Love Command: Darling, Do You Yield?-Chapter 85 - 86 I Only Want the Child1
Chapter 85: Chapter 86 I Only Want the Child1
Iris Harris rested upstairs for an hour before coming down.
Lady Hyde saw her coming down, went over to hold her hand, and, noticing Iris Harris’s pale complexion, asked worriedly, "Iris, what’s wrong? Are you feeling unwell?"
Iris rubbed her temples and shook her head, "I’ve been a bit busy at work lately, it should get better after a while."
"You’re pregnant, don’t overwork yourself." Lady Hyde couldn’t just tell her to stop working because of her pregnancy, so she could only advise her like this.
She truly felt sorry for her. With neither parental love, she had single-handedly supported the Harris Clan, which was on the brink of collapse, ever since she took over, while her sister Viola Harris, a few years younger, was enjoying a life of leisure and travel. By the time Iris was Viola’s age, she was already working at the company.
Truly, people have different fates.
Iris nodded gently. She raised her head and looked not far away as Brandan Hyde walked in through the door, a tall and distinguished man with an innate elegance. He went into the dining room, and Iris silently withdrew her gaze, saying to Lady Hyde, "Auntie, let’s have dinner."
Iris didn’t really have much of an appetite.
She couldn’t eat anything heavy at the moment, only some vegetables. Although Lady Hyde took care of her, the dishes made by the cook didn’t suit her taste like Faye’s did. She had also lost a lot of weight recently.
However, she didn’t dare go back to live, fearing Brandan would come looking for her again, and she couldn’t protect her child from him.
After contemplating, divorce seemed to be the most effective solution.
Iris absentmindedly ate some rice and glanced up at Brandan. Ever since Lady Hyde reprimanded him last time, he hadn’t returned home. She couldn’t find him to discuss divorce, nor did she dare to confront him alone.
Now he was finally back, so she decided to discuss the divorce matter with him tonight.
Iris felt full after a few bites, put down her chopsticks, and said to Lady Hyde, "Auntie, I’m done. I’ll head upstairs first."
Having lived with her for a few days, Lady Hyde knew Iris didn’t eat much, so she nodded and responded, "Okay."
After Iris left, Lady Hyde instructed the servants to bring over some plum juice freshly cooked today from the fridge, then sat in her seat, sighing lightly, lost in thought. frёeweɓηovel_coɱ
Sometimes, she really regretted it. If she hadn’t encouraged Iris and Brandan’s relationship back then, would they be like this now?
She had always given Iris hope and put pressure on Brandan, one chasing relentlessly and the other persistently refusing, which led to the current situation.
Brandan glanced at where Iris sat earlier, noticing she barely touched her bowl of rice.
Is she a cat? Eating just that little?
Brandan frowned slightly, feeling somewhat dissatisfied.

After dinner, Brandan went upstairs.
He stood on the balcony, feeling the breeze, when he heard a few knocks on the door.
"Who?"
"It’s me, Brandan." Iris’s voice came through the door, "Do you have time? I have something to talk to you about."
Brandan was slightly surprised.
Iris actually came to see him?
What could they possibly have to talk about?
Nevertheless, he walked over and opened the door.
Iris stood at the door. She looked like she had just taken a shower; her slightly wavy hair hung like damp seaweed down to her waist, and her skin, freshly bathed, appeared rosy, making her look much healthier than she did downstairs earlier.
