"Hehe, I was lucky" Amir smiled coyly, their family had produced quite a two blazing talents. Dispite being crippled, Amir was able to not only surpass his limits, he had managed to become a great mage.

Of course, this was due to Sky palaces influence and resources.

"Luck has nothing to do with it, you have always been a talent" beside Arian, Leon added with a smile.

He had seen this guy only once, and even then he knew that he was no less talented than Arian, but unlike her he didn’t seem interested in adventure. He was a seeker of knowledge.

"Hmm, I wasn’t talking to you" Amir glanced at Leon casually then he looked back at Arian and sighed.

He did not like Leon one bit, Carlson and him got aquantied by chance and they had looked into Leon’s activities together in eldoria, as such he knew what Leon was about.

This kid whom his sister brought home those years ago had no moral compass and was just straight up evil. He wanted nothing more than to just take her away here and now.

"Ahh, I see." Leon sat back into his chair and picked up a rice ball from the table.

The dislike from Amir was normal, after all his sister was following Leon around like a servant even without him making things ’right’ he didn’t need to be rude about it though.

That was totally uncalled for,

"Sigh, I can get you the opportunity to enter sky palace, you’ll have to compete in the sky festival a few days from now but I’m sure you’ll excel, From there it’s but a matter of which strings I can pull" Amir seeing Leon not take the bait sighed and spoke.

He didn’t really have the power to control this situation since in fact Carlson was the one who had real power in their group. He was the hier of the hall of magic and anything he says goes.

—crack….boom!!

As he explained the situation to Leon and the rest, a door down the m hallway was broken down and several men rushed in and ransacked the place looking for Leon.

"He’s that rich?" The bulky man walked down the hall way as his men systematically broke into the various rooms around.

The top floor of the inn was the most expensive in the entire street, it costed around 40 gold coins a day, this was the chosen accommodation of that ?

That was insane, how could a warlock piece of shit afford such luxury? It pissed him off more than it made him happy, after all in a few seconds all this wealth would be his.

But he still couldn’t help but feel angry.

"Hm!!" Stopping abruptly before a door at the end of the hall, the short bulkly man smiled then took a step back.

"Break down this door!!" He commanded

And in a second two men appeared before him and used their feet to fall the door to the ground in a split second.

—boom

As the door hit the ground a gust of saw dust filled the air and from within that dust, the man walked through and stood in the middle of the room.

"Welcome to Sky city scum " he smiled mockingly as he walked in with a dignified pose knowing full well that all of Leon’s treasures and gold would now be his.

They would beg and plead but he would not listen to them, as he was superior to all warlock scum.

"Hm?" But after standing there for a few seconds, he heard no cries or begging only a very quiet room filled with crickets.

Slowly he opened his left eye and took a peek at the room only to see a variety of puzzled faces. Some were genuinely confused as to what was going on here meanwhile others knew but just didn’t seem to care….

Especially that filthy warlock.

"What are you looking at? Get down on your knees!!" He rushed forward and grabbed Leon by the shoulder attempting to drag him to the ground.

He was looking at him as if he were a little piece of shit who didn’t know what he was doing. In all his life he had never met such an arrogant warlock.

However, no matter how hard he pulled Leon didn’t seem to budge. It was like dragging an ox with a piece of cloth.

"This…" he was momentarily shocked, but soon his gaze scanned the room noticing everyone seated around looking at him like he was stupid…..

This infuriated him the more, who did they think they were, he was the leader of the people’s resistance against evil movement, who didn’t fear him in the city?

Even the biggest tycoons feared him and his men descending on their various businesses. Who did these people think they were?

Just as he was about to flare up once again, he set his eyes on a crippled individual on wheelchair sitting right at the corner of his eye.

His demeanor wasn’t special nor did the look on his face look scary, but the moment his gaze fell upon this young man his anger dropped from a 100 to 0 in a split second.

"That…." He couldn’t help but stutter, this guy had sky palaces uniform on.

What was going on here?

"Filthy nobody" Amir sneered and with his left hand he sent out a stream of ethereal energy which swiftly wrapped around the him and sent him flying to the wall in an instant.

"Boss!!" His two accomplices rushed forward with their spares and pointed it directly at Amirs head as a matter of instinct.

"Retards!!" But just as they did so, their spears snapped in two and they both rose into the air like a feathers.

"You dare point your weapons at sky palace officials? Do you love deaths embrace so much?" Amir’s eyes shot with a dark shadow stared up at the two with murder intent in his eyes.

These extreme groups had been on a rise in the territory for years now, and honestly they were slowly becoming a problem….but never had any of them ever pointed a weapon a sky palace officials.

This could get them and all who supported them wiped out. It didn’t matter how powerful and influencial they were, Sky palace was king.
