Magus Supremacy-Chapter 815: Hungry?
Chapter 815
While all this was going on, Grey remained seated on Noir’s back with his legs crossed in a lotus-like position.
His eyes were closed in deep cultivation as he tried his absolute best to recover all the mana he had lost.
To power the massive magic circle from earlier, the ritual had drained his essence without leaving a single drop remaining in his core.
Even with his eyelids shut, he could still feel the chaotic battle raging around him.
With his heightened perception, it felt as though he could still see every corner of the battlefield and the various fights unfolding in real-time.
This awareness actually slowed his progress massively, as he became worried whenever his allies sustained a painful injury or received a heavy hit.
He would frequently open his eyes while contemplating whether to join the fray or remain still.
This indecision was why he hadn’t even been able to recover a quarter of his mana yet, even after so many precious minutes had passed.
Finally coming to a firm decision, Grey decided to turn off his mind totally.
It was an absolute shutdown as he blocked out all intrusive thoughts and every flickering feeling.
Even his perception of his immediate surroundings vanished, leaving him totally blind while his eyes remained closed to the world.
All he focused on now was recovering his mana. Nothing else mattered.
If anybody died, so be it.
As long as the victims weren’t overly close to him, their fate didn’t affect his concentration.
After making sure that Finral, Liam, and Ray were still within his vicinity—while giving Noir a final instruction to ensure they didn’t move away—he shut his eyes once more and began focusing intensely.
’Hopefully, I can bring in reinforcements before it’s too late... wait! Why hasn’t Alba joined in on the fighting?’

As that thought settled in Grey’s mind, the female he was worried about could be seen still sitting calmly in the spectator stands.
She had watched the seven thousand-person crowd from earlier vanish around her without the teleportation light ever touching her skin.
Though not explicitly given the instruction, Noir was smart enough to avoid the stage seven warrior sitting in the stands, as she was vital to Grey’s intricate plans.
But now, she hadn’t even tried to make a single move since the whole fight started, choosing instead to just keep watching the carnage.
Her eyes darted from side to side.
From Rivock’s brutal battle to Noelle’s, and then to Gunther’s before shifting toward Thalos and Fenrir, she watched the events unfold with a serene expression.
She made no attempt to move, even though Grey’s allies were clearly being cornered by their enemies.
Why?
’Ah shoot... I’m so hungry right now,’ she mused loudly in her mind as she ran a hand through her crimson hair.
Then, turning to look at Grey who had his eyes shut atop the massive wolf familiar, she smiled thinly.
’... I’m hungry for my own personal opponent. I really don’t want to share with the others as it’s not really my style. I will only join the fray if Grey himself joins in.
Until then, I need my own singular opponent to crush.’
She groaned inwardly as she rubbed her chin while turning to her sides, scanning the arena for a worthy challenge.
’Why didn’t Grey teleport these folks too?’ she wondered.
That was because scattered around the spectating stands were several members from the Midnight Sun Clan who didn’t even attempt to move despite all the nearby fighting.
They only sat like silent statues, watching the battle going on with eerily calm expressions on their faces.
’I need to keep an eye on them for a while longer. If they try to act funny, I will make sure they regret it massively.’
At that same time, Ray, Liam, and Finral were watching the surrounding chaos nervously.
"Do you think we can successfully do this?" Liam asked with a fearful tone in his voice, his eyes darting frantically from fight to fight.
At that exact moment, he caught sight of Rivock being flung backwards with a jagged gash across his abdomen, dark blood oozing out from the wound.
At that point, Liam felt like falling on his knees; he was shaking like a leaf out of water from the sheer terror of the display.
He kept gulping repeatedly as he turned his attention away from the fallen Rivock to look at Drevor. Cold dread began creeping over his neck, making his skin crawl.
’Ri-Rivock lost? That beast actually lost? What kind of monstrous opponents are we even up against at this point?’
Loud bangs filled the air, drawing their attention toward the struggle of Thalos and Fenrir versus Orion.
Then, right before their horrified eyes, the mighty gargoyle was slapped loudly and sent flying into the distance like a discarded toy.
"Yup. We are all dead fam." Liam swallowed hard as he proceeded to collapse on his knees in total dread.
The other two were beyond shocked at the disastrous turn of events occurring around the whole coliseum. 𝗳𝐫𝚎𝗲𝚠𝚎𝗯𝕟𝐨𝘃𝚎𝗹.𝗰𝗼𝗺
"Is-Isn’t that Grey’s aid that went toe-to-toe with a demon? Ho-How did he just go flying from a single slap?" Ray shouted, his voice cracking in disbelief.
As if the shock that had been building around them wasn’t enough, they saw Rowen move like a blurred streak and bash his leg into Gunther.
The impact sent his whole body spiraling through the air with blood oozing out from his mouth.
Liam began hiccuping continuously as he clutched his chest, his breathing becoming shallow.
"I-I just want to see my mum again. What is all this?"
Tears began flowing freely from his eyes as he witnessed the grim scenes playing out before them.
"Is this why Grey didn’t let us try attacking them?" Finral muttered under his breath, turning his gaze toward the twenty-four stage five warrior guards in the distance who remained standing still, refusing to move from their defensive positions.
At that exact moment, heavy footsteps could be heard coming from behind them, causing the trio to spin around only to see a bulky man walking toward them from the west booth.
A deep frown was etched onto his face, his murderous gaze fixated entirely on the meditating Grey.
This was Pluck; the strongest vice leader the Behemoth clan had in their ranks.
Before the trio could even blink, Pluck was already airborne.
He held his hand high as a swirling mass of Ki gathered in an instant, which he then prepared to launch directly toward the defenseless Grey.
Noir turned his head around to see the human hovering in the air.
The wolf’s eyes moved back to Grey, who was still balanced on his back in deep cultivation.
’If I move, I might distract him and ruin the recovery.’
But luckily, the familiar didn’t even need to shift his weight as a loud, triumphant feminine voice shouted aloud.
"Finally!"
BANG—!
A streak of brilliant crimson could be seen zipping through the air at blazing speed, hurtling toward Pluck like a guided missile.
