Chapter 323: For Them, Nature Created A Loop

[OBREN]

"Which of the Seto brothers is Rania mated to?" Bai Ting asked carefully like he was worried about the answer that he would be getting from Brent.

He knew that the answer wouldn’t change much, and that it wouldn’t stop them from fearing Rania, but he also knew that the answer would determine how alive they would be if ever they managed to come out of Incayon.

It determined a lot and they had to know what to expect, select now that they err not backing down or even giving up on their failed quest.

Perhaps this was their chance at a normal life, but what normal was that?

"Kaisei Chihiro," Brent responded in almost a whisper, like he couldn’t believe the kind of shit they were going to be up against.

Everyone knew that Lycans were super protective, however much they hadn’t been known or seen in years, about the stories told of the most protective and possessive creatures in the history of all the creatures.

Granted, werewolf alphas were possessive and much, but the lycans were over-protective. They protected their beloved with their lives and wouldn’t rest if their beloved were harmed. That was also the reason the goddess hadn’t given them mates.

Because if anything happened to the mate of a Lycan, then the Lycan was allowed to avenge their mates, in the worst of ways and still get away with it, because that was the truth. But then those were the rules made when they were not seen, but what of now?

What if they knew Kaisei Seto and he just happened to be the barbarian of all?

"He can’t be that bad, right? I mean Han Seong is there to help him have a link to his humanity, right?" Bai Ting asked hopefully, not yet getting over the shock of the tooth that was crippling and mauling dear in them like it was the only thing that they could do.

This was some batshit crazy shit, but then what could they do? Bai Ting hoped that there was a reason one twin was the devil and the other east a saint.

However, what no one ever knew was that one twin had two beasts, because he had taken his brother’s beast. And that the saint wasn’t exactly a saint, and he was worse than his brother, especially if his brother was endangered.

Han Seong was always the calm one, but if ever someone posed a threat to Kaia, he would do whatever it took to make sure the worst was known.

Of course, Over the years, Kaia had taken responsibility for everything including Han Seong’s brutal murders, but no one knew that other than just the two brothers.

"Well, it depends on your definition of bad. If Rania accepts Kaisei as her mate, then she will be the first Lycan and they will bear Lycan kids, and the endless cycle will contrite for centuries and lifetimes," Brent said and Luna Park looked at him like he was rubbing salt on their wounds.

"I’m just saying it as it is. That is what we are facing. Let’s just hope that Rania delays the marking, because that is the only way to make sure that Lycans don’t have a direct lineage," Brent said to Luna Park in the hope that everything would be fine.

However, they all knew that it was a long and very desperate shot at reality; and if Rania was twenty-five then she would have already been mated to Kaia or even marked each other.

It wasn’t exactly the best of assumptions, but it was the only thing they could handle at the moment.

It didn’t matter who did what and why.

They had to make ends meet.

"You guys don’t need to worry. We have warlock warriors who are good at black magic. They can easily take down the Lycan brothers and that psycho woman. We will all get what we want from Incayon.

"I wouldn’t be worried if I were you," Nate said and to that, Brent stayed silent.

Seto magic was worse than black magic and just because they had black magic on their side, didn’t mean that they could take out Kaia and Han Seong.

The brothers were cursed by black magic and it was the kind that was meant to hurt them in the worst of ways.

Though right now, this would work for them, because this means that there was a loophole that they could exploit. Perhaps, they could have exploited Rania, but the woman cared for no one other than Dalrae.

Well, everyone in the realm knew never to go after Dalrae, even though Rania had just been a regular wolf. So, what of now when Rania was the first female Lycan?

It was impossible and that was just that made it harder for them to go in there and come out victorious.

They could just hope, right?

That would be able to make everything better for them, yeah?

"And we can count on Han Seong’s spite for spilling blood. Hopefully, he will be able to keep his brother in check for us," Brent said, though the statement sounded ridiculous in his head. If that statement had been true, then Calindra should have survived.

The warriors would have been alive to tell the tales of that day and yet none of them had survived. No one had been left in the battalion and Luna Park was still feeling the pain of her greatest loss as a mother, a wife, and a Luna.

"Let’s get some rest. There is a long day ahead of us," Luna Park said, putting an end to the harmful and demoralizing solutions that they were facing.

They didn’t have a way out and they couldn’t go back. They had to make sure they reached their target, otherwise, no one worth a dime would follow them.

"Hold on. About Incayon. Will we have a portal tomorrow?’ Brent asked just before they could all disperse. He knew they were tired and were going to be sleeping with goodbyes on their tongues, but he wanted to know what their plan of action would be tomorrow.

"If we attack tomorrow, they will be at their strongest. We can take the long road and find them at a later time. It doesn’t matter who we will find. What matters is we complete the mission," Luna Park said and they all agreed with her. 𝘧𝓇ℯℯ𝑤ℯ𝘣𝓃ℴ𝓋𝑒𝑙.𝑐𝘰𝑚

They had a long night ahead of them so they needed to get rest.

They needed to get their morale up, because that was the only way they would be able to encourage their warriors too.

They had to be mentally prepared and find ways of communicating with their teams without discouraging them, even though that was the only thing left for them at this point.

"Great. The long way it is," Nate said and they all nodded in agreement, before dispersing and going back to their teams, most of whom had slept.

And so, for five days and five nights, the revolts made their way to Incayon, making sure to stay clear of the main roads. They may have been many and had a lot on their mind, but they knew they had to deal with their goals.

Luna Park had insisted on the long walk because it would allow them to bond and know each other’s strengths. The warriors were elite so that wasn’t much of an issue. Of course, they took little breaks to rest and spar.

On the dawn of the sixth day, they finally made it to Incayon, only to find the Incayon wolves leading their lives completely unbothered.

"Holy shit, we’re here."
