Medical and Martial God-Chapter 213: Since Debut, No One Can Take a Single Move from Me
Lv Liang and Li Yuefeng’s expressions turned incredibly ugly.
An Dongye’s strength was also beyond their expectations. The middle-aged man was an Eighth Grade Grandmaster, yet he had been taken out with a single kick by such a young and beautiful girl. Lv Liang and Li Yuefeng suddenly realized they had underestimated An Dongye.
"Does the Xiong Family only have this one piece of trash in the Crystal Palace?" Ye Xiu asked Lv Liang disinterestedly. "If there are more, call them all out. If not, An Dongye and I are going for barbecue and beer."
Lv Liang’s embarrassment turned to rage, as Ye Xiu was clearly mocking him in public.
However, before he could speak, a furious shout echoed through the hall. "Audacious!"
Hearing this voice, Lv Liang grinned. The big shot from the Xiong Family who oversaw the Crystal Palace had finally shown himself.
Ye Xiu and the others turned toward the sound, seeing an exceptionally robust man of about sixty walking toward them. He was nearly two meters tall with a square face, thick eyebrows, a large mouth, and round, glaring eyes. His build was like a steel tower; he looked like a shaved bear.
Even before the man arrived, an overwhelming and domineering aura washed over them.
This was the Great Grandmaster of the Xiong Family!
Xiong Wu!
"Kid, you’re done for!" Lv Liang said smugly. "The man coming over is Xiong Wu, one of the four elders of the Xiong Family. His three older brothers are all War Gods. And while he is a Great Grandmaster, his strength is nearly that of a War God. The man An Dongye kicked earlier was his son. Now that he’s here, you’re as good as dead!"
The surrounding gamblers were shocked to hear that Xiong Wu was a Great Grandmaster—and one whose strength was nearly that of a War God at that. They all silently concluded that Ye Xiu and An Dongye were doomed. In their minds, a Great Grandmaster was already a supreme expert at the pinnacle of the Ancient Martial Circle, let alone one whose strength approached the level of a War God.
"Go on and laugh," Ye Xiu said. "Laugh while you still can."
"You..." Lv Liang fumed, hissing venomously, "just you wait! You’re a dead man!"
At this moment, Xiong Wu walked over. "Who called my son trash?" he boomed, his voice like a clap of thunder as he scanned the crowd with his large, glaring eyes.
His sheer presence and volume were enough to intimidate everyone present, except for Ye Xiu. An Dongye quietly moved behind Ye Xiu; she was no match for Xiong Wu.
"Fourth Master, it was him!" Lv Liang pointed at Ye Xiu.
Xiong Wu’s gaze immediately fell on Ye Xiu. He strode over until he was looming over him. "Kid, was it you who called my son trash?"
At one meter eighty tall, Ye Xiu felt downright diminutive next to the towering Xiong Wu. This sensation annoyed him, and what annoyed him even more was the pressure Xiong Wu was exuding, which seemed to lock onto him.
"I didn’t call your son trash," he replied coldly. "I said everyone in the Xiong Family is trash."
HISS!
Everyone in the crowd gasped, completely stunned. They had all assumed Ye Xiu would kneel and beg for mercy after learning Xiong Wu’s identity and power. Instead, he had brazenly confronted him.
Is this kid tired of living?
"What an arrogant brat. Not bad, I like your style," Xiong Wu said, looking at Ye Xiu with appreciation, his voice gruff. "But you hit my son, and I can’t let that go, or people will think the Xiong Family is an easy target. Tell you what, I’ll give you three moves. After three moves, I’ll take your life."
"Three moves?" Ye Xiu chuckled. "Ever since I made my debut, I haven’t met anyone who could take a single move from me. You’d better not hold back. Just give me your best shot."
"You really are something else, kid." Xiong Wu chuckled, amused by his sheer arrogance.
Lv Liang and the others also burst into laughter, staring at Ye Xiu as if he were an idiot.
"Kid, the only reason you’ve never met anyone who can take one of your moves is because you’ve only ever fought weaklings," Xiong Wu declared. "My power is beyond your imagination. The moment I strike, you will know the meaning of despair."
BANG!
Ye Xiu’s leg shot out, kicking Xiong Wu square in the face. "Damn it," he muttered. "Why does no one ever believe the truth? You always have to force my hand."
As they watched Xiong Wu get sent flying backward, so fast it seemed sparks were grinding off his heels, Lv Liang and everyone else were left completely dumbfounded.
A single kick sent a Great Grandmaster flying? And not just any Great Grandmaster, but one whose power approached that of a War God! Is that something only a War God could do? Could this kid be a War God? Impossible! Absolutely impossible! It must be because Xiong Wu was caught off guard. That must be why Ye Xiu sent him flying.
And so, everyone stared at Xiong Wu, who had been thrown a great distance before slamming into a wall and slumping to the ground. They waited for him to get up in a rage and charge over to beat Ye Xiu to a pulp.
However, a minute passed. Then two. Five minutes went by.
Xiong Wu remained on the ground as if he’d fallen asleep. He didn’t even stir.
A croupier ran over to check and shouted, "Young Master Lv, Fourth Master has fainted!"
HISS!
Everyone in the casino gasped.
He knocked out a Great Grandmaster with a single kick?
"You... you... you... are you a War God?" Lv Liang asked Ye Xiu in horror.
The others stared at Ye Xiu in shock, their faces etched with disbelief. He was just too young. Even with the face mask and baseball cap, it was obvious he was a young man.
"Great Grandmasters aren’t so tough after all," Ye Xiu said with a cold laugh, ignoring Lv Liang’s question. "You can call the Xiong Family’s three War Gods now."
Lv Liang didn’t call the Xiong Family’s three War Gods. In his mind, War Gods were unkillable. Even if he called them, they wouldn’t be able to kill Ye Xiu either. But if the Xiong Family’s three War Gods found out he had provoked a War God-level enemy for them, he would likely be beaten to death on the spot.
Lv Liang dropped to his knees before Ye Xiu and pleaded for his life. "Sir, I was blind and failed to recognize Mount Tai! Please, be the bigger man and forgive my foolishness. Spare me!"
"It’s not impossible for me to spare you, but you’ll have to answer a few of my questions," Ye Xiu said.
"Please, ask away," Lv Liang responded, overcome with gratitude.
"When did this casino open, and how did I not know about it?" Ye Xiu asked.
Lv Liang answered without a moment’s hesitation. "The casino has been open for three years. It used to be backed by the Mo Family of Jin Ye City. Back then, confidentiality was extremely strict. Gamblers could only get in through a trusted introduction and were forbidden from telling anyone, or they would face retaliation from the Mo Family."
Ye Xiu nodded, understanding now. "So why is it public now?" he asked.
"After the Mo Family was mysteriously wiped out, I gave their shares to the Xiong Family," Lv Liang explained. "The Xiong Family told me there was no need to be secretive, so I went public. It’s only been a couple of days."
"Isn’t the Xiong Family afraid of Qing Luan shutting down the casino and the Crystal Palace?" Ye Xiu asked.
"The patriarch of the Xiong Family, Xiong Ba, said that Qing Luan wouldn’t dare to shut down the Crystal Palace," Lv Liang said.
"Why? Where does the Xiong Family get that confidence?" Ye Xiu asked.
"I don’t know!" Lv Liang shook his head.
Ye Xiu frowned. For the Xiong Family to be so bold, they must have a trump card, something that makes even Qing Luan hesitate. But what could it be?
