Zayn heaved a deep breath, his hands landed on Ezekiel’s hands and then he gently removed his hands from his collar.

"There’s nothing that I’m hiding from anyone and besides, why are you asking me, I thought you and Phoebe had the best relationship and we’re the perfect couple, so what’s the use of asking me, ask her instead, okay," he stated and then he removed his hands from his collar moving away.

Ezekiel swear he was close to giving Zayn a treatment that would make him regret his doing but for the situation, he needed Zayn to be treated badly not just by him but also by Laurence.

He came to the party not just to get rid of Zayn and it would be done by Ezekiel but he also wanted Laurence to regret Zayn’s presence and his being in Phoebe’s life.

That was what he wanted, just to push Phoebe from the people she was close to and then he was going to strip her and her family from everything they had.

It was good that Prudence had gone, it just made way for him.

He knew that Prudence had never trusted him and never liked him, and neither had he, besides, remembering her death was like a great relief to him.

When he discovered that Prudence was dead from the news, he always had thoughts of kissing the head and the hands of the person who drove the trailer that collided with the car she was driving.

He was delighted with it and now, he had the chance of taking from the Lane Marvel’s wealth.

The father and Prudence, it was like life was giving him chances and providing him with the chances that he didn’t even ask for.

Wow, he couldn’t be proud of how life was working in his favour but for now, what he was seeing in front of him, he knew that he couldn’t lose his chance.

Taking Phoebe was just one part and dealing with him was another part, he walked towards him before Zayn could enter the car and then he gave him a blow on the face.

"Who are you trying to place smart with," Ezekiel argued punching Zayn in the face but Zayn wasn’t retaliating, he was expecting the boy to retaliate but he wasn’t doing a thing.

What was wrong with him?

Soon enough the people around them began to gather because Ezekiel was punching him he began to bleed but despite the fact, Zayn didn’t respond.

The girls who watched out of shock were expecting Zayn to do his own back but still after the punches, he stayed like a coward.

Not minutes later, they began to hear the siren of the policemen, Ezekiel stopped as the policemen walked up to him with a handcuff.

"Sir, you’re under arrest for assaulting Zayn De Vera," Ezekiel was shocked, but then as his gaze turned to see Zayn’s face, it was evident of his actions and then he saw the corner of Zayn’s lips lift in a smirk.

" See you soon," Ezekiel frowned wondering what he meant by his words, and before he could do any other thing, he was handcuffed, and taken by the policemen into the car.

As the car left, the gaze of Zayn was clearly evident he was up to some mischief staring into the eyes of the departing Ezekiel.

Brooklyn and his mother were about to attend to him and the people began to disperse after the issue was resolved, but before his mother could reach him, he entered his car and then he called Phoebe but the realization hit him that Phoebe’s phone was at the hall.

He screeched in a fit of anger hitting his hand on the wheel of the car.

Where could Phoebe be?

He thought for a while about what must have happened, they just had a fight and he was sure Phoebe was more than that, she couldn’t just hide herself, she was smart and mature, someone who knew what her actions must affect the people around her.

He knew that something must have happened which caused her disappearance.

He parked his car for a while in thought about what he was going to do.

While in thought, he received a text from one of the security guards at the event hall who claimed Phoebe’s last footage on the CCTV was towards the lavatory. 𝕗𝗿𝕖𝐞𝐰𝗲𝕓𝐧𝕠𝕧𝗲𝐥.𝚌𝐨𝚖

Could it be possible that something must have happened and he doesn’t know about it?

He knew that if he wanted to gain information, he could gain it from other means and that was what he was doing but still, he got the same answer.

His mother knocked on the door as he lowered the window pressing the button, a straight face on his.

"Mother, could we do this another time?" He said in a stern voice.

"But son you’re bleeding."

He sniffed his nose touching the painful area as a groan left his lips.

"Don’t worry about this, I’ll treat it."

"But-"

"Mum, just let us go, he’s going to treat himself," Brooklyn interfered holding her mother’s arm, it took a while for his mother to understand and after a while, she finally agreed.

"Okay," she said as she walked away with Brooklyn.

"Make sure that boy doesn’t come back," his mother instructed the security men around.

He scrolled through his phone and randomly his contact landed on Enim.

For some reason he felt that Enim could help to some extent, he couldn’t understand his reason but he felt Enim must be someone that was going to be the best option to contact at the time.

He took a wipe from the box which was kept in the car storage pad and then he opened the scroll concealing the mirror in front of him attending to his injuries.

Silently waiting for Enim to answer his call, he cleaned the spot, painfully groaning.

"Are you going to release Ezekiel to me? Is good that you asked your men to take him, I know what happened, all I need is Ezekiel, okay? " Enim questioned curtly waiting for an answer which placed a frown on his face.

How the hell did it?

"You don’t need to think about how it happened, what I want from you is to do your thing and as me, I’m going to do what I want to do, okay?" Zayn was stunned, first of all, how did she know what he was about to ask?

Was she some kind of witch?

Just when he remembered that he had to question Phoebe, the phone call ended.

And then he looked at the phone speechless of what he was going to say, for the first time in his life he was colliding with a mischievous woman and a woman who was unable to be understood, full of mysteries.

Enim stared at the files that were in her hand, she had an ear pod placed in her ear as her hands flipped through the pages of the file that were in her hand.

Just like what she had promised Phoebe that she was going to do, she received every detailed information about Ezekiel and Zayn, scrolling through the file of Zayn she found out that Zayn had been transferred to three universities in different countries and the reason for his transfer was something not expected.

Violence.

That was something that she had not expected of Zayn even if she felt that she couldn’t trust him that much but then she couldn’t help but be stunned by what she was reading.

He got transferred from one school to another and the first one had to be about the involvement of a girlfriend.

He was flirting with another guy’s girlfriend and soon enough, the boyfriend found out that Zayn was getting closer to his girlfriend and then he severely hit Zayn Zayn didn’t retaliate but later, the next day, the boy was discovered plummeted on his bed.

He lay on his bed paralyzed like he was on the verge of death, the people couldn’t understand the means of how it had happened, just like the way that everyone had slept was the same way he slept.

It was even rumored that an offended ghost attacked the guy and it was no lie, but Zayn was this ghost that got the guy severely punished.

When his father found out what had happened, he was transferred to another school.

The second transfer was about a thing that had to do with a woman but not mostly, just that this case was one that which he was seduced by a woman and with the thoughts that the hotel that he was heading to make with that woman was one of the best hotel but then he ended up at a nightmare while having s*x with the girl.

For that one, Enim couldn’t help but laugh at the situation because while they were having their activity in a room, they had trespassed the boundaries of the hotel and forcefully entered the place without booking the room.

It seems Zayn had plans on doing it the next day but as he was doing his activity, the owner of the room occupied the place and he was caught with the girl.

For trespassing and illegally entering the place, he was about arrested but then his father had to interfere with the matter of the police and then he was transferred to another place.

Enim couldn’t believe the number of crimes Zayn had committed while he was a young adult, she couldn’t believe the number of crimes that Zayn had committed in his young age and now, he’s behaving maturely and like a well-behaved guy.

He can be full of surprises.

When she looked at his identity files and the records, she found nothing unusual, just for now, she could say that he was on her good list.
