Chapter 687: Chapter 687: He’s Like a Thief_1

The female housekeeper knew Ji Yunhuan was upstairs, so she didn’t dare mention it. She just focused on taking care of Su Molang.

Ji Yunhuan was still in Qi Cheng’s arms when the knocking at the door woke her up. She opened her eyes and saw the handsome face next to her, unable to help but recall the passion of last night. She must have been drunk; otherwise, how could she not have refused Qi Cheng?

Remembering that she had willingly thrown herself at him and had been slept with, Ji Yunhuan felt somewhat taken advantage of.

Her body had already been cleaned. She sat up, wanting to get out of bed. Qi Cheng woke up as well. He reached out and grabbed her arm, pulling her back. Ji Yunhuan fell into his embrace, smelling his familiar scent. She looked at Qi Cheng and reminded him, "Someone is knocking at the door."

"I’ll get it." Understanding that she was tired from last night, Qi Cheng naturally took on the task.

Qi Cheng had already changed their pajamas before going to bed.

He got out of bed and walked directly to the door. Opening the heavy door, he saw Assistant Gao standing there, speaking softly, "Mr. Su is here."

Qi Cheng’s face immediately stiffened.

Assistant Gao felt somewhat resentful of himself, wishing he didn’t have to deliver the message.

But there are some things in this world that you just can’t avoid.

Qi Cheng whispered, "I know, I’ll be right down."

Ji Yunhuan, sitting on the bed and rubbing her head, hadn’t had enough sleep and felt very uncomfortable.

Qi Cheng had already returned. He said to Ji Yunhuan, "You go back to sleep for a while. I’ll have someone take you home when you wake up."

"Oh." She looked at him, "You’re going out so early?"

"We have a guest at home." Qi Cheng didn’t want to say much more, and he quickly went to the dressing room to change his clothes.

His demeanor was somewhat indifferent. From his attitude, Ji Yunhuan seemed to sense something.

When Qi Cheng came out, Ji Yunhuan wanted to speak with him, but he left the room directly, not giving her a chance to talk. He closed the door behind him. Ji Yunhuan watched his back and couldn’t help but let out a bitter laugh. She got out of bed and looked at her pajamas—it must have been Qi Cheng who had changed them for her.

She went to the dressing room to find some clothes and changed. Standing by the window, she happened to see Qi Cheng and Su Molang leaving together.

She had guessed right after all; Qi Cheng behaved that way only when Su Molang was here.

Even though they had been intimate just last night, now he seemed to have forgotten everything.

He wasn’t even willing to give her much tenderness and hurriedly left.

He must have been anxious to take Su Molang away, afraid that Su Molang would find out about the two of them being together last night, right?

This kind of Qi Cheng...

Ji Yunhuan didn’t even know what to say about him.

Even if he said he couldn’t bear to leave her, she could feel that Qi Cheng cared more about Su Molang than her.

His guilty demeanor looked extremely ridiculous.

Who was Su Molang?

Just a man who used to like her!

Qi Cheng was the one who had been married and had children, yet he acted as if he were the thief.

In front of others, even his good brother Bai Liyan, Qi Cheng would never behave this way. But the fact that Su Molang had come back to life hit him too hard.

The female housekeeper came to look for Ji Yunhuan. Seeing her standing by the window in a daze, she spoke up, "Ms. Ji."

Ji Yunhuan turned around to look at the housekeeper. Her mood was bad, so her gaze was indifferent.

The housekeeper said, "Breakfast is ready."

Ji Yunhuan walked out in her high heels, "I don’t need breakfast. The kids must have been worried since I didn’t come home last night."

Qi Cheng was like that; staying here for breakfast would just suffocate her.

He could be loyal and affectionate to others, yet be cold and heartless towards her.

The housekeeper could see that Ji Yunhuan was emotional. As a servant, she couldn’t say much about this sort of matter, so she just saw Ji Yunhuan out, "Take care."

Ji Yunhuan felt incredibly bitter all the way home from the Qi Family’s house.

When the car stopped at the door, Ji Yunhuan got out and saw Luo Sha sweeping the snow in the yard. The snow she swept was piled up into a snowman.

Since Luo Sha’s parents were still in custody, Ji Yunhuan had let her stay at their house after she was discharged from the hospital. After all, she was just a little girl with nowhere to go after leaving her parents. Ji Yunhuan wasn’t comfortable letting her live alone.

Hearing the sound, Luo Sha looked up, smiled at Ji Yunhuan, and said, "Auntie."

Ji Yunhuan felt a bit distressed being called "Auntie" at such a young age, but knowing she was Qi Mo’s elder, she had to accept it reluctantly.

"What are you doing?" Ji Yunhuan asked, curious.

Luo Sha explained, "Since it snowed, I cleared the yard a bit."

"It will melt anyway. Don’t bother. It’s so cold; don’t catch a chill out here." Luo Sha wasn’t a maid, and Ji Yunhuan didn’t want her doing these things.

Luo Sha smiled, "It’s okay. I think it’s fun. When I was at home, my parents would always make me study. If they saw me playing in the snow, they would definitely hit me."

Ji Yunhuan knew her childhood wasn’t as happy as others, perhaps even devoid of a childhood. "That’s all in the past. Don’t think about it all the time. Have you had breakfast?"

"Not yet." Luo Sha followed Ji Yunhuan into the house, "Ruirui and Yangyang are still sleeping!"

"I’ll go check on them."

"They wanted to see you since you didn’t come home last night. I called you, but you didn’t answer. They stayed up late waiting, so they haven’t woken up yet."

Ji Yunhuan said, "Thank you. Those two little ones are hard to handle."

Even their father Qi Cheng could get so mad he’d cough up blood because of them. How could Luo Sha handle them after only two days?

Luo Sha smiled, "I find them adorable. I like them a lot."

Ji Yunhuan smiled and went upstairs. As expected, both little ones were still in bed. Ruirui was still sleeping in all sorts of postures, while Yangyang slept neatly. Possibly because Ruirui always caused trouble, Yangyang had one small arm around Ruirui.

Ji Yunhuan looked at her two sons and then sat by the bed.

Just then, Ruirui woke up. Seeing Ji Yunhuan, he felt very wronged and crawled over, "Mom!"

His face scrunched up, almost crying.

He had waited a long time for Ji Yunhuan last night, thinking she might take Yangyang away and ignore him as she had before! 𝐟𝗿𝐞𝚎𝚠𝐞𝚋𝕟𝐨𝚟𝐞𝕝.𝕔𝕠𝚖

Ji Yunhuan felt her heart ache as she held him in her arms, "Are you going to cry, or what?"

"Ugh..." Ruirui leaned in her embrace, crying grievously.

The crying woke up Yangyang. Yangyang rubbed his eyes and looked at Ji Yunhuan, "Where did you go? You’re only back now?"

There were still some snowflakes on Ji Yunhuan. Ruirui reached out, wanting to pick them off. He tried several times, but the snow melted before he could.

"Mom." He reminded Ji Yunhuan.
