Chapter 2144: Chapter 2121: Stay Alive

There won’t be much time available, Mario’s subordinates are not useless; the diversion tricks won’t buy much time, so Number Thirteen must hurry.

Number Thirteen took out a set of clothes from the cabinet, but there was a problem: the owner of these clothes was a chef, and even if the chef wasn’t a fat guy, he certainly wouldn’t be too skinny, so for Number Thirteen, these clothes were a bit too big.

He pulled out a white shirt and a pair of trousers. After glancing around the room, he rummaged through the drawers and found a very small pair of scissors.

He poked several small holes in the clothes he was going to wear, then cut a few strips off one piece of clothing. Number Thirteen threaded the strips through the holes, and after tying them tight, a piece of clothing that looked very fitting from the front was born.

Number Thirteen had to waste precious time doing this because running around naked was too easy to be discovered, and running around in overly baggy clothes was a bit better, but still not a good option. Spending two minutes to get dressed would at least not attract too much attention.

Putting on the clothes, Number Thirteen slipped on a pair of similarly oversized leather shoes. Then, after pocketing the chef’s phone, he pushed open the door.

With a gun in hand, he casually placed it behind his back, walking calmly and slowly towards Mario’s mansion. Entering through the side door used by staff without encountering anyone, he easily got inside.

Number Thirteen didn’t know where Gao Yang was, and Mario’s house was too large. However, generally speaking, a house owner would not place an important hostage in an ordinary room, and for interrogations, it wouldn’t be too close to his bedroom unless he’s a psycho.

Number Thirteen was very familiar with the residences of such wealthy people. After a brief glance, he began slowly advancing along one of the corridors of the mansion.

There wouldn’t be surveillance inside the house; no one likes to live in a house full of cameras, so Number Thirteen wasn’t worried about being caught on surveillance.

The place where Gao Yang was held needed to be searched, but while Number Thirteen was still searching, he suddenly heard chaotic footsteps outside and someone shouting loudly.

"He’s back! The escaped one didn’t leave at all; he’s returned here. Immediately increase protection for the Boss, start a full search, and examine every inch of the ground carefully, quickly!"

Number Thirteen was very disappointed; he had only managed to gain less than five minutes, and that time was too short.

If you can’t become Superman, can’t turn into a super warrior, then stay useful and await the opportunity.

Number Thirteen immediately gave up rescuing Gao Yang. He pulled the gun from behind, quickly identified the direction, took off his shoes, and rushed out.

He encountered no obstacles along the way, and soon found the place where he had just been held.

Slowly approaching, he found no one outside the door. Number Thirteen gently made his way to the door, then reached out to suddenly pull it open, loudly speaking in Italian: "Is there a situation here."

Inside the room, there was only one guard holding a gun facing Yake and Rafael. Without turning his head at the sound of Number Thirteen, he shouted loudly: "No, very..."

Not waiting for the guard to finish speaking, Number Thirteen grabbed his neck from behind with one hand, pinched his chin with the other, and with a sudden twist, snapped the guard’s neck, dropping him to the ground.

After slowly laying the guard on the ground, Number Thirteen quickly rummaged the guard’s body.

Rafael was ecstatic, having never expected Number Thirteen to turn back to rescue them.

Rafael didn’t understand what was happening, but Yake had a grim face and said: "Can’t find the Boss?"

Number Thirteen whispered: "No chance."

At this moment, even Number Thirteen, who always had a poker face, looked frustrated and lowly said: "No key, F**k!"

Without a key, they could only use something else to unlock the handcuffs. Number Thirteen searched for something useful, but at that moment, someone outside shouted loudly: "Kesen, Kesen!"

Yake whispered: "No time, use the gun!"

Using a gun to shoot off the handcuffs would mean immediately giving away their position. Number Thirteen didn’t hesitate, aimed the gun at the handcuffs on Yake’s foot, but Yake urgently said: "Take Rafael!"

"He’s useless."

Number Thirteen calmly said, to which Yake resolutely replied: "It’s my mistake. In the name of our good times together, I’m begging you."

Number Thirteen fired two shots at the handcuffs on Rafael’s feet, and once Rafael could stand, he took another shot at the handcuffs on Rafael’s hands.

Rafael stood, picked up the dead guard’s gun, and started to shoot at the handcuffs holding Yake. But Number Thirteen suddenly pushed Rafael, pointed to the window, and said: "Jump!"

It only took three seconds to shoot off Yake’s handcuffs, just three seconds, but Number Thirteen wouldn’t even waste those three seconds. In an instant, Rafael finally felt anger towards Number Thirteen.

Number Thirteen ignored him and left Yake. Rafael understood because there really was no other way, but at this point, given the situation, he couldn’t accept not taking Yake along.

Bodyguards and soldiers are completely different; Rafael had no experience dealing with bodyguards, but Number Thirteen had spent his life besting bodyguards.

Number Thirteen didn’t bother explaining to Rafael. He forcefully dragged Rafael, and once again, quickly jumped out the window.

Upon landing, Number Thirteen rolled, stood up, aimed his gun, and immediately fired a shot right between the eyes of a bodyguard who had just darted out from a corner.

But Rafael didn’t follow.

Number Thirteen didn’t wait, didn’t hesitate, didn’t deliberate; he dashed directly towards the wall, swiftly running in the direction he had escaped earlier.

Rafael grabbed the gun and went to Yake’s side, lowering his head to shoot off the handcuffs on Yake’s feet. At this moment, Yake, with a look of despair and rage, shouted: "Idiot! Bastard! You’ve wasted the last chance; I should’ve left myself knowing you were this stupid!"

Rafael fired at the handcuffs on Yake’s hands, then, as he lowered his head to shoot Yake’s feet, Yake grabbed his gun, quickly dodged, then threw it on the ground, yelling: "Get down, hands up! Stay alive, there’s a chance!"

Rafael was completely bewildered, but Yake had already discarded their biggest asset, the submachine gun, threw it on the ground, and raised his hands.

Sitting in the chair, Yake reached out and forcefully dragged Rafael to the ground. At this point, someone had already rushed into the room, and Rafael looked desperately at the window, only to find it blocked.

"Don’t shoot!"

Rafael, with hands on the ground, heard Yake’s shout. Then a foot swiftly expanded before his eyes, and with a loud bang, darkness fell over him as he lost consciousness.
