Mage Manual-Chapter 1428 - 1042: Why Are You Making Me Watch This!
Ash lay on the balcony chair, sipping milk tea, using Sonia’s Miracle Bracelet to watch drama series over the years.
The dormitories of the noble university are naturally equipped with washing and drying machines, and even Cleaning Magic Dolls that automatically clean while students have classes. Therefore, the balcony doesn’t have private garments of female college students hanging out to dry. Instead, the windowsills are full of potted plants, and wind chimes and stars hang from the ceiling as decoration. The breeze gently blows, producing delightful ringing and dazzling stars.
Over the past year, whenever Sonia got tired from her cultivation, she would comfortably lay down here, open the Light Screen, and enjoy a period of undisturbed serenity.
But it was just too captivating.
Ash simply couldn’t hold back, watching episode after episode, getting more annoyed the more he watched. Why are all the dramas starring Dedarose so good! Can’t they be a little less interesting!
Yet the elegance beneath the Starry Sky—the smiles and frowns, words and whispers, effortlessly captured the attention of the Cult Leader completely. It wasn’t until the ending theme played that he snapped out of it, but he still involuntarily replayed the storyline in his mind, his emotions ebbing and flowing with the heroine’s joys and sorrows.
Ash might be the only person in the Annals to have known Dedarose before watching her dramas, even if he approached with the arrogance and bias, viewing her works with the most critical eye; he still became captivated by her extraordinary talents.
Regrettable! How are all tactile abilities so impressive! 𝒻𝘳𝘦𝘦𝘸ℯ𝒷𝘯𝘰𝑣ℯ𝑙.𝘤𝑜𝘮
Eternal Damnation, although swept away, Kingdom of Gospel can be termed as a hellish start; losing to Gospel Divine Being is not disgraceful;
Mercury Wooden Horse rose from obscurity, sweeping across the Land of Senluo within a few years, at its peak, it ruled over more than half the territories, destroying most sects. If not for Senluo’s destined downfall, she might have even become the Pope of Four Pillars God Sect;
Chaos Songstress infiltrated Dazzling Star for many years, her main task was anti-Starry Sky, acting and singing were only a disguise, yet she became the memory of a generation, revered as the most beautiful under the Starry Sky, the idol countless teenagers longed for!
Their experiences perfectly illustrated the philosophy: if there’s a will, there’s a way, and if not, then make one!
By comparison...
Ash suddenly remembered, Heath was a national creator in the Kingdom of Allstars, although a Plagiarist, it still sufficiently demonstrated the commercial acumen of Blood Moon’s tactile ability.
Did the Gods of Four Pillars find this group of talents, or did they turn them into talents? Ash’s hypothesis wasn’t groundless, because ever since becoming the tactile ability of the Fiery Princess, he vaguely sensed the threads of thoughts.
Currently, the effective range is very small, needing almost face-to-face to see the other’s thoughts, except when encountering Tsundere, when it’s hardly useful. However, Rose mentioned that Ash’s Tactile Ability is linearly related to her strength, if she becomes stronger, or if Ash’s connection with her tightens, Ash’s perception range would expand significantly, possibly covering the entire world.
By then, anyone who thinks of him, Ash could instantly perceive and attack beyond visual range via thought threads. At such a level, he would essentially become an "indescribable, unimaginable, and unviewable" entity.
As for making Rose stronger or tightening his connection with her, the only current method is to hold another "Thought Fulfillment Ritual" in the Thought Domain... Ash could only cover his face at this thought, feeling his cheeks burn as he knocked his head hard.
Fortuitously, accumulation over time is necessary for thoughts, thus the fulfillment ritual must be spaced, so at least for the short term, he won’t be dragged into the Thought Domain again.
"Bored?" Sonia asked as she opened the balcony door and sat on his lap.
Despite the cold weather, she wore a pleated skirt, black knee-high socks reaching above her knees, slightly squeezing her thighs, and revealing a small segment. Her creamy skin wasn’t slim but plump with healthy firmness. Her rounded hips pressed faintly on Ash’s lap.
Ash shook his head, "No, just experiencing what it’s like for you to watch ’Blades of Survival’ here."
"I’ve never watched ’Blades of Survival’ here."
"Then what do you watch here?"
Sonia tilted her head, letting strands of charm flow through her brows and eyes, "I watch you."
Ash glanced at her, and his fingers climbed along her high socks to her thigh before she quickly caught them. The Sword Maiden sat upright, her cheeks flushed a gentle red, facing the dormitory, whispering almost inaudibly, "They’re watching us..."
Ash blinked his eyes, "Should we let them leave?"
Sonia softly bit her lower lip, casting a sideways glance of irritation at him, the smile in her eye corner more captivating than any drama’s joys and sorrows. The thread of thoughts seemed to hook Ash’s soul along the gaze. She pulled Ash up, "We should head back."
Back.
Her home, no longer limited to this dormitory.
Ash had been perceptive enough to stay on the balcony, giving the girls space for private conversation. Upon entering, the dormitory’s atmosphere subtly shifted, Lois sitting properly on the chair, legs closed with not a single gap visible, appearing somewhat stiff; Ingrid leaning against the ladder, hands behind her, seeming a bit dejected; Adelle most tense, fists clenched at her chest like a boxing stance, seemingly ready to face off with Ash.
