Master, Your Wife Has Become a Super Star Through Fortune-Telling-Chapter 105 - 106: Roommate’s Mom
Su Nian: "Alright, how about this? Get your roommate. Give him this girl’s phone number and have him make the call. You’ll find out the truth."
[Don’t tell me it’s someone his roommate likes.]
[Not necessarily. What if it’s his sister or someone like that?]
[I think it’s his sister too. Anyone would be pissed if their roommate stole their sister.]
Yu Ze ignored the stream comments and nodded. "Okay, I’ll get my roommate to make the call right now."
[Stream it! Stream it!]
[Don’t end the stream! I’m petitioning in blood for you to keep it live!]
[I really want to know the truth, too! What is their relationship?]
Seeing the comments flooding the stream, Yu Ze said, "Don’t worry, everyone. I’m making the call right now."
With that, he called for his roommate.
His voice was tinged with urgency. "Wang An, hurry up and help me make a phone call!"
"Coming, coming! Sheesh, what kind of call needs a young master like me to make it personally!"
The young man came shuffling over, dragging his slippers.
It was the same guy who had leaned over to watch the stream earlier.
Wang An glanced at the phone number and dialed it without a second thought. "Hello?"
"Hello?"
’Why does that voice sound so much like my mom?’ Wang An thought, puzzled.
And soon, the person on the other end of the line recognized his voice too.
"Oh, son! How did you get this number?"
[!!!]
[What? What was that? I didn’t hear it clearly!]
[Son? That guy is her SON?!]
[Whoa, holy crap. My imagination wasn’t wild enough.]
Wang An shot Yu Ze a strange look, about to tell his mom the truth.
But Yu Ze clamped a hand over his mouth and whispered urgently in his ear, "Hang up! Quick!"
Wang An’s eyes nearly rolled back in his head. He nodded frantically, and the moment he could breathe again, he was met with Yu Ze’s threatening glare. "Mom, I can’t talk," he stammered. "Something’s come up. Gotta go."
Once the call ended, Yu Ze slumped down, all the energy draining out of him.
What was this?
The older woman he’d had a crush on for six months turned out to be his roommate’s mom.
The thought of all the sweet nothings he’d whispered, the cringey thirst traps he’d sent, the full-body pics... Yu Ze wanted to die on the spot.
[Oh my god, this is so awkward.]
[Good thing his roommate has no idea what’s going on!]
[No wonder it was impossible for the age gap to be that big! He’s the same age as her son!]
[I’m cringing so hard my toes are trying to build a bunker.]
Yu Ze was shattered. Completely and utterly shattered. His face crumpled, and he wished he could dig a hole right then and there and bury himself in it.
Thinking back on his initial sweetness, his prayers, his shyness... now, the memory was so embarrassing he wanted to just shit all over the floor.
Yu Ze let out a bitter laugh, then caught sight of his roommate’s puzzled expression.
Wang An was genuinely confused. "I don’t even have my mom’s new number. How did you get it?"
Yu Ze: ...
’How did I get it?’
’I was about to become your new dad, that’s how.’
But he managed to force out an excuse.
"The number looked a lot like my sister’s, so I wanted to call and check. I didn’t expect it to be your mom."
[Watching Yu Ze’s face all crumpled up like that... I kinda want to laugh, not gonna lie.]
[LMAO, I CAN’T BREATHE!]
[Yu Ze’s heart is in a million pieces right now, but he still has to put on a brave face.]
"Oh, really? That’s some coincidence."
Wang An didn’t think much of it and turned back to his desk to play his game.
[Some coincidence, alright. He almost became your new dad!]
[Proof that online dating is rarely a good idea!]
[Another poor boy’s heart, broken!]
Just then, a message came in from Wang An’s mom—Yu Ze’s "girlfriend." It was a cute sticker.
It depicted a cute little girl with her head tilted.
Babe, you there?
