Marvel : I'm in Westview Town-Chapter 175 : Further Enhance The Magic Of Creation
Chapter 175 - 175 : Further Enhance The Magic Of Creation
He looked at the Scarlet Witch in front of him and said, "In that case, let's go out together later. Where are you heading?"
"I suggest going to the amusement park. I didn't get to enjoy it enough last time," Wanda said proactively.
"I'm fine with that,"
The Dark Witch also nodded. Naturally, she had no objections to the location the other had mentioned.
After a quick meal and some fast packing, the three of them set out immediately. After all, it was the destination they had all agreed on.
The amusement park wasn't far from Westview, and the trio arrived quickly and without incident.
Upon arrival, they purchased tickets and hurried inside, eager to experience everything firsthand. Such moments of peace were rare, and besides, in just a few months, when the mysterious entity arrives, there won't be time for any leisure.
"Just go ahead and play. I'll watch. I'm not that into this stuff," Finn said as he gently patted Wanda's head.
She grinned and took the Dark Witch's hand, dragging her toward the rides like a real little sister eager for adventure.
Finn found a comfortable spot nearby and sat down, watching them.
Originally, he had planned to spend these few days in Westview focusing on training the witches with the Darkhold. More importantly, he intended to finally unlock the secrets behind the magic of creation. But now, it seemed time wasn't on his side.
Time passed gradually.
The sun began to set, casting orange light across the nearly empty amusement park. People had started trickling out. Soon, only the two witches remained, laughing and running through the attractions as if no one else existed.
Once the sun dipped below the horizon, Finn called the two of them over.
"It's about time. We need to return. The task of mastering the Darkhold is too important to delay."
His tone was serious, devoid of any trace of humor.
Both witches nodded with equal solemnity. They understood his meaning clearly—otherwise, they wouldn't have agreed to return so readily.
With that, the day's entertainment came to an end.
Back in Westview, the Dark Witch immediately resumed her role as teacher, guiding Wanda's studies of the Darkhold. The earlier delay had already been too long.
This wasn't something that could be taken lightly. Missing a short period was manageable. But a prolonged gap would leave her unskilled, untrained in even the fundamentals. That would be no different from never studying at all.
Because of that, they now had to move fast—raising their mastery of chaos magic to its strongest level.
Finn wasn't idle, either. As before, he retreated to the study alone to set up his own magical formation.
Black mist surrounded the chamber, cloaking everything in darkness.
Even if the two witches tried to force their way in, they'd find it nearly impossible.
After ensuring the seals were intact, Finn summoned the prototype of the Dragon Ball he had been working on—an incomplete magical core unlike anything seen on Earth.
But even in its unfinished state, its energy and manifestation had vastly improved from earlier iterations.
"Open," Finn whispered lowly, forming hand signs as tendrils of dense black energy rose from his body. This aura—chaotic, heavy, corrupted—was part of the residual energy he'd extracted from the Dragon Ball. It was the foundation of the Black Aura Array he was now crafting.
Although this corrupted energy helped, fully activating it still came at a great price.
The Dragon Ball functioned as a magical core, and the energy it contained was immense—far more than Finn had estimated. It pulsed with demonic force, distorting the air, warping the light.
If not for Finn's indomitable will, he would have succumbed to it long ago—perhaps even suffered physical or spiritual harm.
Even with the magical circle assisting him, the effort was grueling.
But he didn't stop. He couldn't. Hesitation would only lead to ruin.
"Open!" he snarled again, voice hoarse from the exertion. His hands burned with power as the seal symbols intensified. Complex runes sparked in his palms and flew toward the magical array.
The circle trembled, then spun violently, resonating with unstable power. It felt like the entire construct might rip itself apart at any second.
"Damn it!" Finn shouted.
His entire body was drenched in sweat. He looked haggard, broken—but there was no retreat in his eyes. He knew that if he gave up now, everything he had worked for would be lost.
He clenched his teeth and focused, holding on with every ounce of resolve.
BOOM!
A massive burst of dark light exploded from the circle. Then, a single fracture formed—deep black, unnatural, cutting across the formation like a wound in space. The circle shattered.
Finn collapsed to one knee, panting hard. But he had done it. He had succeeded.
He didn't feel joy—just relief. Because this was only one step. The road ahead was still long.
But he wasn't discouraged.
Drawing on the broken shards of the spell, he began condensing the fragments of the Black Aura Array once more.
He could feel it this time. His soul—his actual soul—was growing stronger, expanding beyond its mortal limits.
This... this was magic power in its purest form.
Though the Black Aura Array wasn't yet complete, it held the seed of true magical might. Once fully refined, it could become a cornerstone for greater enchantments.
Buzz... buzz...
The array formed again, slowly coalescing under his control.
With unwavering focus and unrelenting effort, Finn finally succeeded. The Black Aura Array took shape, hovering in mid-air, swirling with dense black mist like a storm of shadows.
Finn exhaled and reached out with both hands, gripping the array.
Whoosh—
The mist surged into him, flooding his body with arcane power. His soul resonated with it, pulsing brighter and deeper with each second.
Was this the power of the Black Aura Array? Even now, it felt... incomplete.
He frowned. Crafting more powerful spells was still a long way off.
"Dragon Ball," Finn muttered, eyes falling on the artifact resting beside him.
This time, he didn't attempt to use it. The energy inside was far too dangerous. If he tapped into it recklessly, it could overload his body, cripple his spirit—or worse.
He would need to be patient.
For now, his priority was refining the Black Aura Array, sharpening it until it reached its absolute peak. Only then could he use it to truly amplify his soul's power.
Act upon thought. Thought becomes will. Will becomes magic.
Finn resumed his work, steady and calm.
There was no rush. He wasn't arrogant enough to believe he could control everything yet. That would come with time—and power.
