Married To The Dragon Prince Against My Will-Chapter 232: SNAPPED BACK
Lumina walked toward the room, the sacred chamber where the coven pool rested at the heart of the coven room.
She had just gotten the news that her lovely sister was there and Lumina couldn’t understand why.
Her steps were steady, almost unnaturally precise, as though her body remembered the path even when her eyes could not fully guide her.
The faint echo of her footsteps blended with the distant sound of dripping water.
"My lady... don’t you think we shouldn’t..." Stella’s voice trailed behind her, laced with worry.
But Lumina did not slow. If anything, her pace quickened, so accurate and controlled that Stella faltered in surprise before hurrying after her.
There was something different in the way Lumina moved now.
Finally, they both reached the inner chamber and the doors opened.
"Stay back!" Lumina told her handmaid.
"My lady but.." her words trailed off as Lumina walked inside, ignoring her.
Inside sat Rhynera, surrounded by noble ladies draped in silk and jewels, their laughter hushed the moment Lumina stepped in.
"What is going on here?" Lumina’s voice rang out, clear and cold but no one answered.
Not a single head turned toward her.
"I am talking," she said again, her tone rising, anger blowing through the stillness.
Only then did Rhynera rise from her seat. The noble ladies stood as well, bowing quickly, their movements stiff as Rhynera approached Lumina with a slow smile. It was the kind of smile that never reached the eyes.
"Don’t you think you are being too disrespectful," Rhynera began.
Lumina was too furious to control her anger and lifted instinctively, the air trembling around her fingers as fury surged through her veins.
But a hand seized her wrist from behind, stopping her from slapping Rhynera.
"Let me go," Lumina snapped, twisting violently. "I swear if you..."
Her words shattered into silence as the grip tightened and her body was yanked backward. Pain exploded across her face as a sharp slap connected with brutal force. The sound echoed through the chamber, so loud that everyone gasped.
Lumina’s world spun and her feet slipped on the floor, her balance lost as her body crashed down.
Her head struck the ground hard, the impact sending a blinding jolt through her skull.
The taste of iron filled her mouth as her vision swam, light bursting behind her closed lids.
She cried out, a broken sound, clutching her cheek as heat radiated across her skin.
She rushed to touch her face but something felt strange about her eyes. It felt like the light pouring into her eyes was too bright at this moment.
She squeezed her eyes shut beneath the blindfold, breath coming in shallow gasps.
Slowly, trembling, she opened them again. Despite the blindfold, she could see.
Pain lanced through her eyes, fierce and burning, but shapes formed, colors bleeding through the darkness. Her heart pounded as she lifted her gaze.
There, she saw Aurelia standing before her; she couldn’t tell who these were, but she could analyze them.
Aurelia was dressed in black gown, her hair pulled back tightly, her features twisted with fury.
Her eyes burned with hatred, her posture rigid, hands clenched at her sides as though restraining herself from striking again.
Lumina pushed herself up unsteadily, disbelief flooding her expression.
"You bitch," Aurelia screamed, her voice cracking with rage. "You destroyed my mother and my brother, and now you are coming for everyone else."
The words barely registered but one thing was for sure she could tell the lady yelling before her was none other than Aurelia.
Lumina’s attention drifted past her, her vision blurred and sharpened all at once as she turned her head slightly, eyes straining despite the pain and then she saw her. 𝐟𝕣𝗲𝕖𝕨𝗲𝐛𝗻𝗼𝐯𝗲𝚕.𝗰𝚘𝐦
’Rhynera.’
The one she has always wanted to see all her life and also make her life a living hell.
She stood there in pale blue silk, her face glowing with excitement she could not hide.
Her eyes widened as she noticed the way Lumina stared, the way her head tilted as though seeing for the first time.
Rhynera’s lips curled upward as she tried to move closer to her, only then did Lumina’s breath caught.
The realization struck her like lightning, that once again after ten years she could now see again.
Her heart surged with a wild, almost hysterical joy. She wanted to laugh, to cry, to run through the palace halls just to prove it was real. She wanted to see her husband, truly see him.
"I am talking to you," Aurelia shouted again and only then did Lumina recall what had caused this I’m the first place.
But Lumina did not respond to her, She turned toward the door, hope outweighing the pain as she reached for escape.
But this made Aurelia snap as she grabbed Lumina from behind, fingers digging into her arm.
"I am talking to you," she snarled. "You cannot just ignore me."
Lumina twisted, shoving her away with what little strength she had left.
Aurelia’s face contorted with fury, not able to take it anymore she lunged forward, dragging Lumina toward the center of the chamber where the sacred pool shimmered beneath the light.
"You brat! Enjoy your swim there!" she yelled as she shoved her forward with all her strength.
Lumina’s eyes widened but it was too late she fell right inside the pool.
The lady gasped as her body plunged into the water, the surface breaking violently as she disappeared beneath it. Cold engulfed her instantly, stealing the air from her lungs.
"I... I... I can’t swim," Lumina choked, water flooding her mouth as she struggled.
Above her, Rhynera covered her lips, stepping closer with feigned concern.
"Princess," she said softly, her voice trembling with false worry. "She cannot swim. Please save her." But Aurelia brushed Rhynera’s hand away.
"You can save her if you wish," she said coldly, Rhynera shifted back with a smirk and she touched her stomach.
"Fine... your brother might be going through some punishment now but that doesn’t stop the fact that I am carrying an heir." Aurelia glanced at Rhynera.
"I am pregnant my lady... I would have jumped in to save her... so please forgive my sister.." Only then did the murmurs begin.
"Princess Rhynera is such a nice lady."
"Despite what Princess Lumina has done she still wants to save her." Rhynera smirks, yes just like her mum had advised before leaving even though her mother isn’t too happy with the current situation.
But she left her with one thing, act pitiful in this moment and you can go through the hard time.
Everyone still watched Lumina struggle and Aurelia had that satisfying look until the doors burst open.
Ashen stormed into the chamber, his presence alone forcing the ladies to bow. His eyes locked onto Rhynera and Aurelia for only a second before he heard it.
Lumina’s broken voice.
He did not hesitate as he leapt into the pool, water overflowing around him as he reached her, pulling her against his chest. She clung to him desperately, coughing and shaking as he carried her out.
The moment her feet touched solid ground, she broke down, burying her face against his shoulder, sobbing as she struggled to breathe.
Ashen gently lifted her fully into his arms, turning away from Aurelia as she reached out.
"Ashen," she called for a few moments the power of her being the older sister flew out, she weirdly didn’t want to get him mad.
He sidestepped her touch effortlessly and turned slowly, his gaze settling on Aurelia and Rhynera.
Before they could react, their bodies jerked violently, and they felt a force wrapped around them, lifting them off the ground.
Panic flashed across their faces as they were dragged toward the pool against their will.
The ladies screamed at once seeing this as they began to shift back.
"Leave," Ashen commanded, all at once they fled the room.
Ashen’s eyes never left the struggling figures in the water. "Never have the idea of hurting my wife again else you might not live." With that he stepped out of the room.
