Xavier landed beside Sylve, breathing heavily as he turned to face the Queen.

She was trapped in the hardened ground, her massive legs twitching and trying to push herself free.
Cracks already began to form in the earth as her sheer strength started to break through the hardened mud.
"She won’t be stuck for long," Sylve said, stepping back. "We need to act fast."
Xavier wiped the sweat from his forehead.
He had burned through most of his Mana, and the last Wind Stride had barely saved him.
Immediately he opened his inventory and grabbed the iron fang snake crystal. He had to make this count.
[Arcane Siphon]
[+200 Mana]
[+100 Mana absorbed]
"Alright, I’m going to make a clone of her," Xavier said.
"It won’t be as strong, but it should be enough to throw her off balance and buy us time to deal a powerful strike"
"You can clone something that big?" Sylve asked, her eyes widening.
"Not perfectly, but I don’t need it to be perfect—just enough to distract her," Xavier replied.
The Queen let out an enraged screech, her legs cracking the ground beneath her. She was getting closer to breaking free.
Xavier didn’t waste time [Frost Reflection].
He activated his ability, pouring his remaining Mana into creating the clone and a mirror appeared facing the Queen ant.
A second Queen ant materialized right beside the real one made entirely of ice.
It wasn’t perfect; its movements were slightly sluggish, and its exoskeleton had cracks running along its surface, but it was close enough.
The problem with his clone was its durability since it was made of ice, but this was a perfect chance; since the actual Queen was trapped, he just needed his clone to bite the head of the actual one.
The real Queen ant turned her glowing red eyes towards the clone, hesitating for the first time, it was shocked to see a replica of itself.
That hesitation was all Xavier needed.
"Attack!" he ordered.
The clone lunged forward with its mandibles, slamming into the real Queen, but she also blocked with hers.
The impact sent both of them crashing against the ground, shaking the entire battlefield.
The Queen shrieked, thrashing as she tried to stand up since she had broken free, but the clone retaliated, snapping its mandibles at her.
The smaller ants hesitated, confused by the sudden appearance of a second Queen.
Most of them couldn’t move as they continued staring at both of the Queens, but they knew the scent of their Queen but that distraction was the aim.
Sylve didn’t waste the opportunity. She raised her hands again. "Stone spikes!"
Massive spikes of stone erupted from the ground, impaling several smaller ants and blocking the path to the Queen.
The battlefield was turning into chaos, but it was finally in their favor.
Xavier, still catching his breath, turned to Sylve. "We need to hit the Queen now while she’s distracted."
"On it, but how do we hit her when both of them are still fighting?"
"My clone isn’t going to last long, it’s already cracking, we just have to wait once the clone is destroyed then we strike"
The Harpy flapping her wings, she unleashed a powerful gust of wind that sent dozens of ants flying backward toward the dwarf, who slammed his hammer, destroying ten of them at once.
The Queen and the ice clone continued their fierce struggle, their massive mandibles clashing against each other until one part of the Cline’s mandible broke off.
Xavier’s clone fought hard, but cracks were already forming along its icy exoskeleton. It wouldn’t last much longer.
The Harpy hovered above, her sharp eyes locked on the battlefield. "It’s about to break!" she called out.
Xavier clenched his sword tightly. "Get ready!"
He wanted to be the one to deal the finishing blow; his eyes were locked on the Queen, and they needed to finish it in an instant.
With one final lunge, the Queen shattered the ice clone, its body breaking apart into thousands of shimmering shards.
The Queen let out a victorious screech, but her triumph was short-lived.
The moment the clone shattered, Xavier and Sylve moved in.
"Now!" Xavier shouted.
Sylve raised her hands, summoning more stone spikes from the ground.
They shot up beneath the Queen, stabbing into her legs and pinning her in place once again. She shrieked in pain as she struggled to pull away.
The Harpy swooped down from above, causing the attention of the Queen to shift to her, but the Harpy didn’t attack.
Xavier didn’t hesitate as he moved. He didn’t have enough mana to maintain his [Wind Stride], but he didn’t need to ask. He dashed forward with incredible speed.

He leaped onto one of the stone spikes and used it as a platform to propel himself even higher using Mana.
Channeling his Mana into the blade. It glowed with a faint blue light as Xavier lifted himself, he jumped at an angle that would let him cut through.
The Queen, still trying to stop the Harpy from attacking and trying to free herself from Sylve’s stone spikes, didn’t have time to react.
Xavier swung his sword with all his strength, aiming directly at the soft spot that connected her head to her thorax.
The blade sliced clean through.
The Queen let out an ear-piercing screech, her body convulsing violently as Xavier fell to the ground.
For a second, it seemed she had all the strength in the world as she broke out of Sylve’s stone spikes, but her movements grew weaker with each passing second, and she couldn’t make any attempts to attack.
Finally, with one last shudder, she collapsed onto the ground and landed with a massive thud, her legs twitching before going completely still.
For a moment, there was silence but it was broken as the dwarf smashed the head of the last king ant.
Xavier was already on the ground as he lost control when landing with possibly broken bones, but still, he had a smile on his face. He couldn’t have done it alone, but it didn’t matter, and slowly, the pain was starting to set in.
