Malevolent Warlock: Sin Of Eternity-Chapter 286: War-3
"Hmm." The blind mage’s face grew gloomy as he stared in the young man’s direction. He couldn’t exactly see him, but he could sense his essence—it was like a glowing beam of unbridled fire burning in a dark void.
"Can you handle the three creatures at full strength?" the blind old man asked the great mage beside him.
"Alone? That will be difficult," the man replied, a hint of fear in his voice.
Due to frequent sneak attacks on the kingdom’s strongholds, they had been directed to keep their powers in check and blend in with the citizens until a dire moment of imminent attack. Unfortunately, these assailants had sniffed them out and attacked individually, forcing them into the open.
To force a great mage out alone was an astounding feat, even for a peak level 3 existence. Now, he had to fight three of such existences at once? That would be very difficult, even at full power.
"Give me five minutes. If I can’t defeat the young man by then, run for your life," the blind mage said, understanding his comrade’s fears. Fighting three on one was bad no matter the power level, so he offered a way out.
"Five... I can do five," the mage beside him said after rubbing his chin worriedly.
He trusted Blind Quan. The old man had been a great mage since he was a kid. Though his progression was slow, he was a middle-stage great mage. If anyone could turn this fight around, it was probably him.
"Good." The blind mage nodded and used his cane to point upwards, signaling they would fight in the sky.
Of course, Leon agreed and slowly flew into the air, his gaze calm as the old mage joined him.
"Okay, let’s do this," the mage left behind took a deep breath and sighed.
"Elemental Embodiment: Metaloscyn."
His body was soon engulfed in a metallic glow, a clear sign he was about to go all out.
In response, Leon’s three puppets spread out, forming a triangular formation, their dark, lifeless eyes fixed on their target.
Leon had created the Kaga puppet for this very purpose—to act as an unfeeling killing machine, made to achieve any objective no matter the cost. Now, he had added two more to his team, which he named the Raga and Yaga puppets.
These were collected during his time clearing the riverbanks, but they served the same purpose: to kill.

They flew forward one after the other, and in a split second, they laid siege to a being one realm above them, with that very intention in mind.
…
"What are those things?" the blind old man asked Leon as he sensed the battle erupting below.
"Them? They’re nothing," Leon said with a smirk as he glanced at the ground. It hadn’t even been 30 seconds, and his puppets were already dominating a level 4 great mage. It was impressive.
"Hmm, arrogant," the blind old man sneered. To call those monstrosities "nothing" was extremely arrogant—even for him, their owner. What, then, would he call the level 4 great mage who was losing to them?
"Hehe, it doesn’t really matter... I do want to know something, though. Are you really blind?" Leon dismissed the comment and asked.
Being blind at the great warlock stage seemed more like a choice. There were countless ways to restore sight, especially with elemental entities that could easily heal such a defect... unless he was born with it.
"I wonder which of us is truly blind," the blind mage scoffed. Any sane person could see his lack of sight. Was this young man mocking him? If so, he wasn’t just arrogant—he was stupid.
This old man had been blind since birth, but it had shaped him into who he was today. Unlike others’ assumptions, this "defect" was what pushed him this far. He could feel essence energy in every nook and cranny of the city below. He even knew how Leon looked.
His lack of sight was not a limitation.
"Oh, this is good. I finally get to try that out." Leon smirked, discarding the insult.
Suddenly, every bit of essence energy disappeared, plunging the area into darkness. This jolted the old mage’s senses, and he glanced around hurriedly.
He hadn’t felt so naked and alone in years—it was like being trapped in a void.
"I can’t believe it... This works on blind people too?" Leon’s voice echoed in the nothingness. The mage couldn’t even sense his opponent anymore.
This was bad.
What was this?
He couldn’t comprehend what was happening... but it only got worse. As he tried to understand, he felt a presence in the void.
This wasn’t good. The presence was terrifying, like a serpent coiling around his body. Worse, it felt like a threat to his very existence.
He couldn’t see it, but a giant serpent with wings had coiled around him.
"Elemental Embodiment: Windoblaz!"
Panicked, the blind mage summoned his Elemental Embodiment, immediately restoring his eyes. But what he saw was far worse than what he had felt before.
"Drag..." he stammered, drawing his sword and swinging wildly in every direction.

"Hehe, what a funny performance." Leon smirked as he watched a level 4 great warlock fight against nothing in midair.
That’s right—even now, the mage was stuck in an illusion.
"Who would’ve thought this would work on a blind person?" Leon smiled.
The Drake bloodline had affected his Lumisight eyes, strengthening them. Unfortunately, it also removed his disguise, meaning he could no longer impersonate a mage.
"Ahhh." After a moment’s contemplation, Leon turned to the other side of the battlefield, noticing Liana finishing off her opponents and heading toward Arian and Ember, who had chased down the other young mage.
"Well, that’s that." Leon smiled and pulled out a glowing white orb.
Every level 4 great warlock had either been killed or disgraced. The second phase was ready.
With a wave of his hand, two massive gates appeared on opposite sides of the city, and from within, an army of thousands of men poured in.
This army not only consisted of warlocks though, among them were the myriad gangs of the undergod river who had helped Leon in clearing out the river banks.
For their loyalty, Leon had prepared another prey for them, one much fatter in terms of riches than the other river gangs.
