Malevolent Warlock: Sin Of Eternity-Chapter 244: Reason
Griffin Peak, this structure had stood in this exact spot for longer than most structures in the sacred land. It was ancient
"F*ck!!"
With sweat dripping from the side of his face, Leon cursed. They weren’t physically able to fly up Griffins Peak, so he had to climb, but who would have guessed that climbing would be so much harder?
With every inche he made, the toll on his body would be unfathomable. The mountain released a frightening energy that kept on attacking his body as if trying to stop him from climbing.
Leon couldn’t help but curse, he had never felt this sour in his life, and he wasn’t even half way up.
"Maximum effort" he gritted his teeth and continued slowly moving upwards, one painful step after the other.
At the same time.
"Welcome Seniors"
Three voices echoed in unison at the top of Griffin peaks mountain.
"Ahh? The three Robins?" At the edge of the mountain, a man in a grey robe with spikey hair frowned.
"Yes lordship, we are here to escort you to your residences" one of the three individuals whom had welcomed the new arrivals said.
At a quick glance, one would quickly see that they were triplets. What would take a longer glance to understand was the level of power each of them had.
These guys were all at the very peak of level 4 and because of the nature of their relationship, their fight prowess was very close if not equal to a Quasi-level 5 existence.
"Hehe, times really have changed huh?" The supreme leader of the bloodserpent clan stepped forward and said with a gentle shake of his head. He was disappointed.
The three Robins hated the golden Griffin clan for the longest time and would frequently attack their disciples whenever and wherever they saw them. This hatred had lasted for a hundred years with the level 5 existences never being able to catch them.
However, with the advent of the new level 5 existence, it was done in a flash and now they had to serve.
This seemed like a courteous visit to the outside world, but all the clans here had come to resolve all minor issues they had with the golden Griffin clan before they acted against them.
"You are welcome to the Golden Griffin clan old Snake" a voice sounded from behind the three Robins as a man who looked to be in his thirties smirked with chains in his hands.
These chains coiled into space and dissappear into a rune fissure in the air..and connected to chains on the necks of the three Robins.
"Thank you Zoron" the supreme leader smiled back at the man before turning to the three Robins signaling for them to lead the way.
Then they were led to each of the guest houses prepared for them and their disciples. All they had to do now was wait for those able to finish the climb..
"Huuuuuu" blowing out a breath of exhaustion, Leon took his seat on a rock slab pointing out on the side of the mountain.
At this point, he had already taken off his drenched shirt and tossed it to god knows where. Since coming to this world, he had never had such a workout on his muscles.
He sort of felt like an ordinary person again.
"Then there’s this" Leon looked at his arms. To the untrained eyes, nothing was wrong, but Leon’s lumisight Eyes also gave him the ability to see subtle energy changes in the atmosphere or in people. From the mountain climbing he felt a strange pulse of energy drilling into his muscles. He was sort of getting stronger muscle strength just from climbing.
You had to understand that Leon was a level 3 warlock. In terms of physical strength, they were very close to the top of the food chain...increasing it at this junction could only be achieved by a breakthrough and Leon was quite far from that.
So what was this?
He could wrap his head around it completely so he sat in a lotus position and began to investigate his body. And to his surprise, his previous conjectures were correct.
He muscles had indeed grown stronger by several folds giving him a nice boost in power.
"I guess it’s not just a test" Leon mused, the mountain helped in increasing strength also. This was good.
—Tap
A small pebble fell from above and onto Leon’s head causing him to look up with annoyance.
However, what he saw completely changed his mood and expression. Sitting right above him on a slab just like his was someone he knew all too well.
Kang
"Hmm?" As leon stared at him, Kang felt it and looked back at him with confusion. "Oh its you"
Kang commented before turning back to his meditation without hesitation. Leon was insignificant to him.
"Pheww" Leon sighed in relief.
It wasn’t like he feared kang or anything, someone with such a temperament was not someone he wanted to see right now. Who knows? He might just decide to cause him trouble right now.
After all, there was no one near here, who would know? He could just say Leon fell to his death.
Fortunately, Kang didn’t seem interested in him, so he took his valuable time to rest whilst still observing the changes in his body..
Seconds turned to Minutes and minutes turned to hours and soon enough it was night time.
"Hey kid," that was when he heard kangs voice once more, Causing leon to look up with caution.
"You’re climbing with your bare hands?" Kang asked with a look of calm.
"Yes?" Leon answered with confusion, what was his suppose to climb with if not his hands?
"Ahhh, I wonder why the old fool sees you as such a threat, you’re not that bright are you?" Kang mocked Leon then proceeded to point outwards at a side of the mountain.
Leon followed his hand and saw clearly a young woman with tentacles sticking out of her back scaling the mountain with relative ease.
"You body and ability go fly have been restricted, but you have other things in your arsenal. Even if you have to spells to your name, at the very least you can use your Site....if it works in this situation" kang explained while shaking his head.
He respected Bran alot, the old fool always knew what to do in any given situation. But the beef between him and Leon really puzzled kang.

The way he spoke of Leon was the same way a man would speak about his a rival he had hated for years. But this guy was his family, it just didn’t make sense.
"Ohhh, I see" Leon nodded in understanding. "Thank you for you instructions senior"
Leon bowed slightly before returning to his meditation which he continued throughout the night and In the morning—
He got up and continued climbing with his bare hands causing Kang to frown deeply.
