Love Command: Darling, Do You Yield?-Chapter 60 - 61: Iris Harris, why wasn’t it you who died? (2)
Chapter 60: Chapter 61: Iris Harris, why wasn’t it you who died? (2)
"Iris, why wasn’t it you who died?"
Venomous words, as if dipped in poison, spilled from the man’s handsome lips. Iris’s pupils shrank violently, and she felt a bone-chilling cold.
"I truly regret meeting you," Brandan said. "In my whole life, I’ve never been more disgusted by anyone. Why are you even alive in this world?"
These were words that truly pierced the heart.
Iris never knew that the power of words could be so terrifying.
Especially since these words came from Brandan’s mouth.
Her face gradually turned pale, almost to a bluish hue.
She looked into the eyes of the man in front of her, seeing the malice in his gaze that seemed to pierce through her heart.
After saying these words, Brandan took a step back, withdrew his gaze from her, and left without a glance.
Iris stared blankly at his back, and finally, unable to stand, she knelt down on the ground.
Her trembling fingers covered her lips tightly, and tears uncontrollably fell, scalding as they dripped onto the floor.
Iris wondered if it would really be better if she died?
She really felt she couldn’t endure any longer...
If she died, wouldn’t it mean she wasn’t breaking a promise?
She had loved only one person in this lifetime, waited for him for ten years, but how did it turn out like this?
How did it come to be like this...

Viola Harris’s surgery took twelve hours before she finally came out of the operating room.
Her life was saved, but the doctor said she had multiple fractures and a severe concussion, and she might have to stay in the hospital for a long time to recover.
Viola was still under anesthesia and unconscious, but after she came out, Brandan stayed by her bedside, holding her hand, not taking his eyes off her. For a moment, Iris felt as if she were the villain, the one breaking apart Viola and Brandan.
Even if she saved Brandan five years ago, so what?
The one he loves now is her.
Viola was right, Brandan ultimately belonged to her, and she could not take him away.
She didn’t dare to enter. Instead, she sat in the hospital corridor, watching people come and go.
The door to the ward was slightly ajar, and she could hear Mrs. Harris’s soft sobs: "You sent her that message and then hung up the phone. Viola was about to go mad. She couldn’t reach you and cried, saying you didn’t want her anymore. I reassured her it wasn’t true, but then someone called us to say you married Iris..."
"I never imagined Viola would be so desperate. In a moment of inattention, she jumped off the balcony."
"Brandan, she truly loves you, Brandan..."
...
Lady Hyde gently walked over and took Iris’s hand.
"Iris, it’s getting late. Let me take you to rest."
Iris looked up at Lady Hyde, then softly said, "Auntie, I’m not tired yet."
But Lady Hyde didn’t let go, pulling her to her feet: "Then keep me company while I rest. I’m lonely alone."
Iris hesitated for a moment before standing up, allowing Lady Hyde to lead her into her resting room.
Lady Hyde entered the room, poured a cup of hot water, and handed it to Iris, "Drink some to warm yourself. Look at you, your fingers are ice-cold."
Iris took the water and sat on the sofa in a daze, as Lady Hyde came over and sat beside her.
