Chapter 373 - Chosen Ones.

Four young men and three young women were sitting on the sofas in an ordinary brick building.

Luna kept whispering with Zoe, talking about the things Ichiro had done.

Zoe, at first, was shocked that it was this black-haired youth who defeated that disgusting bastard.

She hated Avery with passion and knew that she was defeated but didn't really dig deep into it.

Ichiro kept talking with Lord while Lone was glaring straight at him.

''Stop it.'' Ares elbowed Lone's waist.

''Tch.'' Lone clicked his tongue and crossed his arms.

*Knock* *Knock*

Suddenly, a knocking sound came from the door.

Aurora, who was closest to the door, stood up and walked towards the door.

Others frowned and wondered who it was this time.

*Creak*

Aurora opened the door and was surprised to see a beautiful black-haired young woman.

''U-Umm, who may you be?'' She asked with a shy tone and felt self-conscious about being in her presence.

''Is Ichiro here?'' She asked and tried to peek inside the building but couldn't see all the way to the living room.

''Ah, yes!'' Aurora nodded and asked, ''W-Why are you asking?''

''I am his girlfriend. Can I enter?'' The identity of the black-haired young woman was Azura. She had a phone in her hand and narrowed her eyes as she knew he was inside the building.

''Oh!'' Aurora stepped to the side and saw everyone in the living room looking confused.

Azura entered the building and stopped walking once she entered the living room with Aurora.

''Who..?'' Lord furrowed his brows, but soon another excited scream appeared.

''Oh my gosh!'' Zoe had to cover her ears as Luna's excited scream came.

Everyone was surprised after seeing Luna arriving in front of Azura and trapping her in a hug.

''What the heck…'' Lord, Lone, and Ares looked at each other with confused faces.

''Since when your little sister liked that much about physical contact?'' Ares asked from Lone.

Lone shrugged, ''No idea… Maybe she has a few screws loose.''

''U-Uh?'' Azura felt the warmth of Luna's body and was very shocked at the sudden turn of events.

She looked at her boyfriend and saw him whispering with another youth.

''Heh.'' Luna giggled and looked at Azura's beautiful face, ''I am a huge fan!''

''Fan..?'' Azura tilted her head with questioning marks appearing on top of her head.

''Nn.'' Luna nodded vigorously, ''I am Ichiro's number one fan, and I know everything about him, especially about his girlfriend!''

''Eh?'' Azura felt slightly weirded out and was dragged by Luna to the sofa, where Zoe was sitting.

Azura and Zoe looked at each other for split second, both of them instantly had mutual understanding.

Lord whispered, ''Who is she?''

''My girlfriend,'' Ichiro whispered back, but it was loud enough for Lone and Ares to hear.

Lone instantly felt more relaxed knowing that Ichiro wasn't after his little sister, and his wariness disappeared.

''Wow.'' Lord exclaimed and looked at Azura, ''She is pretty.''

''I know, anyway, we were talking about..?''

''Ah, we need to hide the wine. Otherwise, disaster will follow.'' Lord glanced at his little sister and paled.

''Uhh…'' Ichiro rubbed his chin and asked ''Disaster? I don't think it's that serious.''

''You have no idea…'' Lord shook his head, ''J-Just listen to me this time.''

''Alright.'' Ichiro shrugged and had no idea why it was so severe.

*RING!*

Everyone flinched as suddenly an ear-piercing sound appeared.

The sound of a bell ringing echoed in the village, and instantly they heard the sound of footsteps.

Lord looked outside the window and saw green-robed figures running anxiously.

Every store was closed, and the streets became empty of disciples.

Only members of the younger generation were left.

''What happened?'' Lord stood up and walked towards the door.

*Creak*

He opened the door and peeked towards the streets that were void of life.

It was like everyone had disappeared.

''Weird…'' He was about to close the door, but a voice appeared.

''Chosen Ones!'' Lord and everyone in the building had to cover their ears after an unbelievably loud voice appeared.

''Gather on the temple. First Test is about to begin!'' The voice disappeared after it finished talking.

Lord fell down on his butt, and his ears were still ringing, but it soon subdued.

''Ow…'' He rubbed his painful earlobes and grimaced, ''Why was it so loud?''

Everyone except Ichiro was also rubbing their painful ears.

''Guys, I think we need to go.'' Ichiro stood up and showed the silver ring, a symbol of the chosen one.

Lord, Lone, and Ares looked at their silver rings and nodded.

They left the building, leaving the four young women alone.

Instantly, Zoe smirked, ''Let's search the building; they are hiding something!''

Luna and Aurora giggled and stood up.

''What do you mean?'' Azura grabbed Zoe's hand and stood up with her help.

''Heh.'' Zoe scanned the living room with her hawk-like eyes, ''Do you smell it?''

Azura's nose scrunched as she nodded, ''Yes, it smells bad.''

''It is a smell of wine!'' Zoe trails her finger on the table and sees scratching marks on the table.

''Hehe.'' She leaned closer and noticed how the scratching mark resembled a lot of the cup's shape.

''Girls, I think we got them!''

In the streets.

Ichiro, Lord, Lone, and Ares walked past the empty streets, with most of the buildings pitch dark while confused members of the younger generation were wandering around.

They saw a few young men with silver rings, and they were going in the same direction as them.

The younger generation members, who weren't Chosen Ones, looked confused as they saw so many walking towards the temple.

Some followed but were quickly stopped by disciples, who were on guard duty.

Soon, the four young men arrived at the temple and saw over forty youths standing in five different rows.

They walked through the temple and entered different rows.

On top of the mountain tops.

Spectators had already gathered.

The sky was becoming darker, and soon, the temple and the surrounding area were lit up with lanterns.
