Mated to A Rival Alpha-Chapter 333: If You Go Low, I Go Lower [1]
[RANIA]
"To quell your anxiety, Yanna is Jungwoo’s brother, funny, right?" Rania teased as she looked at the prisoners that she had gathered. She was aware of how absurd she sounded, but then wasn’t that the truth?
The absurdity of it all was the very reason they had gotten to this point, or wasn’t it that?
"What?" King Seojoon asked as he lied to his queen who was equally surprised. There was just no way that she had a child she didn’t know of.
Of course, she could have assumed that this was her Jungwoo’s twin, but Jungwoo wasn’t a hybrid, so there was just no way that her daughter would be a natural-born hybrid like Yanna.
Everyone who knew Yanna knew she was a hybrid from the moment she was born so this was absurd. 𝒇𝓻𝓮𝓮𝙬𝙚𝒃𝒏𝓸𝙫𝒆𝙡.𝓬𝓸𝒎
But was it really?
Was that the reason they were all shocked while Jungooo, Daehyun, and Yanna stared at each other like they were so many phases of fucked? What the hell would even spin this to be?
It wasn’t like there was much for them to be gambling on at the moment right?
"Impossible. My Junghwa died at birth," Queen Eunbi defended tiredly.
She knew that there wasn’t a thing that would make her believe that’s who had children. It just was possible because all her children were royals and Yanna wasn’t one, so what the fuck was this about?
"Great, now it’s a question of my birth. I thought you brought us here to pass your great judgment on us?
"Or was this just a shit show to prove to people that you had all the cards in your hands?" Yanna asked angrily, raising her voice at Rania for the first time in so long, and Rania wasn’t even surprised.
She had known a stronger Yanna, a woman who could defend herself to the very end, and if she was being honest with herself, Rania was proud of this version of Yanna. She was glad that she had managed to get to this point because she had truly missed her.
"I didn’t. But you stole my mate, you ruined my friendship with my best friend, you are the reason I had to go to war with my family, and more than anything, you are the reason my warriors are busy murdering Drarun warriors in their own land.
"I bet you never had the courage to tell Daddy dearest that you were his daughter when you went to kill his warriors right?" Rania taunted and for the first time, Yanna’s smirk fell off her face.
She had been confident all this time. She had been loyal and trying to get out of the boredom, but as Rania mentioned she was of Drarun decent, and even Jungwoo’s brother, Yanna felt like her whole world had come to a stop.
She was speechless and for a woman who had been ready to gamble everything with her sanity, right now, Yanna was not sure what to feel. She wasn’t sure what to make of the realization and she wished that Rania was bluffing.
Oh but if only; though as she looked at Jungwoo’s face and the vampire King’s face, Yanna knew there had to be a truth to this.
What the hell had she done for the universe to be so cruel to her?
When the hell had she gotten to this point with her family and why the hell had no one told her what the fuck she had been?
"No. No. Noooo!!!" Yanna cried out, as she stumbled, ignoring the noose that was tightening around her neck.
She didn’t care this time.
She had lived her whole life feeling unwanted.
She had been the outcast everywhere and he had been made to believe she was an orphan. For years she had wanted to be like Rania because Kim Rania was lucky and yet all this while she was never alone?
What the hell was going on?
"You’ll kill yourself woman," Rania said as she watched with a sinister smirk on her face.
However, as Kim Rania saw Yanna’s tears freely full from her eyes, as she watched the notorious hybrid cry out in agony at the realization that she had messed so much because she wanted to belong, Rania felt her pain.
Granted, she was never going to forgive Yanna, but she knew what Yanna was feeling.
It was the kind of betrayal that nothing would ever heal, not even the notorious aspect of time.
It was the one thing that she would never be able to get over because there had been a lot of lives lost in her very quest to feel like she belonged.
"It can’t be. Please tell me you’re messing with me, Rania. Please, I’ll take whatever punishment there is for me. I will be your slave forever if I must.
"Tell me you’re just messing with me because I ruined too many lives, please," Yanna begged and Rania felt like she had been backed into a corner.
She felt the grief of the child who had been alone even though she had been with family. The girl who had nothing yet she had everything. She had powerful parents, who would have protected her, forming the monster she had turned out to be.
Yanna Petroval could have had a normal life. She could have been loved. Hell, she could have learned to interact with people and not snatch things from people she thought were way too lucky and needed to share their fates.
It wasn’t fair to her, and Yanna felt like her world was getting wilder.
When the hell had she gotten to this?
"Well, isn’t this a shit show? At least you now know the vampire King is your father. Don’t you wanna know who your mother is? I mean if Jungwoo himself already knows you’re his brother, surely two males are never able to give birth to a child.
"Don’t you want to know why your mother, the werewolf queen, abandoned you to die?" Rania asked and this time, the werewolf King ah had enough. She couldn’t just listen to this anymore.
"Enough!!!" King Seojoon bellowed as he looked at Rania who was having the time of her life.
She had lost so much because of the people here and right now she was getting the first stage of her vengeance. She didn’t care what the hell happened to them or what the fuck went down, because they were into her problem anymore.
The warriors and the pack leaders who had come stared at the royals and the uren herself like there was more than needed to be explained. Of course, even Rania knew that this wasn’t the kind of shit to be aired out in public, but she had been treated well by all the people here.
So the only way to make sure they got what they deserved was if they experienced the shame of it all.
The shame of having a cheating queen and the shame of having gone so wrong with the Lunar trial, the same trial that Rania had been forced to take on because she didn’t exactly have any options with her.
"You should buckle up, Your Royal Highness. I’m just getting started," Rania said with a smirk and Yanna felt her heart sink into her stomach.
