Married to the loveless CEO-Chapter 157: So much like you
Leo’s and Olivia’s daughter was the first they were allowed to see. Leo and his mom were the first to go see his baby girl.
"Awwn wow, have you seen anything more beautiful," Helen beamed as she saw the adorable angel.
"She looks so much like you Leo," she continues as she carried the child who began to wake up. Leo just stood close to her watching them. He was too happy to say anything.
Babies usually gave people this sense of joy and the feeling of knowing the little one was yours was something else.
"Oh wow, she has Olivia’s eyes," Helen added when the girl opened her big bright eyes that were sequin blue just like her mom’s.
Leo was smiling from ear to ear.
"Don’t you want to hold her?" Helen questioned.
"Can I?...I mean, I don’t want to drop her," he has literally never held a baby before, not even his little sister.
"C’mon, I’ll show you how to." And in the next minute, Leo was holding his daughter in his arms.
He was so stiff, afraid he would let her go.
"Relax Leo," Helen laughed.
A chuckle escaped his lips.
The baby didn’t cry, didn’t make a sound in her father’s arms. It was as if she recognized he was her father, she was so comfortable with him as they held each other’s gaze.

Leo was soon in the room Olivia was. He sat on a chair close to the bed. His gaze never left her. The only sounds that could be heard in the room were that of the heart monitor which was steady and that of the oxygen support as Olivia breathe steadily with the oxygen aid.
This sight of her was heart breaking.
"Olivia...my love. Please wake up, if you can hear me, I want you to know that our daughter and I are waiting for you. You have to see her, she’s like an angel from heaven. So beautiful, just like you. She has your eyes(Huffs)" He felt like he was going to choke on the lump on his throat as tears began to walk down his cheeks uncontrollably.
"Please wake up. We’ll be waiting. I love you," he added and placed a kiss on her forehead.
But she remained in that condition for the next few days. She didn’t wake up, instead...
"Hey Leo," Colleen walked into the room Olivia was in, Leo was in his usual spot sitting close to her bed.
"Hey Colleen." He replied briefly.
"I brought some flowers," she told and started arranging them in a vase.
"I also brought some food for you. These pass few days has been so hard on you, you barely eat." Sha added.
"Thank you." He replied.
Suddenly, the heart monitor started beeping uncontrollably, going off the charts as Olivia’s body jerked even though she was still unconscious.
"Olivia? Olivia! Colleen! Get the doctor!" Leo yelled and Colleen was soon out of the room to get a doctor.
"Olivia..." He held her hands worriedly.
The doctor and some nurses soon arrived.
"I’d need both of you to leave the room," the doctor said as he started attending to Olivia and Leo and his sister were escorted out of the room by some nurses.
"No no no!" Leo yelped as he sat on the chairs in the lobby and squeezed on his hair.
"Leo-"
"No oh God, please no..." He started crying.
Colleen has never seen her brother like this. His lips moved in small mutterings as he cried on, praying.
Praying?
Something she didn’t know he could do. They weren’t really the religious types.
"Leo-"
"I can’t lose her," he cried.
"Leo you won’t! Don’t think like that, you have to be strong for her, and your daughter. Snap out of it." It was breaking her heart seeing her brother like this and she too started crying as well. She squatted close to him and held him in a side hug.
"It’s hard not to think that way Colleen, I’m... I’m scared, I can’t lose her. I won’t survive it, I can’t, I don’t think I can." He continued.
"I’m so sorry, it’s all my fault. She was alright, she was doing alright but her pregnancy was put in danger when she fell because of me. I’ve never been able to forgive myself. I-I won’t be able to forgive myself if anything happens to her." She lamented.
There was silence. Then Leo broke it after some while.
"It’s okay. It’s okay Colleen." The siblings comforted themselves.
Silvia and Sentencia were the first to rush over to the hospital when they heard about Olivia’s current condition.
Her condition became critical all of a sudden and after much attention, she was finally moved to the ICU.
"Only one visitor at a time," the doctor told and Leo was the first to see her.
He wore the requirements required to go into the ICU.
More life support were connected to Olivia. It was completely heartbreaking.
"I don’t get it Olivia," he held her hands.
Why won’t she wake up already? With modern technology, barely 7% of women who undergo surgery for childbirth dies, his Olivia can’t be among the 7%. Why was her condition worsening?
"I can’t lose you Olivia. Please wake up, be strong. You’re doing good, don’t go completely please. Keep fighting, our daughter and I are waiting for you. Please," he lamented more.
His eyes were shut so tightly as he held and kissed her hands.
Beeeeeeeepppppp...
Went the sound of the heart monitor as she drifted off the world of the living.
Doctors and nurses soon filled the room trying to revive her. This time, Leo refused to leave the room, he couldn’t believe what was happening right now.
He stood close to the medical personnels in shock. It was painful to watch but he couldn’t look away. There was still a linger of hope in his heart that by some miracle her heart will start beating again.
Silvia, Colleen and Cia stood by the glass walls watching from outside.
The doctors were trying the best they can to revive her;
"Increase it to 123,"
"123,"
"One, two, go!"
They spoke as they used the defibrillator on her but still, nothing!
"I’m sorry Mr. Lee."
"No..."
"She’s gone..."
"No!"
