Married To The Last Ice Dragon-Chapter 162: Shattered soul
Sage stood in front of the mirror, solemnly staring at herself. Her emerald eyes were dull and slowly glowed into the fiery form.
Her mind was overflowing.
On the one hand, she had Cyrus, who was in his dark state and would kill her without hesitation on his birthday. She was willing to go to any length to convince him that he loved her, despite the fact that he had recently confused her. Giving her passionate kisses she would never forget, kisses that always felt like the first time he had ever crashed his lips on hers.
She couldn’t understand him, despite her best efforts.
On the other hand, she had statkus mages who wanted her fire core for obvious reasons.
She also needed to track down Credia mages and discover what Katherine had been up to during their time apart.
Sage sighed deeply, unable to think any longer. She was lonely and felt bad for Darren, whom she couldn’t trust.
All of the elder mages, including her mother, were killed by Statkus mages...
Darren appeared to be a threat to her. A threat disguised as a friend, which made it difficult to treat him the same as before.
Sage’s eyes welled up with tears, her heart heavy as she realized she was going through a difficult time with no one to console her.
The one she yearned for comfort from was the one who had the most impact on her.
Sage’s vision became blurred as tears rolled out of her eyes and down her cheeks.
"Wh..y?" Her voice cracked and she coughed violently.
She sobbed and fiddled with her fingers, attempting to suppress her sadness.
Suddenly, she saw white long hair through her blurred vision, and just as she was about to react, she felt hands wrap around her body and intertwine on her stomach.
Sage exclaimed as she felt a jaw rest on her shoulder.
"You know I despise your tears, parrot." In her head, a soothing, calm voice echoed.
"Would you like me to apologize? I won’t." She asked, sniffling.
"Interesting," he said softly, giving her an eargasm.
Sage let out a gasp as his grip on her tightened, pressing their bodies against each other, and she realized she wasn’t dreaming.
"Cyrus?!" She exclaimed and turned to face him.
He immediately released her, and she turned to face him, only to see him in his normal state, lovingly staring at her.
She hugged him tightly, burying her face in his chest, and burst into tears as her heart nearly burst out of her chest.
"Please tell me I am not dreaming." He sighed deeply, caressing his slik red hair, as she pleaded.
"It is not a dream. Something is wrong with Snow. He is probably sick, so I will be switching from time to time, but only until he gets better." Cyrus stated calmly.
Sage yanked away from the hug, widening her eyes at him. She pinched his cheeks and cupped his face.
He groaned in agony and clutched her wrists. "I am real." He burst out laughing.
"Cyrus! I witnessed your death! Your normal state is no longer alive!" Sage exclaimed.
"Hmm?" Cyrus inquired, tilting his head to the side.
"And I am supposed to be with Ashton and Reagan, but I am here with you." With a chuckle, he said.
"What is going on?" Sage stuttered as she tried to comprehend her situation.
"You melted a little bit of my dark state heart, and because of the strong connection between Ioas’ flare and Aleara’s snowflake, I didn’t go to hell, but my soul is shattered, which is why I might never return as soon as Snow gets better." Cyrus revealed.
"Aleara’s snowflake? Shattered soul? Never return if Snow gets better?!" Sage ended her words with a scream.
"That snowflake and flare you saw on my mother’s outstretched hands. The flare which is the Ioas flare has entered you, and the Aleara’s snowflake with her is a powerful living artifact of the ice dragons. It is also linked to me." Cyrus informed her.
"I...I... I can not process all of this." Sage stumbled.
"But you have to, my dear parrot," Cyrus said, cupping her face. "My dark state is falling for you; take advantage of him." He finished with a sly grin.
"He is you without the good emotions." She muttered something.
"Emotions... Interesting, isn’t it?" Cyrus inquired, cheerfully chuckling.
Sage gave him a warm hug and a bright smile. "There is a lot going on." She cried out.
"And I am here to help you solve them. Keep out of trouble, my love." Cyrus whispered, broke the hug, and kissed her on the lips.
"I will try." Sage shed a tearful smile.
"You better." Before she could respond, Cyrus hissed and flicked her brow.
He took her unconscious in his arms as a bright glow surrounded him and he returned to his dark state groaning in pain.
"That hurt." He growled through his teeth, walked over to the bed, gently placed Sage on it, and then wrapped her in a blanket. 𝓯𝙧𝙚𝒆𝙬𝙚𝒃𝙣𝙤𝒗𝓮𝓵.𝙘𝙤𝙢
Cyrus’ normal state soul was shattered, and he could switch back because Snowflake was sick, but each switch caused pain similar to removing an alive and awake person’s intestine.
Cyrus gave Sage a cold stare. "You are lucky, and I envy you." He muttered, smirked, and walked away from the door.
"You are also lucky, lucky that the eternal frost melts so slowly." In the room, a familiar female voice echoed.
"You shouldn’t be here, mother," Cyrus growled, his hand on the doorknob.
"Where do you think your stubbornness came from, my dear son?" Aurora asked, scoffing.
"All right." Cyrus smiled and looked at the female shadow on the ground. "Since you are already here, why not follow the arrogant parrot to the mages?" He inquired.
"I will do anything to keep her safe." Aurora laughed.
"As soon as you feel drained, return to the mansion!" Cyrus continued in a commanding tone.
"Of course," Aurora laughed, and the shadow faded away.
"I got my stubbornness from you mother," Cyrus grumbled, shifting his gaze to his unconscious wife.
