Marvel: Hunter-Chapter 330: Thanos?
But now, after killing so many people, Blaine actually felt guilty.
That feeling surged straight into his heart, making him deeply uncomfortable. When he had killed one or two before, he hadn’t felt anything, but now he had slaughtered so many at once. Blood flowed like rivers, corpses scattered across the field—it was no exaggeration. His heart throbbed faintly.
Fortunately, without Blaine realizing it, the soul pendant hanging around his neck emitted a gentle glow at just the right moment, soothing his nerves and making his expression look calmer.
After all, Blaine was just an ordinary high school student, a teenager who should have been sitting in a classroom, enjoying youth and learning. Instead, he had accidentally activated the Hunter System and begun wandering the universe at such a young age. To have made it this far in only a few years was truly not easy.
Boom, boom, boom...
Boom, boom, boom...
Boom, boom, boom...
Suddenly, as the crowd fell into silence, the sound of heavy footsteps rolled across the ground and into the arena. Each step was unusually heavy, and every time it landed, the ground seemed to shake. It felt as though the entire gladiatorial arena was trembling. Looking closely, the stones on the ground were visibly bouncing in rhythm with the footsteps.
Hulk was the first to jump into the arena. With that landing, the corpse beneath his feet was crushed even further, reduced to pulp.
As soon as he appeared, Hulk still looked defiant, as if he might start a fight at any moment. A massive axe and a huge hammer were clenched in his hands.
Hulk banged the weapons together and roared toward the stands as he had before. This time, however, the audience did not cheer in response. Instead, the atmosphere felt heavy and oppressive.
Seeing that no one reacted, Hulk wisely calmed down and stood there obediently.
Just as Hulk was trying to stir the mood, a familiar voice caught Blaine’s attention.
"Hi, Mr. Hunter."
"Long time no see."
"How did you get down here?"
"Did you do all this?"
The speaker was naturally Thor. Blaine had no idea where Thor came from. At the moment, Thor was unarmed and helmetless, as if he had not come to fight at all. 𝘧𝓇𝑒𝑒𝑤ℯ𝑏𝓃𝘰𝑣ℯ𝘭.𝘤ℴ𝘮
Thor was not as nervous as Hulk, but the corpses covering the arena floor and the blood nearly forming streams still made him uneasy.
Even so, Thor was the prince of Asgard, hundreds of years old, and had experienced countless wars large and small. He did not ask further questions.
Faced with Thor’s inquiry, Blaine remained indifferent. He flipped the trident in his hand and stored it back into the Hunter space.
In his view, the battle was already over. The remaining fighters had been terrified into submission and would not dare to advance. Grandmaster bringing out Hulk and Thor as the finale was a mistake from the start.
Because the moment Hulk saw Blaine, Blaine could tell that the usually fearless Hulk felt a trace of fear toward him. It was likely because Blaine had defeated him so decisively before, leaving him without any confidence to resist.
Especially the scene where Hulk had been blown away by a single punch, smashing through several buildings—that memory was still vivid. Not only for Blaine, but even more so for Hulk as the one who had suffered it.
One of the two powerhouses had already lost his nerve before the fight even began. As for Thor, who was wary of Blaine’s strength, even if he could fight, he would not be able to go all out.
So against these two opponents, regardless of who stepped forward, they might not even be able to fight properly.
And the reality was exactly as Blaine expected. When Blaine lifted his head and stared at Hulk, the giant actually took several steps back. With bodies and blood beneath his feet, he nearly slipped and fell.
But Blaine, anticipating the next challenger, felt a hint of excitement. To be placed as the finale after Hulk and Thor, the opponent’s strength was certainly not ordinary. Just who were they?
Boom, boom, boom, boom, boom, boom...
The dull footsteps continued steadily, approaching step by step as the main event prepared to enter the arena.
Blaine stood in a pool of blood, arms crossed over his chest, eyes narrowed as he stared toward a passageway.
From the pitch-black corridor, a dark figure slowly emerged.
When the figure fully stepped into the arena, Blaine felt his mind tremble, as though he were facing an incomparably terrifying existence.
"I’ll be damned, it can’t be that much of a coincidence."
"No, no, definitely not him."
"Then this guy must be some kind of relative."
"So similar... way too similar."
"Just another Titan."
Blaine rubbed his eyes. It was hard to believe that the person before him had purple skin covering his entire body, with a deeply folded chin that made him resemble Thanos.
"Could he also be from Titan?"
But with a bit of reasoning, Blaine could tell that this purple Titan was definitely not the Mad Titan Thanos etched in his memory.
First of all, it was absolutely impossible for Thanos to be under Grandmaster’s control. Although Grandmaster was one of the oldest beings in the Marvel universe—a member of the Elders of the Universe—Thanos was not someone who would ever serve him. Therefore, this "fake Thanos" could only be someone else from Titan.
Moreover, this man actually had hair. The Mad Titan completely bald.
Blaine hadn’t expected that after Thanos destroyed all life on Titan, someone else from that planet would still appear. How could this be explained? Had he been exiled by Thanos? Or had he escaped before the planet’s destruction?
Blaine shook his head. He didn’t want to think about it anymore. All he needed to know was whether this person was an enemy or a friend.
Just as Blaine thought that Grandmaster’s trump card was this individual, another figure stepped out of the passage behind him.
This person wore a massive metal helmet, so heavy-looking that only his eyes were visible. He was broad-backed and powerfully built, his physique actually comparable to the Titan’s.
He wore clothing that looked like prison garb, and enormous shackles still bound his wrists. He had clearly been imprisoned by Grandmaster for a long time.
Yet beneath the torn fabric, his muscular build and exposed skin made it clear—Blaine could tell with certainty that this man was from Earth.
In addition, within the range of Blaine’s mental perception, several extremely obscure auras could be sensed deeper within the passage. They seemed to be sealed, with no intention of emerging for the time being.
