Magus: Rise of the Darkness Empress-Chapter 132: Ch : Storage Item

Weiss immediately took her sword out and cut the stone in two pieces. She had made sure to strengthen her sword to the best of her ability using the ancient force because she was not sure how strong a stone created by magic would be. There was a possibility that a stone created because of an attack magic would be stronger than even metals.

But it turned out that Weiss was overthinking. She had managed to cut the stone quite easily and it was just slightly stronger than a regular stone.

But still, because of its incredible speed, getting hit by this fast traveling stone would be a death sentence for most people, even the knights. Most probably only a high level knight would have a chance of survival against this volley of super fast stones.

As the man clad in black mist shot more and more stones toward her, Weiss cut all of them down without much difficulty. With her strength as a Grand knight, she was not in any kind of danger.

So while still continuing to cut down the stones, she started to observe the man clad in black mist. With how his eyes had turned red and how he was not saying anything and was just groaning, Weiss judged that he had lost his sanity for some reason.

And the most probable reason was right before her eyes, which was the black mist. But Weiss had no idea what this black mist was. From the little knowledge that she had about magic and the magus world, she had never heard of anything like this.

Still, even though it was dangerous, Weiss wanted to get this man without killing him. He was the first magus she was meeting so he was also a very valuable source of information. So obviously Weiss wanted him to be alive rather than dead.

So while continuing to cut down the barrage of stones, Weiss closed the distance between her and the old man with Fleet Footed steps. Then she hit the back of his head quite hardly with the handle of her sword.

This strike should have been enough to make him to faint. But that did not happen. Even though he froze for a few seconds after the strike, he again started his attack as if nothing had happened.

Even after this failure, Weiss tried several more times to make the man to faint by hitting him in different spots but she failed each and every time. And the reason for this failure was not her lack of strength.

After several tried, Weiss noticed that it was impossible to make this man to lose his senses. Currently it was not his brain that was controlling the body but the black mist was actually in control.

Weiss had already tried it get rid of the black mist but she had not been successful. The ancient force had managed to show some results but even that was very limited and would be able to remove all the black mist even if she exhausted herself.

So while continuing the fight, Weiss was trying to come up with an effective plan as soon as possible. She needed to do it fast, before anyone else could arrive here after noticing the disturbance.

But before Weiss could come up with a good idea, something unexpected happened. Suddenly the black mist on the body of the man became agitated for some reason and started to expand. In this process, out of nowhere, suddenly the body of the old apprentice magus got torn apart. 𝙛𝓻𝒆𝓮𝒘𝙚𝙗𝒏𝙤𝙫𝓮𝒍.𝓬𝒐𝙢

This made even Weiss to freeze for a moment. She was trying to find a way to save the man just a second ago and now he was not left with even an intact corpse.

But that was not all. The black mist was not satisfied with just tearing the body of the man into shreds and next, it started to devour his body. In a blink of an eyes, all the flesh, blood and bones of this man were gone.

After this, the black mist also started to disappear and fade away while Weiss watched all of this with a lot of surprise in her heart. When all the black mist was gone, the only thing left behind was the clothes that the man was wearing and a small ring.

Weiss quickly collected all of that and left this area. After just a few minutes of her leaving, a few men appeared here and saw the signs of destruction in several places. But there was no one present in this area.

So the men just search the area for a little bit and then left with disappointment. They had hoped to profit from the sideline if a conflict was taking place here but this place turned out to have nothing for them.

After getting away from the battlefield, Weiss appered in a remote alley and stopped. With her keen senses, she was perfectly aware of all the presences in a radius of several kilometers. So hiding herself was a very easy task for her.

With these same senses, Weiss also noticed that Lance, Elise and the others were still busy having fun in the back alley. So she had some free time in her hand. Elise was really doing a good job of buying time for her.

With that in mind, Weiss started to check what she had gotten from the old man. First she carefully check the clothes which turned out to be just regular clothing without anything special about them.

But then she started checking the ring and immediately her eyes widened in suprise. This ring was a magic item and one of the rare magic items that even a non magus was also able to use.

As for the function of this ring, that was what surprised her the most. As soon as she tried to activate it, information regarding this came to her mind.

The name of this ring was Storage Ring. It had a space of 3 meter by 3 meter inside it. There she could store any non living thing.

Weiss had heard about the Storage items from the letter of Jonus Souran. He also had a storage item in the form of a pouch but he had to sell it in order to gather funds for his last try at advancement. They were considered to be one of the most valuable items that an apprentice magus could get their hands on.

This immediately made Weiss extremely happy. Even though the storage area was not very large, this item would still be very useful to her in various different ways.

Then Weiss immediately put the ring on her middle finger of her left hand and started to return to the market. Lance and the other men were almost done and were about to come out of the back alley.

Weiss’s main objective for coming out here had been fulfilled and she had even gained something unexpected. So obviously she was in a very good mood. So she decided to take it easy for the time being and relax a bit until lunchtime.
