Chapter 95: Chapter 95

He was this kind of person who was brutal and never really told, took love as a sincere act,

maybe because what he had seen made him this way? I couldn’t help but suddenly want to know more about his situation.

Jaxon’s words piqued my interest, and I found myself drawn to his conversation. "I can’t believe you became such a ladies’ man in this school," I said with a grin. "Why did you always take every girl that came your way so seriously?" I playfully teased him, but he just shook his head.

"Stop mocking me," he said with a smile. "I’ve changed since then, you know. And it’s all thanks to your mom."

I was surprised to hear him say that. "What do you mean?" I asked.

Jaxon went on to explain that he had learned a lot from my mom during his stay with us. He had always thought that his own mother was perfect and had followed in her footsteps, but he had realized that was a mistake. "Your mom is perfect," he said. "And she’s trying her best."

I was touched by his words, but then he dropped a bombshell. "She must have had a reason why she never told you that your dad was alive," he said.

I was stunned. "What do you mean?" I asked. But Jaxon just shrugged and said he didn’t know. I was left with more questions than answers, but I knew one thing for sure: I needed to talk to my mom.

I quickly stood up from the sofa as Jaxon stared at me, confused; " what happened?" He said as I smiled widely before hugging him.

"I think I need to talk to my mom; this is the perfect time to talk to her. I think I had misunderstood her all this time, and she was just trying to protect me." I said boldly.

"Thank you so much for finally telling me this. I now feel so reassured, and I want to talk to her right now." I said to him as I rushed out, I searched the kitchen, but my mom was not there.

I went to her room, and she was not there until I went to the house’s backyard before I saw her watering the garden.

I walked towards her, but just as I was about to make my presence known, I could hear her crying. It shattered my heart into pieces. I must have said words that hurt her badly.

"Mom". I muttered as she turned around and cleaned her tears quickly.

" Why are you here? I thought you were in your room having a conversation with Jaxon. " She said, and I nodded. " I just want to have a minute speech with you."

"What do you want to talk about", she said, and I felt scared. Yes. I wanted those to settle this issue, but it would not be settled so easily.

"Can we go inside the house and talk?" I said to her.

She stared at me for some seconds before speaking.

"Can’t we just talk about it? Here" she said, and after realizing she did not want Jaxon or anyone to hear our conversation, I understood and worked towards her.

"It is fine."

"Let’s speak about it here", I said to her as I walked towards her. I was a bit hesitant but still spoke up.

"I am so sorry, Mom, for acting that way, but to be honest with you, I am so hurt by everything; you hurt me, and I know you are very much aware of it, but that is not what is scaring me the most right now is the fact that he is not just a normal person but a crazy freak who is trying to make life a living hell for me," I said as she gasped in shock.

"I did not want to tell you at first until we saw it physically." I said and I could tell she wasn’t even believing me.

"Do you mean he is a freak? Your dad was never a freak", she said, and I moved closer to her.

"fine. You say he is not a freak, but did you also get to know that he was in jail and just got released? Did you know that?" I said to her as she opened her eyes in shock.

"I never knew about that. He was not the kind of person who would be sent to jail. Are you sure he is the one you told me about?" She said I cannot believe she does not even know him so well.

That means he went to jail just recently. Something must be wrong somewhere.

"You don’t seem to understand what I am telling you and even though you are trying to assure me that he really wasn’t that kind of person, I just want you to know the truth." I said to her as she looked scared and concerned.

"Just tell me everything," she said to me as I nodded, even though I really wanted to tell her everything I couldn’t help but be scared and recalling everything that happened it made me even sacred to recall anything.

"All these scars you see on my body." I said to her while fighting my tears, as I pulled up the sleeve of my shirt only to reveal the one thing I was hiding from my mom as she opened her eyes in shock. 𝐟𝕣𝗲𝕖𝕨𝗲𝐛𝗻𝗼𝐯𝗲𝚕.𝗰𝚘𝐦

"How can that be, how can you be torn this way.. This is just so unacceptable!! Who did this to you?" she asked as she held my hands in hers and started weeping.

I know she would be more hurt if I told her but I told her anyway. "Dad did this to me." I said and she fell to the ground And Jaxon rushed towards us.

"How could he do this to his own child?" she yelled with tears flowing from her eyes as mine also poured out.

"Mom, did you know what dad looks like now?" I asked.
