Loving The Cursed Werewolf King-Chapter 768: Tania Will Be Leaving The Northendell
Arielle was alone in the library to complete the remaining tasks she had to do. Until there was a knock on the library door. She believed there was still some time until breakfast, but Tania already came to fetch her.
The woman smiled faintly. Arielle rushed up to greet Tania.
"Tania, what’s wrong? It’s rare for you to look for me. You are usually busy with your activities."
Tania let out a chuckle and brought her cane to enter the library.
"There isn’t anything important. I just wanted to talk to you for a moment, Your Majesty."
Arielle helped Tania to sit on the sofa. At least Tania would feel comfortable. Because the woman was no longer young, she always complained of the pain in her joints.
"What is it? Do you need something?"
Tania nodded.
"Your Majesty, do you remember Jonathan?"
Jonathan? Arielle tried to remember the name. And so far, she could only remember one person. It was a male painter who once taught her how to paint at Nieverdell. He was Tania’s friend.
"Isn’t that the painter who taught me how to paint back then?" asked Arielle to make sure.
"Yes, that man. Eum... long before today, His Majesty the King promised me that he would look for my friend’s whereabouts in exchange for me living in Northendell with you."
Tania explained how Ronan offered to help her. She had received news of what had happened to Jonathan, about how Jonathan lost his wife and daughter.
Tania and Jonathan used to exchange letters with her until one day the letters stopped. All the letters Jonathan sent never reached Tania and vice versa. Ronan had also lost track of Jonathan since the incident at Nieverdell. And a few days ago, Jonathan returned to Nieverdell after traveling around the kingdom.
Ronan had sent a letter to Jonathan, and Jonathan was going to visit Northendell to meet Tania.
"I have looked after you since you were born into the world. You also have found your happiness. His Majesty the King will surely always love and take good care of you."
"Tania ..."
"Ahahah. I don’t mean to complain, but... Northendell is such a cold place. My old bones will never be able to adapt to the temperature here."
Arielle knew what Tania wanted without the woman revealing it. However, she still wasn’t ready for that.
"I’ve seen you get married and most importantly you’re not a little princess from another kingdom anymore. You have now the power to protect yourself."
Tania reached out to touch Arielle’s hand. It would be selfish of her if she kept holding back Tania to stay here with her. All this time, Tania had done many things and sacrificed a lot for her.
Tania was like a mother and father who never existed in Arielle’s life. Tania deserved happiness, too. Although it was hard to let the woman go, Arielle still nodded her head.
"I understand, Tania," she replied in a trembling voice.
"Your Majesty... I will never leave you. I just want to go back to Nieverdell and live there. In a warm place. And I hope that you will never forget me, either."
Arielle hugged Tania tightly. "I will never forget you or leave you either, Tania! You are my everything! You have taken care of me since childhood. I already considered you as my own mother!" said Arielle who was still not willing to let go of her loyal maid.
Tania caressed Arielle’s back gently. "I will visit Northendell again when you are expecting a princess or a prince. I will arrive in the blink of an eye and accompany you from day one until your daughter and son are born safely to this world."
"Promise you’ll accompany me again?" asked Arielle still hugging Tania tightly.
"Of course. You only need to send a letter to me," Tania answered.
Arielle was quite sad to hear the news considering that Tania was always there for her. But because of her busy schedule, she rarely spends time with Tania. Arielle was busy with royal affairs, while Tania doesn’t want to disturb the queen’s activities.
Tania mostly busied herself by socializing with other maids. Or since Arielle got some new maids who are younger and competent than her, Tania serves Princess Irene more often. But Now Princess Irene will spend more time at the academy.
But a letter informing about Jonathan arrived. Jonathan offers to live together. They were both old friends who now have no one. Jonathan offers to live together in Tania’s old village in Nieverdell. A place much warmer than Northendell itself.
Ronan passed the letter to Tania. And after thinking for a while, Tania decided she wanted to return to Nieverdell. After seeing how Arielle had grown into a great person, Tania no longer had any worries. Arielle was able to protect herself, and that woman had many people who loved her in the palace. Far more than the love Tania could offer so far.
Arielle will be happy in Northendell. The woman will be fine without Tania’s help. Tania has proven it recently. Where she tried to stay away and see and evaluate that the queen was indeed an independent woman.
After deciding to accept Jonathan’s offer, Ronan won’t stay silent about the woman who has cared for his wife since she was a baby. Of course the man had prepared many things so that Tania could enjoy her old days with Jonathan.
"When will you be picked up?" asked Arielle while letting go of Tania’s embrace.
"I don’t know. But it will take several days to travel from Nieverdell to Northendell palace," Tania answered.
"I will be sad."
Tania stroked Arielle’s cheek gently. "But you soon will get over it. I’d be happy at Nieverdell. I will return to the women’s village and live there. So, if you wish to visit I shall gladly receive you."
"Of course. Take lots of stuff with you. If I need money, I’ll give it to you."
"Your Majesty ...."
Tania chuckled then smiled again. "Jonathan is a man in charge. You don’t need to worry about that. Everything your husband has given is enough."
Arielle nodded languidly.
Arielle’s library door was knocked from outside. Lucas had returned to say the dining hall was ready. Ronan and Prince Khaled have been waiting.
"I just wanted to say that because I don’t know if in the future I’ll have the time to talk to you again."
"Oh, Tania. You can call me any time. I will always have time if you call me."
"I know you will do that. Thank you for thinking of me, Your Majesty. But I am happier and more proud if you care more about this kingdom than me."
"Tania..."
"Your Majesty..."
