Chapter 853

"..."

The silence hung in the air like a looming sword with everybody staring at Grey on his knees. Head hung low with blood steadily dripping to the ground.

He didn’t move. Didn’t twitch. He just remained motionless with his blood slowly forming a pool before him.

Finral’s silent sobs persisted.

Ray had to calmly walk forward and help the boy to his feet. With a violent push away, Finral snarled at him and stomped away.

He walked very far away from the others and stood at the far back. Infact, he was close to a wall in the coliseum.

Sliding down his back, he curled his legs towards his body. With one final resentful glare in Grey’s direction, he added with a loud shout.

"I hope you die a painful death. I’m sure they suffered before they died. I hope you die the same way. I don’t care whether we lose or win in this battle today. All I care about is Orion finishing you off slowly and painfully so you don’t bring any more sadness to anybody’s family. You hear me?!" He bellowed into the air before slamming his face into his thighs.

Tears welling up in his eyes which flowed to his thighs, soaking them wet.

Everybody stared at his figure for a few moments with conflicted expressions on their faces.

They didn’t know how to react because they know how he felt at the moment.

It wasn’t easy on anyone losing a family member. Brothers were usually close to their sisters and the way with which Finral spoke, it sounded like he was totally close to his sisters.

Now, he didn’t just lose a single sister but the two and in a single day. Couldn’t see them one last time.

Didn’t hear of the news on time. Instead, he heard it in the worst possible place with death standing before them like an observer.

Anybody would break down in such a situation.

But could those watching blame Grey? They weren’t sure yet as they didn’t know of the circumstances that must have led to the girls dying.

But one thing they could see and feel at the moment; was the grief emanating from the Supreme Magus at the moment.

It seemed as if he was also very close to those that had died.

But in his fury, Finral failed to see this.

"Hahahahaha~! What a joke. Supreme Magus eh?" Orion burst into an unhinged laughter as he stared at the kneeling Grey.

"... Do you know? So many things that happened wouldn’t have happened if you didn’t exist. Yes! We seek the ruin and destruction of worlds, planets and probably universes.

But we would have let the inhabitants of these worlds enjoy for some decades more before we struck. But due to an anomaly in the form of Grey Dawn, we had to always hasten our plans and in the process, so many people lose their lives."

Alba clenched her fists in a simmering fury.

"Why are you making yourself sound like the hero here?!"

"Is that pathetic fool over there now the hero?" Orion demanded as he pointed towards Grey.

"... He is just a foolish immature kid with destructive powers that got to his damned brain making him see himself as a god of some sorts; Supreme Magus my foot. You know? The universe sure is dumb as hell."

Orion paused for a moment before snarling.

"It sure gives the most useless and those that are unworthy the best of lives. Imagine giving a kid five powerful affinities and making him so overpowered that he doesn’t even know what to do anymore."

Tearing his gaze away from Grey, he made a quick scan of the coliseum before shouting.

"... Did any of you know the life I lived? This fool here only knows me as upper zodiac three and you all know me as Orion Stormvale. But before that; did you all know I was just a broken human crumbled down by the system. The system that made everybody else seem weak and useless while those like this bastard here get to live the good life!"

"....."

"I would have died a hundred times by now and would not be here even after so many years passed by thanks to the leader, I’m here. He picked me up, gave me power. He gave me the power of a hybrid between a human and a beast and in the process, I had to work for him."

Turning to face Gunther, Orion scowled.

"Yes. I gave birth to you and your sorry excuse of a brother for an experiment. I thought maybe if I reproduced, one of you will inherit my hybrid nature and also grow stronger than me. But no! You both had to inherit my human self."

Turning to glare at Fenrir, Orion added: 𝒇𝒓𝙚𝒆𝔀𝓮𝓫𝒏𝓸𝙫𝓮𝓵.𝓬𝙤𝙢

"I came to this world to conquer it for the leader when I met resistance by the faction leaders that dealt me heavy blows. I had to run away with my tail in between my legs, done my human self and act like I was a victim and when my luck shone on me was when Sir Armin picked me up and groomed me.

Unknowingly, he bestowed me with the martial arts he learnt over the years. He used water magic hence the Waterfall clan inherited that and in the process, our ki was shaped as water."

Orion then chuckled loudly.

"Under his nose, I grew stronger and stronger. And when I was ready, I had to delete him so I can get the reigns of the clan and then the Aetherian faction. I was planted in this world waiting for some certain people to pass on before we attacked."

He paused for a moment as his hateful eyes landed on Grey.

"... But while waiting, we got an urgent summon. All Zodiacs were called for a meeting for the first time in hundreds of years. We were informed about an anomaly. A boy who would grow strong enough to ruin all our plans.

A boy who could potentially eradicate all Otherworlders. Hence we had to options; kill him or bring him into our organisation. But this dumbass chose to refuse our offer. His mother died, he accidentally came to this world and in the process, Vanessa and Millie died."

Tearing his gaze one more time from Grey, he glared directly at Fenrir.

"... Everybody close to him always lose their lives and they will keep on dying until he dies. And I’m here today to make sure he dies. I would have continue living like a king while waiting for when to strike if he hadn’t appeared here causing me to reveal my true form."

Exhaling sharply, Orion narrowed his gaze in Finral’s direction with a smirk crossing his face.

"I will grant his wish; I will make sure I give you a slow and painful death, Grey Dawn."
