"You should put it inside your storage treasure. It might attract unwanted attention," Antares advised.
Blade nodded and quickly stored the Trident inside his Inventory.
"You should leave now," Antares said.
They all nodded in agreement. Taking the scales once more, Blade and Piaro regained their fishtails, allowing them to move through the water with ease. Valentine followed closely behind as they swam away, leaving Antares behind.
In just half an hour, they emerged from the water, arriving at Kesan Canyon.
"Die!!"
As they surfaced, they witnessed a masked man ruthlessly slaughtering the monstrous mermen.
A Few Minutes Earlier
Grid had come here to acquire Pagma's Sword Dance, and after successfully obtaining it, he was suddenly besieged by the mermen. Just as he fought them off, Blade and the others emerged from the water.
"Huh?" Grid looked at them, confused, before pointing his sword at them. "Who are you?" he asked warily.
"Just passing by," Blade replied as he stepped out of the water. However, the moment Grid saw his fish tail, his eyes widened in shock.
"Damn, a mermaid—no, a merman! Or wait... are you with the mermen? No, are you a Fish-Man?! Fuck, I'm so confused right now!" Grid shouted, his mind spinning from the unexpected sight.
Blade chuckled at his reaction before willing his scales to retract, transforming his fish tail back into his human legs.
"My name is Blade, nice to meet you," Blade said, extending his hand for a handshake.
Grid hesitated for a moment before shaking Blade's hand. "So, you're a player?" he asked.
Blade smirked and pointed at his name tag floating above his head. "What do you think?" he replied.
Grid nodded, accepting the answer, but his curiosity wasn't satisfied. "How did you get a fish tail?" he asked, shifting his gaze to Blade's companions, Piaro and Valentine.
As if on cue, both Piaro and Valentine reverted their fish tails back into legs. However, Grid's eyes widened as they landed on Valentine's barely concealed chest, covered only by seashells. 'Huge!!!' he thought, struggling to maintain composure.
Blade, noticing Grid's reaction, simply replied, "Just a quest item."
Grid nodded absentmindedly, still slightly distracted.
"Let's go," Blade said, turning to Piaro and Valentine. They both nodded in agreement.
Grid just watched them grow and then his gaze went on Mermen drops, he ignored Blade and his party and instead he focused to check his loot.
Before leaving, Blade took out a leather vest and handed it to Valentine. "Wear this," he said. "You're practically walking around half-naked."
Valentine blinked but took the vest without complaint, putting it on over her seashell top.
"Now that's better," Blade said as Valentine simply smiled.
They continued walking, preparing to leave Kesan Canyon, but just as they were about to exit, Piaro suddenly stopped.

"I guess this is where we part ways," he said.
Blade turned to him, surprised. "Are you sure?" he asked.
"I thought you would like to travel with me," he added.
Piaro nodded. "Yes, I would like to, but I have another duty to fulfill. I'm going to stay and guard the mermen who have now entered their monster phase. They are innocent, merely cursed by a demon. Until you can break their curse, I will watch over them so that no one kills them by mistake."
Valentine bowed deeply. "Thank you, Sir Piaro."
Earlier, when Grid was killing the cursed mermen, her heart ached for them, but she hadn't said anything, knowing he was only protecting himself. Now that Piaro had chosen to stay behind and guard them, she was grateful to him.
"It's okay," Piaro said with a kind smile.
Blade nodded in understanding. "I see. Then, I leave them in your care."
With that, Blade and Valentine turned and continued their journey, while Piaro walked back into the depths of Kesan Canyon.
After coming out, Blade first took Valentine to a clothing store to get her proper mage equipment. Her class was magic-oriented, specifically a unique class called Moon Mage.
After some time, she finished selecting her outfit. She chose a violet mage robe, matching the color of her hair, as she felt it made her look even more beautiful.
"Now, can we go?" she asked.
Blade nodded. "Yes, we can," he replied.
They then took a carriage toward their next destination—the Vatican, which was located near the Suaz Mountain. Their journey took an entire day, and by nightfall, they arrived at Rollin Village, a small settlement near the Vatican.
From there, they would have to walk for half a day to finally reach their destination.
"There are Rebecca statues everywhere." Valentine said looking around as Blade nodded,
" indeed there are" he said, as he looked at the continuous notification as he gazed at the beautifully carved Statues,
[ your art stat increased by 15 , after looking at the fine piece of Goddess Rebecca Statue ]
There are many statues of different quality causing his art stat to rise by 36 in total.
There were large and small Rebecca statues in every street, store or house. He could find one or two statues no matter what direction he turned his head. Well, the residents of Rolling seemed to serve Goddess Rebecca.
'It is geographically located near the Vatican, so it makes sense that the Rebecca Church is the main religion of the village...'
He was happy with the unexpected reward he got ' It seems I should watch more art work from now on' he thought inwardly.
