55 The Anger Of The Disgraced Knight

His birth name was Amir finlay, and yes, Arian was his sister by blood.

1

Or one could say she was his step sister. Amir and Arian grew up togather thinking they had the same mother and father. However one fateful day their mother snapped and revealed that Amir was her love child with some random one night stand.

This made her husband, Arian's father break down and later in a fit of rage he broke both of Amir's legs. As if trying to send a message. Of course, his actions sowed a seed of hate in the heart of everyone in the family, so when they were old enough, they all moved out.

Arian and Amir couldn't stand both parents. But no matter how prideful Arian was, she was still bound by a sense of duty in her heart, so when she heard that her mother had been taken by the Dalriss family....she offered herself up to pay the dept.

Amir wasn't so dutiful and didn't care for what happened to his own mother. As such him and Arian drifted apart.

But that didn't mean he didn't care about his sister.....After all, they once relied on each other for support in a toxic family environment.

"Let me prepare something" Amir rolled his wheelchair to a side of his workable and began plucking some random herbs he had placed under the sun.

He began crushing these herbs and soon enough it formed a mushy paste that Amir proceeded to grab with his bear hands and roll back to Leon.

"Take a whiff of this" Amir squeezed the juicies from the paste onto Leon's pinky finger and...

—krrrr

A weak screech emitted in the room and the white snake unfurled from Leon's pinky and fell to the onto the workbench exhausted.

"Bring the fruit" Amir extended his hand forward and collected the crystal fruit from Leon.

Leon had gotten this fruit when he "mistakenly" attacked killian ontop the giant serpent under the heaven devourer mountain range.

He had several other mysterious items like it, but selling them without knowing what they were was not ideal. For example, if he had sold the fruit he might have not been able to save the white snake.

"Flame work: steel cutter"

Amir muttered under his breath and from his finger, a hot blaze slowly formed. It was like his finger hand become some sort of welding equipment.

1

—ffffff

He slowly hovered his flaming finger over the side of the fruit causing it to slowly melt and the atmosphere of the room to be filled with a pleasant smell.

"That's" Leon couldn't help but enjoy this change. But not as much as the white snake.

Even though it was weak and feeble it squirmed towards the fruit and with a leap forward it rushed through the liquefied area of the fruit and stopped in it's center.

"Hmm, good just give it time now. It'll either evolve or get better, either way it's a win for you. Just make such it stays in a region with sufficient mana energy." Amir picked up the fruit and handed it to Leon.

The snake was swimming inside the crystal fruit and absorbing its essence, if this would lead to it evolving then....leon had an idea.

Creatures involve in the direction of not only the treasure they consume but the energy congregated around the area its evolves in.

2

Leon couldn't think of a better place than Badur's gates. Inside the gate there was a massive congregation of negative energy. If it stayed there, it could evolve in the direction of a negative energy welding beast.

1

Just the thought of it sent a wave of thrill into Leon's body.

While Leon was focusing on the snake in his hand Amir called Arian to the side to have a talk. This didn't really bother Leon. After all, they knew each other from before him.

He was more concerned about his next steps....

,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

"Wait really? That happened not too long ago?." Leon looked at Arian and nodded his head.

Arian had explained to him that Amir was her step brother. This shocked him for a minute, but it wasn't that big of a deal so he put it at the back of his mind. What worried him was that Amir gave her some worrying news.

Apparently, her father somehow found out that her mother's soul had been destroyed so he entered the Dalriss estate by himself and kill countless numbers of Dalriss family members.

It was a matter that shook the entire city, The Disgraced knight carved a straight line into the household of his former masters and left behind a trail of bodies. Naturally, he was eventually jointly attacked by the old monsters of the Dalriss household...but he managed to escape with his life.

( he's that powerful?)

Leon had heard the story of the disgraced knight and thought it was a pitiful story, but he had no idea that the so called disgraced knight was an absolute power house.

"Do you care to find him?" with his hand on his chin Leon asked.

The relationship between Arians father and his children was very sour so, he didn't understand why she was telling him all this.

Leon could see an opportunity though, Someone that could cut his way into a powerful noble family like the Dalriss family was definitely someone to have on your side.

"Not particularly, just thought you should know." Arian shurrged nonechalantly.

1

One thing Leon knew, was that, if he could make use of the Finlay family appropriately, his plans wouldn't seem so far fetched.

A few hours later

Leon, gunta and Arian bid Amir farewell and made their way out of the house.

"Boss, whats next?" Gunta asked Leon.

"There's no need to dwell, it's time to join a power" Leon said confidently.

He asked Amir about the faceless mercenary company and their activities in the city and was pleased to learn that Amir had a connection to someone from the group.

Of course, even he didn't know the person's identity, but he knew how and where to find him, and gave this information to Leon as a thank you for saving his sister.
