Married to my nemesis-Chapter 240: Is just the beginning
"Vixen took something that belongs to us. He took the device from the IMF."
"The device didn’t belong to us in the first place, and you know about it," Sebatian stated, he interrupted Mia while she was talking.
Because of Sebastian’s words, Mia chuckled in disbelief and then she spoke; "Oh now you’re telling me how the process is supposed to be. Aunty Mina, common don’t tell me this is the kind of son you have," Mia stated, she turned her gaze towards Mina who had a disappointed look, but she still drank from her wine.
Just then the bartender came in, dropped Mia’s cup on the counter, Mia turned and drank from the cup. With a bitter expression, she turned her gaze back to Sebastian.
"Sebastian, sincerely they’re so many things I can point you out as one of the worst and stupid people I’ve met in my life, but I wouldn’t speak. I know the device doesn’t belong to the IMF but what is my concern? Now what we need is to maintain our superiority doing that also means making sure we have that device. Right now, my concern is not how Abi is feeling guilty for something she didn’t do. She could perish for all I care; I know that I’m not going to involve myself in her topic. You know what, there is something called finders keeper, and that is what I’m trying to do for the organization. I’m taking something that belongs to us back, and that’s why I decided to get the IMF involved."
"Everyone knows is because you’re scared about what Vixen might do and not because of the device," Sebastian coldly replied, his arms rested on the bar counter. He turned his gaze to Mia watching her open her lips slightly in astonishment and then she scoffed.
"Oh wow, is that what you think of me? I’m trying to protect the organization from a criminal," Mia replied, trying her best to maintain her cool.
"I know you’re one of the counselors of the IMF and you have a massive decision in the company but that doesn’t push the fact that whatever you’re doing is not out of being rational but because you don’t want Vixen to be with Abi. You know what, why don’t you just face the fact. The fact that remains that Vixen would never be yours."
"Mina keep your child quiet or he might lose his life right this moment?" Mia stated, she gritted her teeth, her hand held the cup of wine tightly.
It made Sebastian scoff in disbelief. His gaze still on her and then he spoke; "You’re not going to do a thing. But then, I advise you, whatever you’re doing, make sure to add some sense to it because you’re behaving quite ridiculously recently."
He said and then stood up his seat leaving their premises.
"Who does he think he is?" Mia quivered while Sebastian left the room.
"Aunty Mina, what’s wrong with Sebastian? I thought he wanted to be a part of this?" she rained questions on Mina the moment Sebastian left the bar.
"I’m also stunned by his behavior. When he was speaking with Abi a while ago, he seemed concerned about what the organization was facing."
"That’s exactly what I’m trying to understand. The company has not been exposed to the media, yet he’s behaving like we are in some trouble," Mia mumbled.
"Maybe he’s nervous by the fact that the moment the media finds out that the IMF was also involved in this, then it’ll look very bad for him since it is his reign." Mina responded.
Mia shrugged her shoulders; she turned her gaze back to the cup of wine lying on the table and then she took her cup of wine taking a sip from the cup; "I don’t care whatever he thinks but I can’t help but think of who would lay the complaint against Vixen."
"So, you didn’t lay the complaint?"
"Why would you say that?"
"For a moment I was beginning to think you were. That you were trying to cover up in front of Sebastian."
"Sincerely? Is that what you think of me, Aunt?"
"I dint say that was what I thought about you, I’m just being a little bit suspicious about where this is heading to."
"The only thing that makes this better is the fact that Vixen is in jail, and I’m going to use this opportunity. I’m going to make Vixen realize what type of woman he’d lost," Mia said casually.
"Then do you think Abi might be the one responsible?" Mina said, her tone in a whisper.
"For a moment I thought so but then I realized there’s nowhere she could do it. I can feel the emotions she has for Vixen. She does love him, so there’s no way she’ll do that. There’s someone else who’s playing this game, and that person is the one who’s responsible for putting Vixen in jail. She’s just the victim and likewise Vixen."
"Oh my, it’s really confusing."
*
Abi walked back and forth her room feeling uneasy. After the officials were done with searching her room, she didn’t take a minute less to enter the room. So was the same thing being for Arthur.
She made sure Arthur had his food before he entered his room, so he’ll feel comfortable while being in his room.
She heaved a deep breath, frustratedly digging her fingers through her hair while she waited patiently for the phone call to get answered. Since it was still going to take a while for the receiver of the phone call to answer, she dropped the phone on her bed and curiously headed towards the drawer in her room.
While she walked towards the drawer, she patiently hoped that the officials hadn’t taken what she’d placed in there. She opened her drawer, staring at the wall of the drawer for a while not until she heard the person who she’d called speak.
"Hello," she heard a masculine voice speak curiosity, she drew back the drawer into its place and then headed towards the bed.
"Father," she said calmly, patiently waiting for a response from him.
"You’re curious about what happened to Vixen, aren’t you?"
"Father- "
"Listen dear, whatever is happening to Vixen. I’m not involved with it."
"No that’s not what I want to ask you. I’m just curious, who could have done it? Is there some way I can find out who is against Vixen?"
"I knew you would say something like this, but I really can’t say anything."
"Father, someone pretended to be me, and out of the blue the IMF became involved with the situation. I’m just scared."
"I thought you had no feelings for this man, why the sudden reaction?" her father spoke teasingly, Abi frustratedly sighed.
"Father, I’m not doing this because of my feelings, I’m still going to deal with Vixen but at this moment. All I need to know I who pretended to be me. Who got the opportunity to get Vixen arrested."
"Well dear, it taken years since I’ve been lastly involved with the IMF. You’re the only one who knows the answer."
"Father, I wouldn’t have called you if I don’t know anything. I don’t know what to do and it’s becoming so exasperating. For crying out loud, I had promised his son that everything is going to be alright, but the fact remains that I much clueless about what I’m going to do. I’m losing my mind over this fact."
’The why don’t you come out as Abigail. Go tell the federation Vixen isn’t responsible for what had done."
"Maybe that’s the best thing to do at this moment. Vixen needs to know the truth and not get punished that easily," Abi murmured.
"Did you say something child?" her father questioned; Abi spoke calmly but in a stutter.
"Is nothing father. I understand what I must do now. I’m going to make everything right."
"Okay, dear."
"Bye father," Abi stated, and then ended the call.
The moment the call was ended, the gun at which was pointed to her father’s head was retracted and then his phone was violently collected from his hand.
"Mia, what you’re doing, are you sure is going to be right?" Mina spoke, Mia raised her head to meet her aunt’s gaze.
Thankfully, Abi called just as she had expected, and they were able to arrive from the bar just at the time necessary. Mia knew all along that the great Camino would probably tell his daughter about what this conspiracy maybe. The fact was that they knew nothing about who had reported but the reason for getting involved in Vixen’s case was something they knew.
Through this means they could retrieve the device once again.
For Abi she’ll remain clueless about who had laid the complaint but then the moment she comes out as Abigail would be the perfect opportunity they had always wanted, and Abi’s advice towards Abigail was the perfect opportunity for Mia to device her plan.
"Aunt is just the beginning. The right time for us to strike," Mia explained curtly, she raised her head to gaze at Mina.
