Chapter 225: Full plan

"Exactly, you wouldn’t come across it anywhere, which means you wouldn’t have any knowledge of it," Elizabeth remarked.

"There was an incident that sparked quite a stir—"

"Aren’t you Mia Justin?" Abi declared confidently, and in that instant, she noticed that Abi had purposely adopted an innocent expression.

She was fully aware of the events that had unfolded years earlier.

"And what exactly do you intend to say about that?" she inquired sharply, a frown etched across her face.

For various reasons, she noticed her hands growing clammy; the mere thought of what Abi might choose to do filled her with dread.

However, it was certain that she would return, intent on settling the score for the humiliation she had endured.

"I simply wanted to verify what was necessary. Come on, tell me the whole story," Abi demanded with a voice that was both calm and unwavering.

"Then, quite unexpectedly, she vanished from the internet. The last occasion I recall seeing her online was during Enim and Vixen’s wedding. I assumed she would resurface online after that event, but there wasn’t a single sign of her presence anywhere. It was as if she had completely disappeared from existence."

"You mentioned something earlier about Enim, suggesting that there was some kind of disagreement or controversy between her and you."

Mia’s expression turned into a frown as she suddenly remembered she had made an error.

"Oh, I apologize, I meant to say Prudence. It was actually Prudence."

"Regardless of whether it was Prudence or someone else, you consistently found yourself involved in situations related to them."

Mia felt her heart race as she shook her head in confusion.

"What exactly do you mean by that?"

"For Prudence to have a disagreement with you, isn’t it related to your involvement? And regarding Enim, Vixen was responsible for getting someone arrested. Do you know who that person is?"

Mia looked at her in astonishment, unable to comprehend how this girl had delved so deeply into her research beyond what seemed necessary.

"Who—who are you referring to?" she stammered, while Abi simply smirked.

"I’m offering you just one opportunity, and that’s all you’ll get. How did you come across the information you shared with your son?" she declared confidently.

"A-abi, listen closely. It’s common knowledge that everyone should be aware of; you might have the appearance of Prudence, but have you ever realized that the young man you refer to as your son bears no resemblance to you whatsoever?"

"Moreover, you maintained your silence within that family for years. Vixen never made appearances alongside you, and he never mentioned Enim after their marriage. So, I pondered over what I shared with my son and subsequently offered him those warnings."

She successfully conveyed her thoughts, yet her eyes stayed locked on the young woman positioned in front of her.

She swallowed hard, and though her stare was harsh enough to penetrate her very being, it simultaneously seemed as if she understood everything necessary without needing to look at her.

"Your son never sought guidance on whom he should or shouldn’t associate with, and the same applies to my son. All the children attended their school primarily to receive an education, correct? In addition to acquiring knowledge, they also gathered there to form friendships."

"If you harbor any suspicions or grievances against my family, feel free to discuss them with us. However, let me assure you that if your son ever targets my son again, I promise not to overlook the situation."

Mia pressed her lips together from the inside, her plan was originally to give this woman a taste of her own medicine, yet now she found herself being threatened by her.

How much further could this woman push the boundaries and show such disrespect towards her?

Initially, she had gone on the offensive with her driver and resorted to blackmail, and now all Mia could do was put on an act of innocence.

If she hoped to emerge from this situation unscathed, she would have to play it safe, because the next encounter she had with her would need to be a perfect strike.

Mia shot an unmistakably deliberate glance, accompanying it with a casual scoff.

"I am well aware that you don’t regard me with seriousness, especially after the incident involving your driver. It compelled me to take certain actions that I deemed necessary. Who can say what further measures I might resort to just to receive some motivation from you," Abi stated with a composed voice.

"Is that supposed to be a threat?"

"I have never issued a threat to anyone; instead, I provide a warning. If you choose to ignore my warning, I will proceed with my actions as previously mentioned. My son is not someone to be trifled with; never involve him when you are looking to start a conflict."

"As his mother, I am fiercely protective. Feel free to challenge me if you must, as I am unfazed by such confrontations. However, if you so much as leave a minor scratch on him, you will witness a fierce response, just like the events that transpired today," Abi declared, rising to her feet and offering a hand with a smile.

"I sincerely hope that my warning has managed to persuade you. It was a pleasure to meet you," Abi remarked while extending her hand, waiting expectantly for a handshake from Mia.

As Abi rose to her feet, Mia’s eyes followed her every movement. In disbelief, she gasped at the impact of Abi’s words.

Though she felt threatened, Abi somehow made their earlier conversation seem as trivial as a discussion about bread and butter.

Mia gazed at her intently, her mind overwhelmed with memories of the day’s events.

Though she couldn’t overcome her at that moment, she was determined to return for revenge in the future.

She was the person destined to be left utterly confused, at a loss for words.

Mia rose from her seat and then offered a friendly smile as she accepted the handshake.

"It was a pleasure meeting you," she added, her eyes holding a deep and meaningful gaze.

Clearly, their eyes conveyed unspoken messages about what could possibly happen in the future.

This was indeed what Mia had hoped for, although she never imagined it would happen in such a way.

"That’s good," Abi spoke last.

"I can’t believe what she’s done!" Mia exclaimed in exasperation as she stormed onto the terrace of Sebastian’s home.

Her sudden entrance caught Sebastian’s attention, prompting him to shift his gaze from his work to see her enter the room, her face a picture of frustration.

Sebastian furrowed his brow, puzzled and trying to comprehend the cause of Mia’s unexpected outburst.

"What exactly do you mean by that?" he asked, lifting his head to face her.

He settled back into the couch, momentarily pausing his typing on the laptop to give her his attention.

"Just you wait and see. I’m going to prove who can really be the woman here. Today was humiliating; she made a complete fool of me in front of everyone." 𝗳𝚛𝚎𝚎𝘄𝕖𝕓𝕟𝕠𝚟𝚎𝕝.𝗰𝕠𝐦

"Who are you referring to?"

Mia turned her intense gaze towards him, her face a picture of fury, and pointed directly at him.

"Your sister, that damn woman you call your sister. She’s completely messed up!" she shouted.

He raised an eyebrow as he gazed at her.

"Why are you expressing dissatisfaction about her? I was under the impression that you mentioned having some plans involving her. Did you, by any chance, end up in another argument due to that dwarf? Was he not up to the task he was given?"

"Just be quiet! Seriously, shut the f*ck up! Naturally, that dwarf did what he was supposed to do, and he did it exceptionally well. The fact is, she came after me exactly as I anticipated she would, and then she employed her strategies against me in a way that caught me completely off guard."

"What are you even talking about?"

"She utterly humiliated me! She forced me to fall to my knees as if I were some kind of foolish puppet. She made me act as if I were nothing more than a beggar."

Sebastian was undoubtedly affected by her anguished cries, prompting him to ponder the situation further and determine in what way he should respond.

"However, I never provided her with any information regarding you."

"For heaven’s sake, she’s your sister! She’s Abi! When she takes action, it’s because she has a clear reason for doing so. When she initiates something, she’s already ten steps ahead of everyone else."

"Hold on, Mia. You’re really confusing me right now. What exactly? Why is this happening? When did this occur? How did it all unfold?"

"Your sister dropped her son off at school, just as I thought she would, but there was more to it—she wanted to hang out with me. I agreed to meet her, and we ended up at a restaurant this morning."

"Can you believe she orchestrated the whole thing? Everyone there, from the manager to the waitstaff and even the customers, were in on her plan. They all played their parts perfectly, and I ended up acting foolishly in front of her."

"First, she criticized me for the way I was eating. I expected it would annoy her, and I was just waiting for her to say something, but she managed to make me feel like an idiot for my table manners. Then, things got even stranger. She dismissed my driver, and in a rather foolish move, she engaged in a conversation with me, attempting to threaten me. Before leaving, she issued a warning."

"She really did?" Sebastian erupted in laughter, shaking his head in disbelief at how things had unfolded.

"You know what, I’m going to take another approach, and I want you to pass along my information to her. This time, I want her to experience the embarrassment firsthand. I’m going all out with the plan!"
