Magus Supremacy-Chapter 850: Big Sinister Reveal
Chapter 850
The moment Thalos launched the attack that forced the warrior to cough up blood, he wasted no time in lunging to the crater where Orion supposedly lay.
They were beginning to pressure the warrior, they were beginning to push him back tremendously.
Everybody could see that. Mada, Gunther, Sera, Leo, Alba and her clan, those in the west and north booth and even Orion himself.
They could all feel it, Grey could just win this. His battle IQ was tremendous for someone his age and could even rival an experienced warrior.
If he had been fighting any other person, he would have won instantly but against Orion, he kept on pouring everything he had. Pushing his brain, mind, body and power to the absolute limit.
He wasn’t backing down and wasn’t ready to lose even though he knew that his total mana pool was now a shallow amount compared to when the battle had began.
If something didn’t change soon, he would run out of mana and he doubted if his Ki would be enough to even keep him alive long enough from the hands of the warrior before them all.
Thalos’ greatsword cut through the cloud of dust that had now formed over Orion and was now rocketing towards the man’s head at crazy speed.
Just a moment away from striking him, his greatsword froze— unable to go lower no matter how much power Thalos poured.
He was stuck!
’What—?’
Staring down, he could see a yellow sheen encasing Orion’s hands. It was obviously ki.
This increased his power to another height that forced Thalos’ blade to remain stuck.
Before he could process what was going on, a slap from Orion shot forward smashing the gargoyle across the coliseum and turning half the spectating stands into a pile of rubble.
Rising out of the crater he had been smashed into by the same gargoyle, Noir appeared before the man in a flash as his horn glowed with deadly light.
"You damn familiar, know you fucking place!" Orion thundered as his anger was rapidly rising when he swung his hand forward.
His speed was so immensely great that Grey hadn’t had the time to react when the warrior drove his fist into the familiar’s head.
His horn shattered under the force of the punch as Orion’s hands pulverised the familiar’s head before shattering the ground where they stood therefore creating another massive hollow in the ground kicking up a mound of dust.
Grey’s heart lurched at this sight. His eyes widened as he saw Orion’s hand lodged in the head of his familiar.
Noir had been with Grey since the start of his journey as a mage. Encountered on a planet of the dwarves where they battled rigourously before he accepted to bond with him.
Years of bickering, years of assisting him when he was in a pinch, years of annoying the Supreme Magus.
And now, the familiar was gone as if he never existed.
A bubbling sensation was now beginning to rise in Grey’s heart. His blood began boiling as if it was about to burst out from his body.
His jaw clenched so tightly that a hairline crack appeared around his teeth.
Through his anger, the mage failed to realise that the familiar wasn’t even bleeding as an ethereal light wrapped around the body before vanishing without a trace.
All Grey saw was Orion standing there with a confused look on his face as he saw the last of the spectral light vanish.
"First, your damned organization took my mother from me!" Grey began as his composure was cracking with every step he took forward.
"... Then you all took Millie and Vanessa from me and now you have taken Noir from me?"
Finral blinked.
’Huh? Millie and Vanessa?’
His heart began thudding as he stared at Grey’s back trying to make sense of what the mage was saying.
His mind was refusing to process everything he had just said. Nothing was making sense as his mouth hung open for a second.
Stiffly turning towards Ray, he opened his mouth again and then uttered;
"... What did he say happened to Millie and Vanessa?"
Ray couldn’t give a reply as he turned away from Finral while the lad was the more enraged as he swirled Ki to his throat and then bellowed.
"GREY! What the fuck happened to my sisters?!"
Grey froze in his tracks.
He blinked on hearing Finral’s question. He-He never intended for him to find out this way.
Through the heat of his rage, he blurted out the truth and now, he would have to face the boy.
However, Orion wasn’t about to let this opportunity pass. Seeing Grey freeze for that single moment, the warrior was ready to capitalize on this opening.
But Kaiser wasn’t about to let this happen as five hundred wind swords rushed towards the warrior.
Unfortunately, with inhuman agility, the warrior began weaving through the swords dodging them all while approaching Grey.
Hearing the whistle of swords, the mage turned around. His eyes blazing with reignited fury.
"Gale Spear! Sky Cutter! Rajin Spiral! Aerius ultra!"
Grey was calling down all his skills in deadly anger as ultra-fast wind spears descended; horizontal deadly sharp wind attacks rushed forward, so did tornadoes of lightning and wind exploded so did a gale of wind burst forth from all around him.
Orion’s eyes widened as he prepared to dodge.
Blood poured from Grey’s mouth as he uttered a word.
"Folding."
The distance between the warrior and the attacks closed in the blink of an eye with the whole attacks he called on bombarding him from all corners.
As the spears were lodging into his body from all corners, the tornadoes were smashed away from him when the horizontal slashes ripped through his side tearing a huge chunk of flesh.
The wind swords from Kaiser pinned him down from all around followed by the immense gale of wind which sent his body smashing into a wall which cracked immensely.
Blood oozed from Orion’s mouth like a fountain and so did it with Grey who collapsed on his knees gasping for breath.
His mana was now just a second from vanishing and with that, he turned towards Salamander.
Understanding the Supreme Magus’ intentions, the fire dragon opened its maws wide and breathed an enormous stream of flames in Orion’s direction.
The warrior was too slow, weak and injured to avoid the stream which smashed into his body. Flames licking him from head to toe as a pained yelp followed by a steady ultra-loud scream from the man which tore through the air.
Those seated in the booths shot to their feet in shock at this sight. Orion was being burnt alive?
The man closest to godhood lost?
The spectators all had their eyes widened in shock at this sight as the flames consumed the man from head to toe that they were unable to see his silhouette and could only hear his screams.
The crackling of flames and Orion’s screams were what was being heard as Salamander along with Kaiser finally vanished due to the fact that the Supreme Magus was unable to sustain them anymore.
His mana pool was totally gone.
.....
There was a long stretch of silence as all eyes were beyond stunned at the sight before them.
Hearing their father scream like an enranged toddler like that, Mada and Gunther stared blankly.
They had long since resolved to help Grey defeat all the leaders of Aetherian faction including their own father hence they had no emotion at the flames that burnt their father as if he was in hell.
But they couldn’t deny it though, a sharp pain crawled through their chest for the fleetest of moment.
Before anybody could open their mouths to say something, the screams died down almost immediately stunning everybody there as the coliseum suddenly descended into deadly silence.
Then,
"Ha...ha...haaa... Hahahahahahaha~!"
It started out as a soft pant before divulging into a full blown laughter coming from the direction of flames.
Then,
Tak. Tak. Step. Another step.
Whoooosh—!
The flames dispersed almost immediately to reveal Orion’s figure. He was burnt beyond recognition.
Blood flowed from every pores in his body further adding to the blackened surface making him look like a caricature of a black and crimson masterpiece.
His clothes were all gone and his features could no longer be seen... he was burnt beyond anybody’s imagination.
But one thing remained, he was still very much alive as he could be seen walking forward in a slight wobble.
His teeth were the only different colour as they shone a pearly white.
Finally coming to a halt, he paused.
"...."
Nobody said a word as they stared at this strange phenomena happening before them.
Nobody was supposed to survive something like that but here the warrior was— standing before them as if nothing.
Except that something did as he looked like a badly burnt toasted bread.
"Ah... Now you are toast."
Just those few words he said, no long dialogue. Just those and almost instantly, a pressure like no other washed down from his body into the coliseum.
The whole air became strangely suffocating as every single man fell to their knees— bleeding from their noses and eyes.
Grey was not left out. He poured out blood after blood from his mouth as even moving his head was impossible talk more of his whole body.
The pressure pressed down on them all making them unable to resist except a select few which were Elder Ron and Leader Ken who were in the North booth at the moment.
They were resisting as best as they could but Beatrix, the dozen guards they had brought and even the students from the Umbrafell academy were all sprawled on the ground bleeding like crazy.
Then,
Crack—! Crack—! Crack—!
Orion’s eyes began glowing. His iris narrowed down to a pair of obsidian slits.
His body physically morphing and changing in front of everybody’s gaze.
With a loud thunderous scream, he curled forward like he was in tremendous pain as black ichor began shooting from his mouth in waves.
Grey raised an eyebrow in pain at this scene.
’Black blood? How?’
Another scream from Orion and then a shockwave that covered the whole coliseum blasted out in all directions further shattering the North and West booths to splinters revealing those that had been seating in it.
The force of the shockwave fling every single person in a fifty metre radius into different directions causing blood to spritz out dying the air crimson.
Thud—! Thud—! Thud—!
Their bodies skipped across the ground hard with loud groans overlapping one another.
Those who had already been injured before sustained more internal injuries while the sinister aura kept pressing down on them.
Including Grey!
"Ugh..."
Everybody groaned in unison as their blurry vision began focusing back on the cause of this situation.
What they all saw, made their hearts thud several beats in a second.
The figure that stood before them was barely recognizable as a man.
His body was wrapped in layers of black scales that gleamed faintly under the light, each one hard and polished like fragments of obsidian fused to his skin.
They spread across his shoulders, chest, and arms in jagged patterns, forming a natural armor that looked both ancient and unbreakable.
Beneath those scales, power coiled in every movement he made, the air around him seeming to tense with quiet danger.
From behind him extended a long black tail, thick at the base and tapering into a cruel point.
The entire length of it was lined with jagged spikes, each one sharp enough to impale flesh with ease.
It swayed slowly, deliberately, like a predator’s weapon waiting for the moment to strike.
His hands ended in deadly pincer-like claws, curved and serrated, capable of snapping shut with crushing force.
Even the slightest flex of his fingers produced a faint metallic scrape, the sound alone enough to set nerves on edge.
But it was his face that carried the most terrifying presence.
His jaws were elongated, lined with rows of razor-sharp fangs that overlapped like the teeth of a deep-sea predator.
When he breathed, those fangs glinted faintly, promising a violent end to anything foolish enough to stand in his path.
And then there were his eyes.
Two endless voids stared out from beneath a shadowed brow.
No color. No reflection. Just pure, consuming blackness, like staring into a bottomless abyss that swallowed light itself.
He did not merely look dangerous.
He looked like something forged from nightmares and power, a creature that had clawed its way out of legend and into the world of the living.
Fenrir on seeing this had his eyeballs widened to their limits as images began flashing through his mind like a slide of some kind.
"No, No, No! Fuck! WE ARE ALL DEAD!"
Alba who was beside him groaned louder as she managed to rise to her knees.
"Wh-What do you mean?"
Tears began gathering in the mage’s eyes as he stared at Orion’s form recalling so many memories.
It wasn’t only him though, even Elder Ron looked like someone who was on the verge of a panic attack.
"Shit! Orion is a beast now? A freaking beast?! Wait! He is the same beast from decades ago!"
Fenrir who shared in the panic too, turned to face Grey who was greatly weakened.
"Orion is a fucking corrupted Primordial ranked beast!" He yelled into the air with all his might.
The raw dread and panic that Fenrir and Elder Ron shared was now distributed across the whole coliseum as even Grey lost all the strength in his limbs at those words.
His head spun in dread.
’Shit. We are all dead.’
