thought" Azief was sure he had removed this energy, and the bad energy should have been driven out from his body.

He was confident of it

Yet the longer the time goes by the more it is affecting him. It is like when it disappears, it will come again.

Like a virus that is adapting to him

Azief did not really know what to do now.

And there is a lot of things he had forgotten.

His head is groggy and all the information in his head is jumbled up, spliced up

"What kind of existence did I provoke when I enter that Tiem Space tunnel"

Azief knows he is not really being hit by amnesia. The memories of thing he did and wanted to do is still there in his mind.

It is just the details and even plans and plots that he wanted to do seem slipping away from him

His Divine Sense is still strong, and he could cover the island continent if he wanted to. Physically, there is nothing wrong with him.

That energy does not seem to affect his physical body that much

Not to mention the current him right now is more energy than solid mass

"The only reason my mind did not turn into a mush right now is because of the leaf inside my inner world right now" he thought to himself.

In his Inner world, he has an entire galaxy inside his inner world. Each planet, each star represents something about his energy.

In a way it is like a human body is composed of veins, bones, blood, cells, and all of this thing.

And the inner world is inside the ball of energy in every human that has absorbed the energy of heaven and earth

It is an illusory world, but it also reveals something about your own energy and life force.

If the inner world is rotten then it means your body is now in danger and your life force is weak

And Azief inner world right now is quite bleak and dim.

But there is a life energy inside it that is so strong that it held back the grimness and darkness that threatens to encroach Azief inner world

And inside of this inner world, he put that leaf among billions of leaf that is inside his inner world.

But when the world is grim and dark, only that leaf shines with such light that it brings light to the entire Inner World

Filling him with some kind of a life force that is unceasingly holding back and even purifying the eroding factor in his energy streams

"A leaf from the World tree is this powerful?" even Azief himself did not expect it to be like this.

Azief shakes his head and just even the act of shaking his head fills him with headache. He got up from his bed and waved his hand and his clothes changed to black.

He wears his old robe and hood.

The clothes themselves seem tight fitting, but it is very flexible. Not to mention it is made of energy and not really a fabric. It is made of laws and rules of the world. So, it is not like real clothes.

It is even better. It fits him perfectly

Aura of darkness radiated from the hems and tips of the robes. Azief looks like the grim reaper with darkness surrounding him and the power of destruction radiating from him. He went out and he looked in the sky

The snow is falling all around him

He reached out with his hand, and he could feel the texture of the snow

He chuckles

"Magic"

There is something you could just feel. Even more so for someone who is now basically an energy form based like Azief

There is a difference between the natural snow and a snow that appears because of external force

Natural snow also has a bit of magic in it. After all, it is coated with the energy of heaven and earth

Everything has a bit of magic in them the moment the All Source fell into this world and transformed this world

When the living beings in this world transformed because of the energy given by the All Source, this world also transformed.

The stronger the magic, the more the magic is used in this world, the more this world is affected by it

In a way it is like pollution but in different effect

Instead of polluting the world, the more people use magic, the more the world is full of magic.

The heavenly Will is also formed like this, and the world strength also rises because of this

He could tell this aura belongs to Katarina

She is not masking it nor is there any need to mask it. Everyone has their own signature energy.

It is not quite like fingerprint where there is no one that is truly the same unless in certain exception.

Energies are also quite different from one person to another

Their signature energy.

But some possess the same type of energy that is not outside the realm of possibility.

But if you are close with certain people, you know their aura and energy more intimately. And Azief knows Katarina in that way, and he had no doubt that Katarina is here.

"And I need her here"

He expected to see Loki first.

Knowing the Trickster, he would probably have been watching this city since the moment the news broke.

But the fact Loki did not meet him must mean he has something to do or maybe he is just waiting or scheming for something again

Azief did not really know what to do about Loki if Loki really did come. Right now, he is not one hundred percent fit

The other candidates would be Sofia.

Sina is now busy in Pandemonium and Pandemonium itself seems to be closing itself up to the world while they fought against each other

The civil war of Pandemonium is not as simple as a normal war before the Fall.

Pandemonium itself is large.

The size of Pandemonium after the Multiversal Convergence and after the merging of lands during the reassignment of the Ten Seas made Pandemonium landmass equal to the entire landmass of Earth before the Fall

Pandemonium and even other landmasses of the seven great powers are like Pangea landmasses with large rivers and large lakes and large everything.

When Pandemonium is embroiled in such a civil war, the kingdoms that is paying tribute to Pandemonium capital is also engaged in war with some siding with Wang Jian and some siding with Sasha and the fact that this continent is at war is like the whole world is at war if one look at it from the perspective of the size of the continent of Pandemonium.

And the fact was that in Pandemonium, all of those people who established kingdom are all Disk Formation realm levelers.

Their fights are like gods fighting. Mountains would be levelled, continent would be sundered, and the heaven and earth would change colors!

Even when the ceiling of power in the world has been raised with Azief reaching Essence Creation, the Disk Formation realm is still one of the most powerful fighting forces on Earth when beings like Azief did not make an appearance

Those who reached Disk Formation could sial the stars and even become a powerhouse in the Omniverse

In the many civilizations outside of Earth, far away from the Mily Way, Disk Formation realm is enough for them to be considered a very powerful being in the Omniverse.

And imagine Sina having to sort out this mess.

Azief himself would find it a headache. Of course, most of the time, he would just delegate this stuff.

Sina could not come.

As for Sofia, she is outside of Pandemonium, and she would have heard the news

But for her to come.....that would be too awkward.

But Katarina....and Loki, these two were prime candidates.

Loki is someone he never understood and Azief doesn’t think he would understand him whether he came or not came

To judge him and assess him is incredibly hard. But Katarina is someone he knows would try to come

There is an understanding between them
