Married to my nemesis-Chapter 186: Movement
Walking in a hasten movement, she was scared to face the next event, she didn’t want to think of something that could hurt her heart just like before but just as her hand was about to lay on the knob of the door.
"Abi," Mina called her.
Without any choice, Abi took a stop, what was the use of running away, it was going to make her look weak but the truth was that just those words of her made her fall to the ground and become a coward.
She couldn’t bare to face the reality Mina was about to proclaim.
Just as she stayed there, she didn’t turned her body to face her, lowering her head her entire being was quivering in expectation.
Mina smirked and then she clicked the heels of her shoes walking towards her she laid a hand on Abi’s shoulder and then turned her around.
Abi’s head was still lowered.
"Why are you looking down? Common, raise your heart, I want to see you when we speak."
She didn’t oblige to her words so out of annoyance Mina raised her chin gently.
"Abi," she growled as her head was raised.
"When you were young you had this unruly attitude, and still with that, I never thought that you were going to depart from this behaviour. Is this the way you want to uphold your father’s dignity? Common, I want to hear, you say you want to own your father’s company but you behave manly. Listen dear, look at your brother—" she said and then she gently shifted her head towards Sebastian’s seat.
"Your brother is there bleeding because of the pain you’ve laid upon him. Common tell me, is this the way you want to behave, a tomboy? Dear I wouldn’t scold you but you have to know, if you wouldn’t take this rough and wild attitude of yours then I think you have to look for a means, a daughter doesn’t behave in this way," she said and then she removed her hand.
"You don’t know me," Abi finally spoke with vile eyes, she was awaken and definitely hurt.
"Abi, I don’t know you?" She jested as she formed a devilish smile.
"Dear, your mother left this place because you were a lot of troublesome person, I’m sure that’s why your mother left because—" Mina growled in pain receiving a smack on her face .
She clenched her jaw, her eyes widened in anger and then she turned back to Abi infuriated but just like her, Abi’s demon woke as she pointed a hand at her.
"I swear, the next time you say that about my mother—"
"Then what are you going to do, slap me again?"
Abi didn’t say a thing as she lowered her hand, no matter what she tried to do there was no means of threatening her after she had taken her father’s hand.
Abi smiled and then she turned around to leave but just at the door, was her father, he looked at her with a disappointed face.
"Fath—" before she could speak further, he touched the button on his seat to take him away, Abi bit her lip in anger, she was really hurt but everything, she turned to Mina seeing she had accomplished what she wanted to gain.
She angrily stomped out of the room.
Moving out of the mansion, the atmosphere of the cold breeze of the dark atmosphere clustered the environment she was.
It was chilling cold, the breeze greatly affected her warmth, she didn’t care to take something that could make her hot.
She began to sob as tears fell down her cheeks, she squeezed her eyes letting each diamond of tear fall down her lashes.
Her mouth muttering, weakened in the heart, her heart pondered remembering those words.
When was she going to be the perfect daughter, through out her life she had tried to win her father’s love but each time she tries to, she ends up as the unruly kid.
And her mother—
She sniffed her nose as she rubbed it, it was already swollen red, she placed her hand on her cheek cleaning her cheeks so she could take the call.
She reached for her phone and then a smile formed on her face but before that, she turned on the notification of a particular setting.
"Hey, my little one," she said in a cheerful tone.
"Actually, is not Arthur," at recognition of the voice, she looked at the phone again.
"Vi-vixen?" She stuttered.
"Hi."
"Hi, Vixen, why did you call?"
"I thought that—" he stopped himself from speaking further, at least there should be a befitting explanation he could make other than saying he missed her.
"What did you think?" she said after noticing her was silent for a while.
"Is just that you’ve been absent at the house for a while and the atmosphere has really not being the same."
" Don’t tell me you miss me," she said in a jest as she chuckled.
" No, no," he said timidly.
" Is just that—"
" Vixen I know that you miss me," silence coupled for a while, his heart racing just listening to her silence, it made him feel like he was with her.
" How is Arthur," she added.
" Well—" just as he spoke, his eyes gazed on Arthur who was getting his homework down in the dinning area, behind him he rested on the railing of a yacht as the waves of water swam through the yacht and the wind, it was fresh.
" He’s doing well," he replied as she smiled.
She cleansed her cheeks and then sniffed which made Vixen concerned.
" Abi, are you crying?"
" What? Crying? I’m not is just that I miss you guys so much. I miss my little one."
" What about your father?"
" My father?"
" Yeah, is he okay?"
" Oh yeah, my father. He’s improving, and I’m here enduring the tortures," she didn’t mean to say that but since it slipped through her lips, she covered it up with a laughter.
" I’m sure everything is going to be fine. You just need a little faith, I’m sure he’s going to be okay."
" I hope so, Vixen."
He smiled.
" Well, what are you Arthur having there, I can hear the sounds of water. "
" Oh, actually, we’re having a vacation. "
" At the sea? "
" Hmm. "
" Oh my God, I wished I was there, you guys are having it without me there. "
" If you want, you can come. "
" Seriously, Vixen?"
" I don’t see why you shouldn’t come, after all the contract hasn’t taken it’s due date yet. "
She smiled.
" Seriously, you want to be mischievous? But I really wished I could come Vixen but you know, I have to take care of him. "
" I know. Besides, we’ll not have this trip for a long while. "
She chuckled.
Her mind felt satisfied with his words but then she felt she didn’t want to stop the conversation with Vixen.
The silence took the atmosphere once again, in the head of these two they didn’t want to stop speaking to each other but the moment felt awkward.
" Well, I think I have to end the call. "
" Wait Vixen, don’t, " she hurried to say.
" Oh okay, why? "
"Well, well," she stammered, what was she going to say?
"Well, Vixen, the thing is that— I thought I could speak with Arthur at least, he’s being away from me for a long while."
"I know Abi but then you can drop a voice message, for now I think for him not to be so troublesome is best he meets you instead."
"Don’t tell me you’re trying to keep me away from him."
"No, no, that’s not what I’m trying to do. "
"Common, silly, I know. I’ll send the voice mail instead."
"Okay."
"So, what plans do you guys have for the weekend?"
"Actually, since you left we’ve been occupied with certain things, as of now to feel enlightened we decided to take a trip out."
"That’s why your guys are having a cruise."
"Yeah, I that’s what you want to say."
"So, did you miss me, Vixen."
"Uh-hmm," he bit his tongue what could he say.
"I’m just playing, Vixen. I’ll send the voice message, Vixen."
" Okay then. "
" I’ll end the call. "
" Okay, " he said casually as Abi held her breath about to press the button to end the call.
She heaved a deep breath, as it got ended.
She really missed them, and then with the fact that she hoped she could meet with him just one last time.
Maybe before he discovers that she was his nemesis.
Her hand on her phone as she stared at her phone.
She really didn’t want to be without them but the fact still remained.
She was the liar.
She hoped, at least life gives her the one chance to be with him once again.
Just one last time when she will get to hug him wholeheartedly.
She chuckled as she clicked her head.
What was the use of thinking of that, they really weren’t supposed to be.
After all they were world’s greatest enemy.
She sighed as she gripped to her phone and then she placed it in her pocket, raising her head to see the dark night was blossomed with the stars in the sky.
She wished she could rewrite the stars and once again be with him.
A life time she could spend where she was with him.
