Malevolent Warlock: Sin Of Eternity-Chapter 230: The Giant Drake Of Old
"Hmmm"
Inside a luxurious carriage riding down the streets of BloodRock city, an eerie silence filled the air.
Leon had been forced to hand over a weapon that would in the foreseeable future, be used to kill him. There was no worse feeling than handing over something like that to your enemy.
"Sigh!!" Leon let out a breath of air and clenched his fist. He came to BloodRock city to grow in peace, he had no idea that what awaited him was much more troublesome than what he faced in Duan City. At least over there they weren’t targeting him specifically.
"You’re frustrated, I understand, but what will that do? " all of sudden a voice beside Leon posed a question.....however, it didn’t wait for an answer " There’s only one way out of this....get stronger"
Rengoku stared deeply at Leon before stretching his hand forward and pushing a black box into Leon’s hand.
"Hm?" With confusion Leon looked at the box....he could remember the conversation between Rengoku and Divine Kang. This box contained a special pill that was some how related to his family name.
This confused Leon quite a bit because he was of the opinion that his family was quite ordinary in the grand scheme of things.
Noticing Leon’s reaction Rengoku smiled and shook his head. "Do you know what the origins of BloodRock city is?" As if changing the topic, Rengoku asked Leon a question that would puzzle anyone who heard of it.
The origins of BloodRock city? This was a place that was several millennia old. To alot of people this place had no origin it had just always present.
"Not really" Leon wasn’t even from this world, how would he know? Apart from books that is.
"Me nether" Rengoku said causing leon to smile bitterly "but I will tell you a story....the story of how this place became relevant"
Rengoku smiled then continued.
"A long time ago, a Gigantic creature the likes this world had never seen with a build resembling a wrym and with wings spanning several kilometers flew into this region in the dead of the night.
Even though it was all dark, the scene was observed by the locals in the region....this creature flew through the skies letting out roars that shook the soul of the average man frightening the locals until it finally perched itself on distant rocky formation. "
" a beast like this....naturally scared the locals, normally at that time monsterous creatures would raid human settlements....but this one was quite different, despite its size, it didn’t cause any damage whatsoever. In fact its presence stopped the beasts in the surroundings from raiding.....it was like a blessing, as such the locals began to worship this beast"
"They called it all sorts of names and titles, nature spirit, benevolent being....God. they worshipped its mighty power and some even sort to be its apostles"
Rengoku paused and looked Leon in the eye. At this level, most warlocks knew how they came about. Using the essence of creatures...this was goal of these locals that worship the creature. At the depths if the human heart was the pursuit of power.
Unfortunately, the creature refused to hand them its essence stating vehemently that they were not worthy.
"They continued to worship it for several generations though....that is until it finally died. They didn’t even notice when it gave up the ghost...that is.....until its blood came rolling down the mountain and bathed the velly with its essence"
"I see" Leon looked out from the carriage and his eyes landed on the massive rocky structure in the middle of BloodRock city.
It wasn’t hard to put two and two together. In fact, Leon could take it a step futher.

After the blood rolled down several human clans and family’s would have extracted the essence from it and performed the warlock ritual with the help of other beasts.
(Since the ritual demand a live beast ish)
"This was what births the blood clans of BloodRock city" Rengoku sighed. This was the history of their ancestors.
"Hmmmn" Leon went Into contemplation. When he was in the process of breaking into level 2, he had a vision quite similar to this story although not the same.
"That’s the main gist of it.....other things happened but they are not as important" Rengoku added.
"So what does this have to do with this pill? Or me getting stronger?" After a brief pause Leon questioned.
He really needed to know what this pill was since he had exchanged the Grimoire for it. It had to be valuable.
"I was getting to it" Rengoku assured before looking over at Victoria.
He couldn’t hide it, he was a bit Smithened by this junior sister of his....if not he wouldn’t even bother explaining all this and would leave it to the High Arbiter.
After all, these were clan secrets that had been kept for thousands of years....if he said them to a no body he could get in trouble.
"Imagine how powerful the wrym beast must have been to give rise to the blood clans of today....The sheer purity of its bloodline....alot of clans wish for that, in fact they crave it. As such several had tried to replicate the pure bloodline of the creature but to no avail.
Our bloodserpent clan too tried its best to replicate the bloodline....and we met alot of success. We created the purest in the entire region. Unfortunately, there were side effects.
Namely, deformity, early death and to some insanity ,"
"Your Alduwin family was our prime Guinea pig in these experiments to be Frank.....your family was just too lowly. No talent to speak of, nothing, it was quite easy to get them to agree....at least that’s what I was told" Rengoku spoke with a bit of hesitation.
He wasn’t afraid of offending Leon, but this was quite a sensitive topic. He was explaining to Leon how his ancestors were used by the clan as Guinea pigs on a dangerous experiment.
There had to be a bit of gentleness.
"Ahhh?" Leon was a bit taken aback. He was of the impression that the Alduwin name might have a strong backing behind it because of the reactions he had been getting so far.....never in his wildest imagination did he think they would just be Guinea pigs.
"Many of them died, many deformed....but one of your ancestors was able to succeed after going insane that it....at least he remained alive. But for some reason he didn’t pass on the purified bloodline to his descendants so we slowly gave up after a few more generations of testing"
"The family eventually left the main clan to go elsewhere...." Rengoku let out a breath of relief. Such a story was enough to get anyone to tears. His ancestors had truly been treated unfairly.
"Anyway...." Rengoku looked back at Leon and smiled "that thing in your hand is called the Drake Pilll....it is the medicine we used to enhance your ancestors bloodline in the past....if you’re able to harness it before entering the stage of great warlock....you will be unstoppable"
This was beyond risky, and he was actually against it. But the High Arbiter thought Leon could break the circle, it was best to leave them to their own devices.
Maybe within a hundred years, a monsterous being would emerge from the bloodserpent clan.
One with the bloodline of a Drake
