Malevolent Warlock: Sin Of Eternity-Chapter 9: Accusation?
Chapter 9: Accusation?
"You know we are family, and family should always share. It wouldn't make sense if you had something and your little sister has nothing..."
Caroline tried to guilt-trip Leon into sharing the healing spell with her. She had some training in medicine, but a healing spell would be a game-changer for her.
"Oh? What if I don't want to share?"
Leon asked Phoebe with a tinge of Mockery. She was only just now realizing that Leon was her senior brother? She forgot all the times she had treated the previous Leon poorly? Now she wanted him to share? That was absolutely stupid of her!!
"Don't be stubborn. You know my boyfriend, Byand, is part of the guards. If I let them know you stole from an elder, they will punish you."
Byand wasn't really her boyfriend but, Phoebe said this, knowing that Byand could be used as a form of pressure to get what she wanted. She was determined to obtain the healing spell by any means necessary. It was a unique spell that could elevate their family's status. It couldn't be left with a former crippled fool.
"You're threatening me?"
Leon smiled widely, it was a normal smile but for some reason it felt like it held a bulk load malicious intent. She immediately felt startled. Never had she felt like this before.
"It's not a threat Leon, It's merely a warning"
From the door of the cabin, Caroline walked in and said. Behind her were a group of guards in leather armor.
"Ah? I see"
Leon looked on and shook his head, this talk, he knew it was from Caroline if not phoebe wouldn't dare ask him for something like that. It was Caroline's wish.
"Come with us."
Two guards approached Leon, and without waiting for his response, they grabbed him by the arms and lifted him. His scrawny body made it difficult to struggle.
"Hey, let go of him!"
Leon's father who was seated randomly at the side, stood up and prepared to stop the guards. However, two large figures blocked him and held both of his hands.
It was Byand's senior brother and Byand himself, they were here to ensure that no one interfered.
The guards carrying Leon brought him to the center of the cabin and stopped there.
"Is that the boy?"
From the cabin they had just come out from, an elderly and majestic man walked out. He had long gray hair and a mustache. His mere presence caued a stir in the cabinThis man was not ordinary, He was the fourth elder of the clan.
"Yes, Elder."
Caroline bowed toward him. She had gone to call him, knowing that Leon would not willingly part with the spell. Her plan was to force him to do so by involving the elder. With the elder's authority, the spell could be removed from Leon's possession, and he would be punished.
"Much more skinny than I imagined."
The elder walked around Leon, observing him. Leon still had a skinny build and some paleness in his skin. He was nothing special in all honesty.
"Tell me, where is this healing spell from?"
The elder tilted his head and asked Leon, but Leon remained silent, occasionally looking out the window.
"Ah, are you shy? Let go of him, boys. Leon is our friend, and I'm sure he will cooperate."
The elder ordered the guards, he didn't want to approach this matter carelessly. They knew what they were doing was wrong. Byand had described how Leon used the healing spell earlier, and the elder understood that it was not from anyone in the Blood Serpent Warlock clan. In the whole clan, there were only two healing spells, and he knew them both.
The boy must have picked it up from another Warlock clan during their escape. This was a good thing though, as a new healing spell meant a new opportunity to gain a better position in the clan.
"I understand how you must feel, kid. It's not your fault that your family is filled with so much competition and hate. Tell you what, I can help you punish those who offended you, but you must show me the healing spell..."
The fourth elder spoke aloud, causing Caroline and Phoebe to be momentarily shocked. Did they hear that right? The fourth elder was willing to throw them under the bus to get the spell?
"Hehe, I can make you powerful and influential in the clan. You want the power to make women like her grovel? I can do that. You want luxury? I can provide that. All you have to do is hand it over and pledge to be my underling."
The fourth elder made so many promises that even the people in the room who had nothing to do with it felt envious. They wished they had found a spell on the road like Leon had, as it would allow them to curry favor with the fourth elder.
"Really? So, if I asked you to throw both of them off board, would you do it?"
Leon asked, looking at Caroline and Phoebe mockingly.
"Haha, why not? Byand, throw the wh*re off the train for being such a bad stepmother."
The fourth elder commanded Byand, and immediately Byand sprang into action, grabbing Caroline. To them, both Caroline and Phoebe were not as important as the spell.
"What the hell? You can't do this!"
Caroline struggled, but Byand was too strong. Even Phoebe tried to stop Byand but failed.
"Okay, you can stop. I don't want to kill them yet."
Chuckling, Leon shook his head and asked Byand to stop. He just wanted to have a good laugh, as he knew the fourth elder would throw them under the bus for the sake of profit.
"Okay, Byand, drop her."
The fourth elder commanded Byand to let Caroline go. He then looked back at Leon and smiled. This dark sense of humour fitted the fourth elder's personality, he had begun to like Leon.
"Okay, Leon, tell me, do we have a deal?"
The elder looked at Leon and waited for his answer, as they attempted to strike a deal. Leon decided to play along.
"Why not? Just give me a moment."
Leon took a few steps back, but suddenly, he stopped and grabbed a pole in the middle of the cabin.
"Hm?"
Seeing Leon's strange action, the elder frowned, unable to predict what would happen next.
—Pheeeeee, Boommmnm!!!!!!!!!!!!
A massive light shone, and in an instant, the cabin was sliced in half and torn from the main body of the World Traversing Serpent.
