Max Level is 100? I Can Upgrade All skill s to Lv99999!-Chapter 155 --Deadly Zone? Reshaping
Audrey took a deep breath, trying with all her might to calm her racing emotions.
As a Treasure Hunter, she was very well aware that losing her composure in this place would only lead to death.
Her knowledge of the Dark Maze ran deep, and she fully understood just how cruel and unforgiving the rules of this place could be.
On the other side, Caelan appeared completely at ease.
He raised a hand lightly, making a casual gesture as if nothing mattered.
"Audrey, don’t be so tense," he said calmly. "Maybe this is actually a good thing for us."
He continued with a relaxed tone. "Even though we might encounter some small troubles within the Four Deadly Zones, stronger monsters bring higher rewards."
"For us, isn’t this the most efficient way to farm loot?" he asked, his expression calm and confident.
Audrey’s face twisted into a smile that was far worse than crying.
"If that’s the case, Mr. Caelan, please protect me!" she pleaded nervously.
"You know that I’m only a Treasure Hunter. I have almost no combat abilities at all!"
Caelan merely nodded in response, unfazed.
"Don’t worry," he said softly. "With me here, no monster will be able to harm you."
Outwardly, he appeared very confident in his own strength.
But in truth, Caelan’s mind was quietly alert and on edge.
He had a sense that being transported into the Four Deadly Zones this time might not have been accidental.
It might very well have been arranged deliberately by someone.
Yet this thought was only a hunch.
He had no idea who could be targeting him.
Nor did he know what kind of plans were being made behind the scenes.
Meanwhile, Audrey felt slightly relieved after hearing Caelan’s words.
Having someone as powerful as Caelan by her side eased the weight in her chest.
Despite his youthful appearance, he was, in fact, the vice commander of the Ironclad Legion, a true powerhouse.
Caelan had also made up his mind.
The potential mastermind had yet to reveal themselves, so worrying now was pointless.
All they could do was respond to whatever came their way.
"Audrey, check if there are any high-value targets nearby," he instructed.
He had already entered a state of focused farming, assessing possible loot and threats.
Audrey, after a brief moment of surprise, activated her Treasure Sense to detect valuable items in the surrounding area.
The Treasure Hunter class was indeed unique and exceptional.
Even in a complex and dangerous environment like this, Audrey could precisely locate treasures hidden deep within.
"I’ve found some!" she reported. "If we follow this path and head northwest, there are several treasure caches."
"However, the energy fluctuations over there are intense," she added cautiously. "There must be powerful monsters guarding the entrance."
"Moreover, their strength is likely over eight stars," she said with concern, glancing at Caelan.
With her own abilities, Audrey could barely make accurate judgments against monsters above seven stars.
A small pang of unease crept into her heart.
She had no way of knowing exactly how strong Caelan was, nor whether he could handle such formidable foes.
After hearing her explanation, Caelan’s response was calm and measured.
"Don’t worry. Lead the way," he said simply.
Audrey paused for a moment, stunned by his words.
Then a slight sense of relief settled in her chest.
Caelan’s confidence in his own abilities reassured her deeply.
Confidence like this was a good thing, a truly positive sign.
It meant that her own chances of surviving would be much higher.
This was the true posture of a strong individual.
Even when facing an eight-star monster, he remained composed and collected.
Caelan followed closely behind Audrey as they moved toward the hidden treasures.
They passed several forks in the maze, navigating carefully.
For a moment, Audrey thought that all was calm and peaceful.
Then, suddenly, the ground beneath them trembled violently.
The next instant, the entire Dark Maze shook as if an earthquake had struck its very foundations.
Audrey felt the sensations of extreme weight and weightlessness wash over her repeatedly.
"This... the maze is reshaping?" she whispered in shock.
"But why? It’s not even the scheduled reshaping time!" she muttered to herself.
Her question remained unanswered.
Caelan had never been here before, so he could not provide any explanation.
"Does this affect your abilities?" he asked suddenly, breaking the tense silence.
Audrey was taken aback by the concern in his voice.
She quickly shook her head.
"The Treasure Hunter class is unique," she explained. "I can sense the precise locations of treasures." 𝕗𝚛𝚎𝚎𝐰𝗲𝗯𝗻𝚘𝚟𝚎𝗹.𝕔𝐨𝕞
"No matter how the maze shifts or changes, the positions of the treasures will remain completely unaffected," she added.
Caelan nodded in acknowledgment.
Just as Audrey was about to take another fork toward their destination, Caelan suddenly stopped.
He examined the walls surrounding them carefully.
The surfaces were coated in a thick layer of obsidian.
Even in the dim light of the Dark Maze, the obsidian reflected faint glimmers.
"Do you think... if we broke through the wall and went straight, it would be faster?" he asked casually.
Audrey froze in disbelief at his words.
Caelan... are you serious right now? she thought.
Do you even realize what you just suggested?
If the walls were easy to break, the Dark Maze would have long since been cleared.
The outer layer of obsidian was exceptionally hard.
Within, massive Abyssal Energy had been concentrated and reinforced.
Even a ten-star awakener would struggle to break through it.
Moreover, breaking the wall would expend enormous energy.
For a maze as vast as the Dark Maze, such an effort would be pointless.
"Mr. Caelan, don’t joke! These walls are more than just obsidian," Audrey exclaimed.
"The inner layers have been reinforced with Abyssal Energy. They are almost impossible to penetrate!"
Caelan stroked his chin thoughtfully, genuinely curious if he could cut through it.
He gripped his sword and prepared to test his strength.
Suddenly, a loud cry for help rang out from not far away.
"Help! Someone, please save me!"
The voice belonged to an eight-star awakener, apparently of a guardian-type class.
But judging from the state of his equipment and body, he was far beyond simply being desperate.
His armor was almost completely destroyed.
A dagger had pierced his abdomen, and blood flowed freely from the wound.
Caelan did not immediately rush to assist.
Instead, he activated his Eye of Insight.
A faint frown appeared on his face.
Was someone trying to manipulate events against him?
