Chapter 581: A Little Trip Outside The Palace

Arielle nodded in understanding. "Ah, I see. Eum... what if this also becomes my need?" she asked with a wide smile that made Aimee wipe her face.

The shopkeeper returned and confirmed the order made by Arielle. It was a coincidence that today the palace was opened, and many people from various towns and villages in Northendell visited the capital to meet the king, so they produced more bread than usual.

William, who was waiting outside, was starting to feel cold. He peeked inside to see what the princess had bought because they had been inside for quite a while. He saw Arielle and Irene sitting on the couch then two men came out of the door carrying several baskets containing boxes of milk.

A caravan carriage usually used for lifting goods appeared at the front of the bakery and the men loaded baskets full of milk boxes and baguettes.

Willian looked at them, watching carefully if there was anything suspicious, so he could immediately check them.

Arielle, Aimee, and Irene came out of the shop, accompanied by the shopkeeper who smiled widely and thanked her many times.

"Thank you very much, Your Highness. I am truly honored for your visit."

Arielle waved her hand. "I-I also thank you."

The man pulled his hat off and bowed.

"And congratulations on your wedding."

"Thank you," Arielle replied. "Then... I will go back first."

The man was still bowing, followed by his two employees.

Arielle smiled and took Aimee and Irene back to their carriage. William frowned as the carriage left the shop, the caravan carrying the food and warm milk following behind them.

William felt something strange. The caravan continued to follow them until he had to stop Arielle’s carriage and tell the princess to wait for a while. He turned to approach the caravan and asked the coachman where he was going because as they headed north, they would enter the area of forest that separated the palace and the city.

"Excuse me, where is this caravan going? Because up ahead is the direction of the palace."

The coachman looked confused. "I’m going to the palace too."

"You want to meet the king? Why do you carry this much stuff?"

"Oh... not at all. These have all been bought by Her Highness the Queen. I was only in charge of carrying it to the palace because the carriage she was using didn’t have enough space."

William frowned. He remembered that the caravan was filled with boxes of milk and baguettes. Why did Princess Arielle buy all of that? The palace food storage kept milk in stock, and of course the palace chef could make the baguette too if the princess wanted it.

William returned to Arielle’s carriage to make sure of it.

"Your Highness, why did you buy that much food and milk?" He asked from outside the window.

"Oh... I just wanted to share with the people who were already lining up to meet Ronan. It’s so cold today, I don’t want them to get sick."

William blinked a few times in surprise. Princess Arielle said what? Buying for people in line? He glanced at the caravan behind them and cleared his throat. Was that the purpose of the princess asking the number of people who visited the palace earlier?

Ah... if that was the case, then there was no need to ask the coachman like before. William nodded in understanding, and Arielle gave the man a small smile, apologizing for not asking William’s opinion first.

William waved his hand to let the carriage move on again, and now he rode his horse behind the caravan to protect the food and milk that Princess Arielle had bought for the visitors.

After they arrived at the palace courtyard, Arielle went down, assisted by William. So did with Aimee and Irene. Lucas, who was waiting at the front, immediately brought all of Arielle and Irene’s painting equipment to be placed in a special room that the princess used to paint.

Arielle then asked the help of several guards near there to carry all the baskets of food and warm milk to the Blackthorn Palace where people queued very long.

"William," Arielle called.

The man left his place to approach the princess. "Yes, Your Highness. Can I help you?"

"Eum... is it already lunch time? I promise to come back before lunchtime to Ronan."

William took out his pocket watch and checked. "Not yet, Your Highness. The king’s break is still thirty minutes away."

"Thank you. And I ask for help... to distribute all the food and warm milk evenly... I... will accompany Irene for a while."

"Very well, Your Highness. I will do well."

Arielle clapped William’s hand happily. "Thank you very much, William. You are the best."

William chuckled. He was grateful that no red-eyed human was watching them right now, so he didn’t have to feel threatened because of the man’s sometimes irrational jealousy.

"It’s an honor for me," William said elegantly.

Arielle waved her hand and left the palace courtyard to go to her painting room. There, she introduced Irene to some of the paintings she had made. Arielle’s eyes widened in shock when she saw the painting of Ronan who was not wearing a shirt there.

Arielle hastily pulled Irene’s face before the girl looked to the side. With an outstretched hand, she turned the painting over so Irene wouldn’t see it.

"What’s wrong, Arielle?" asked Irene who was confused by Arielle’s awkward attitude.

Arielle shook her head and chuckled.

"It’s okay, I’m just... a little tired?" She answered in an uncertain tone.

Arielle then introduced Irene to some of the paintings she had made. It wasn’t much because she was busy with many things while staying in the north. Arielle also mentioned the painting of the Blackthorn Palace without snow, which she presented to Priest Elis.

"Whaa... did you do all that?" Irene asked in amazement.

"Yeah. Do you want to try the equipment we bought earlier?" asked Arielle, making Irene nod quickly.
