On the riverbanks of the Undergod River, right behind the Undergod Monastery, hundreds of thousands of men could be seen formed into several majestic armies on both sides of the river.

These did not consist solely of warlocks; several other trusted forces were interspersed among the droves of warlocks.

It was a mighty and majestic force whose presence alone filled the air with an irresistible feeling of urgency and pure determination.

"That’s them, stand at attention!" a voice resounded from within one of the many forces, and immediately every single man in the myriad armies stood at attention.

Above the waterfall, seven individual monks in light grey robes could be seen standing, towering over the people.

The Seven Apostles of the Black River.

These were the supreme monks of the Undergod Monastery—the most powerful beings in the Undergod territory.

"For too long, our home has been plagued by criminals. The worst among them have ravaged our lands, gnawing away at the very fabric of our society and turning it into a den of sin and immorality." A bulky old monk with a blue crystal embedded in his forehead stepped forward, his voice resolute.

"This is unacceptable. We, the guardians of the Undergod Monastery, are charged with maintaining peace for all under God. Through us, the will of heaven shall be fulfilled. Today, we gather to carry out that sacred duty. Many will fall, but many more will be saved; this is the will of our Lord. Now, go forth, comrades!

Let us cleanse our territory of all evil!"

"Yeah!!!!" The myriad armies raised their banners in excitement, thrill, and greed. To those loyal to the Undergod Monastery, this was a speech filled with righteousness, and the actions of war were for a noble cause.

This was not the case for the warlocks, though; they were here to plunder the resources gathered for decades by the traitor powers. They would enrich themselves at the expense of the Celestial Palace.

Moments later, the myriad armies spread out, facing their chosen targets. War had come to the Undergod territory, and for the unsuspecting… they would be engulfed in blood and death.

"So those old senile bastards finally grew a pair?" At the top of a massive castle building, a slender female stood with her hands behind her back, looking into the horizon.

A massive army was forming right outside the city; in a few hours, this place would be engulfed in the flames of war.

"Lordship, what do we do? Are the reinforcements waiting somewhere in the canyons?" Right behind her, the noble family presiding over this particular dukedom knelt with their heads on the ground, facing her.

"Reinforcements?" The lady was taken aback before turning to see another figure who looked just like her in facial features laughing.

Her twin brother was always so mischievous. What made them believe that the Celestial Palace would be sending reinforcements to such a lackluster dukedom? They were dreaming!

"Yes, Lordship, the…" the duke raised his head and said with a confused look. His eyes trailed to the twin and saw a look of mockery; he had promised them that reinforcements would be coming very soon.

They had placed all their faith in the people from the Celestial Palace since they were all mages and viewed other races as scum. They wouldn’t just abandon them in their time of need, would they?

"Ah, I think I understand what you mean. The reinforcements, right? They are on their way…" Seeing the duke stuck in his delusions, the lady couldn’t help but say sarcastically before walking over to her brother.

"In fact, they are taking too long. My brother and I will go hurry them up," the lady said, standing next to her brother.

"I…see. Then that would be appreciated, Lord." The duke was still in a state of disarray. "But wait a minute, won’t it be just as effective if one of you goes…?"

Before he could finish his next words, the two siblings disappeared from sight as if they had never been there. That was when it clicked—they were running for their lives too.

Fighting against the warlocks was one thing, but against the Undergod Monastery? They were not stupid.

"Curse you, Celestial Palace!!!" The duke screamed into the air, anger and frustration in his voice. They had doomed his people.

At the same time…

The sound of a pair of disabled feet being dragged through the sand resounded as a giant humanoid creature walked through the gates of a stronghold (think of them as small cities).

"Halt!" As the immobilized body was being dragged into the city, a squad of guards ran forward and formed a defensive circle around the new arrivals.

"What is your business here?" One of the guards stepped forward with his spear pointed at the young man in front of him.

He had crimson armor with strange inscriptions on it, and his hair waved through the air with a white and red luster. However, this wasn’t what was most bothersome about this kid.

It was the 7-foot humanoid monster that stood behind him.

"I’m here to take this stronghold," Leon responded with a calm expression on his face. He didn’t seem the least bit worried about being encircled.

"Hmp? Just you?" The guard sneered. This stronghold wasn’t just any stronghold; it was the rare defense of the Vaclan Dukedom.

They weren’t pushovers and had at least four great mages as protectors. Who did this little brat think he was to say that? Was the giant behind him enough?

"Of course not," Leon shook his head, and in that instant, two other giant figures appeared behind Leon’s Kaga puppet and spread out.

They weren’t as large as the Kaga puppet, nor did they release the same energy as it, but both puppets were every bit as monstrous.

"Shit." Immediately, he saw these two, and the guard’s heart sank. There had been a glimmer of hope for his survival previously, but now?

He couldn’t even fathom what these things were, much less guard against their strength.

"The protectors will avenge us!" The guards gritted their teeth and dashed forward with all their might, one after the other.

One after another, they were taken down by Leon’s puppets.

"Avenge you? I highly doubt it," Leon looked at the bodies on the ground and shook his head, before walking deeper into the stronghold with his giant puppets entow.
