Mated to A Rival Alpha-Chapter 344: Born Without A Heart
[RANIA]
"The same goes for everyone here. I can hear your thoughts; I can tell what you feel and definitely hear you. So, if you so much as try and talk shit about my mate, then you won’t have to worry about her ripping your hearts into shreds.
"I will fuck you up myself," Kaia warned casually like he didn’t just shoot someone in the kidney with a poisoned arrow.
"Shut up, your screaming makes me want to shoot another arrow and this time, I might just shoot one in your heart and make you enjoy the thrill of blood pumping out of your system," Kaia warned again.
Brent instantly shut up despite the fact that he could feel his kidney slowly being eaten away by the poison that Kaia had just hit him with.
He may have been a warlock and a shady one, but his magic was nothing compared to the Seto magic, and that was a lesson that he was constantly learning the hard way.
Perhaps he would find a way to make himself understand that there were always consequences to whatever the fuck was happening but would that be lesson enough?
"As I was saying before you decided to play with fire, will you come clean to them, or should I?" Alpha Kim asked again in a bored tone like he had other places to be.
He looked like he was forcing himself to be here, probably to make sure that other things were on course, but why would he benefit from all this?
He had his disappointment of a daughter standing a few feet away from him.
His wife was dead and he literally had nothing left to work for or look forward to, given that Incayon itself was already in his daughter’s hands.
"Umm," Brent began and Alpha Kim punched him in the stomach, like he didn’t see the error that had gone through and through in Brent’s body.
But even that wasn’t enough to make Brent speak so the alpha decided to say it himself.
After all, he was always going to get things straight, right? But for what?
"You might want to sit down for this, Rania," Alpha Kim said in a neutral voice, as if storming Rania that this wasn’t a point of reconciliation for the both of them.
They both despised each other with everything and there was just no way they would ever come out of this sane. They had been broken by life and even by each other to the point that they were just father and daughter in name.
Well, that could have made sense if Alpha Kim hadn’t publicly disowned his daughter and made her an outcast before everyone else. Perhaps this was them trying to make amends, right?
However, that didn’t matter because Rania wasn’t going to swallow whatever her father was to say, this man had no right to even be here.
"Bold you to assume I want to be listening to you when you don’t know the first thing about being a father. I could kill you like I killed your wife for intruding in my life. Say what you must and leave, or this might turn pretty ugly so fast.
"There is only so much patience I can have, retired alpha Kim," Rania said, making sure not to mention that he was her father.
They all knew that, but goddamn, she wished that her father had trusted her or loved her like every girl out there who was loved by their father. She had gotten nothing from the bond of parenthood and now she was sure she was alone.
"Fair enough," Alpha Kim said to his daughter, not even bothering to start an argument with her.
Perhaps it was because he knew that this was one, he would never be able to win, or maybe it was because no matter what was sent in their direction, they would always be at odds, right?
"Since everyone’s getting their fir punishment for fucking with my little girl’s life, I don’t see why you should be forgiven, Benita," Alpha Kim said.
The silence that followed was so loud that even the other misfits who had been put there resting and even dealing with the prisoners went silent. This couldn’t be real right?
Perhaps the alpha was playing games with his daughter, right?
Perhaps there was just something that the alpha wanted and he was trying to mess them up by doing this, no?
"I don’t even know who you’re talking about. You must be out of your mind, Byungho," Brent said and alpha Kim just let out a sad laugh, one that didn’t reach his eyes.
He was not enjoying this one bit, maybe because it was more of a sentence to him for what had happened or maybe it was the reality that everyone needed to be aware of.
"Well then, perhaps you won’t mind having us cut out your heart, right? Last I heard, there were people who wanted it and were willing to go to the Seto brothers for that heart of yours. I should give them all, no?
"Besides, it should be easier for you to also explain to Han Seong why you killed Bang Chang, the warrior his brother sent him to, right?" Alpha Kim said and instinctively, Kaia stepped forward, making sure to grab the former Incayon alpha by the neck, like this wasn’t the time for such games.
Kaia had seen how distraught his brother had been when Bangchan passed on and it wasn’t something that he ever wanted to think about.
Touching on Bangchan was like touching an old wound that had refused to heal, despite the years and years of nursing that wound.
For the past thousand years, the youngest Seto twin had never gotten an answer as to what had killed the one warlock he loved so much.
It had been a very heartbreaking time for Haruhito when he told his brother that he was going to change his name from Haruhito Seto to Han Seong, since it was the only way, he could remember the man.
Bangchan had loved them when the whole world was against the Seto brothers. He had denied the youngest Seto twin a chance at a normal life, something that Kaia had worked tooth and nail to make a reality.
That had been the first time that Kaia felt like a failure of a brother.
He had been unable to protect the one person who made his brother happy and now as it was, the alpha was claiming that Brent was the one who killed the man who meant everything to his little brother.
"You had better be careful with your words, Kim Byungho, because they will determine whether you live the rest of your days, or if you join your wife, only that it wouldn’t be in the prettiest of ways.
"You need to be very, very careful," Kaia warmed and the alpha looked at him with a blank face as if to tell Kaia that he had nothing left to lose.
Of course, he didn’t.
His daughter didn’t want him.
His people had cast him aside and his wife was dead.
The alpha had nothing to gain from this and he had no quarrels with the Seto brothers, so he didn’t really have a reason to do this.
"You have the invisible string of truth around me, Chihiro. We both know I’m telling the truth and that this man here is actually Benita, the devious of all the warlocks of the old times," Alpha Kim said nonchalantly.
