Lunar Legacy: Rise Of The Beastlord-Chapter 253: Creating a Pack
Jayden sat on the edge of his bed, his eyes fixed on the translucent screen hovering before him. The notification from earlier still pulsed faintly in his vision; Regent Alpha Title Activated.
He’d been so caught up in everything that happened today that he hadn’t had the chance to properly examine what it meant.
"Alright," he muttered. "Let’s see what this is all about."
The screen expanded witha thought, filling his vision with detailed information that made his heart race with anticipation.
[Title - Regent Alpha]
*Description:
[In the hierarchy of Lycanthropic power, there exists only one True Alpha. They are known as the apex predator, the progenitor of all Lycan bloodlines, and the absolute sovereign whose authority is unquestionable.
The Regent Alpha on the other hand, is a title given to Lycans related directly to the Supreme Alpha, and they will possess a fraction of the Supreme Alpha’s authority.
As a Regent Alpha, you have the ability to establish and govern your own Subpack; a gathering of individuals bound to you through respect, loyalty, and deep connection. Unlike traditional packs limited to blood relations or turned Lycans, your Subpack transcends these boundaries]
Jayden raised a brow. "Transcends boundaries? What does that mean?" he thought.
The system responded by opening another window, this one detailing the specific features of his newfound authority.
[SUBPACK FEATURES:
-No species restriction: Your pack may include Lycans, humans, other supernatural beings, and even beasts.
-Members retain their original nature, but gain pack connection benefits]
Jayden’s mind raced as he continued reading. This was far more extensive than he’d anticipated.
[SUBPACK MECHANICS]
*Pack Bond Formation:
Unlike the absolute dominance of the Supreme Alpha, the Regent Alpha’s bond operates on mutual respect and willing allegiance.
Criteria for Adding Sentient Members:
1. Admiration Threshold: A potential pack member must harbor significant admiration through; respect, affection, or loyalty toward you. This emotional connection serves as the foundation upon which the pack bond is built.
The system will display an "Admiration Meter" when you focus on individuals, showing their current disposition toward you.
2. Voluntary Acceptance: While the bond can be offered, it must be accepted... consciously or subconsciously, by the recipient. Forced bonds will fail or become corrupted.
3. Proximity Requirement: The initial bonding must occur within close physical proximity, allowing the universal energies to properly intertwine.
4. Compatibility: While any being can theoretically join your Subpack, those with stronger supernatural essence will form more powerful bonds]
Jayden leaned forward, his interest piqued. The system continued to elaborate, drawing upon various pack dynamics he recognized from different sources.
[Pack Bond Effects on Members]
*When an individual joins your Subpack, they will experience several changes:
1. Instinctive Trust: Pack members will find themselves naturally inclined to trust your judgment and leadership. This is not mind control or absolute obedience... their free will remains intact. But they will develop a deep-seated confidence in your decisions, similar to how one might trust a beloved mentor or respected leader. They may still disagree with you, argue against your plans, or refuse commands they find morally objectionable, but they will do so from a place of constructive concern rather than rebellious defiance.
2. Emotional Resonance: Pack members will develop a subtle awareness of your emotional state, particularly strong emotions like anger, joy, or distress. This connection works both ways, though you, as the Regent Alpha, will have a more refined sense of your pack’s emotional landscape. You will be subconsciously aware when a pack member is in danger, or near death.
3. Enhanced Communication: Pack members will find it easier to understand your intentions and meanings, even when communication is unclear.
4. Protective Instinct: Members will feel a natural inclination to protect you and their fellow pack members, though again, this can be overridden by personal choice and circumstances. 𝑓𝘳𝘦𝑒𝑤𝑒𝘣𝘯ℴ𝘷𝘦𝓁.𝑐𝑜𝑚
5. Subtle Physical Enhancement: Depending on the strength of the bond and the member’s own nature, they may experience minor improvements to their general capabilities... slightly faster healing, marginally increased strength, or enhanced senses. These benefits are most pronounced in human members and less noticeable in those who already possess supernatural abilities.
6. Hierarchical Awareness: Pack members will instinctively recognize the pack structure and their place within it, understanding the chain of command without needing explicit explanation.
[Pack Bond Effects on Regent Alpha]
*As leader of the pack, you will receive several benefits including:
1. Shared Experience: When pack members hunt beasts or defeat enemies, you receives a certain fraction of strength in form of Exp.
2. Strength in Numbers: For every person you add to the pack, Host will receive a permanent 2% increase to all stats per pack member.
Jayden whistled softly. This was incredibly powerful, especially the experience-sharing aspect. If he could build a strong pack, his growth rate could accelerate dramatically. He turned his attention back to the screen, reading the last bit of info.
[Key Notes:
-Pack bonds cannot be forced. They must be earned through genuine connection and acceptance.
-Only people with high admiration for you are eligible to even attempt forming a pack bond with.
-Pack members can be added with a simple command as long as the requirements have been met.
-Finally, all beasts and other less intelligent creatures must first be tamed before they can be integrated into your pack. (See more info when you receive the Ability: Beast Taming]
Jayden absorbed all the information easily, but frowned at the last part. "Tame them?" he voiced out. "What does that even mean? Like... pet them until they like me?"
[It’s more complex than that] Luna explained. [Beasts operate on instinct and power hierarchies. To tame one, you’d need to either defeat it in combat and spare its life, save it from danger, or prove yourself as the stronger being. Some beasts are intelligent enough to recognize strength and willingly submit. Others require more... persuasive measures]
Jayden sighed. "That sounds dangerous."
Luna scoffed. [Everything about your new life is dangerous, Jayden. Get used to it]
Jayden let out a silent exhale. He couldn’t argue with that logic. And before he could process everything he’d just learnt, a new notification appeared:
[PACK CREATION AVAILABLE. Would you like to establish your Subpack?]
[YES] | [NO]
