Mesugaki Tank Enters The Academy-Chapter 652: Apostle (4)
The monster bared its chest and roared.
One step forward from my current position.
Then, counting silently to 3.5 seconds, I thrust my shield forward, and the monster's massive arm, now many times larger, lunged toward me.
"Clang!" The clear sound rang out again.
The monster’s center collapsed, creating a gap in its form.
I took advantage of the opening and, from the ground up, I crawled over its body with ice.
"Kraaagh!"
"You look like a monster, but you're pathetic inside♡ You can’t even withstand this much?♡"
Its red, glowing eyes locked onto me, and just as they did, the monster's claws, which had been sprawling across its body, shot toward me.
I had anticipated this pattern and had already adjusted my position, so there was no need for Nevira to worry.
I kept my shield raised and dashed forward.
As I approached the monster, I took a step back just in time to dodge its two swipes.
I struck its exposed head with my weapon, then backed off.
Perhaps it had been stuck underground for too long, but this monster lacked intelligence compared to any other enemies I’d faced before.
The game’s knowledge applied so perfectly that it was almost awkward.
If this continues...
No, better not to speak. There’s no benefit in saying anything foolish.
<At this rate, victory will come easily.>
‘Aagh! Grandpa, how can you say that!’
<...But it’s true, isn’t it?>
‘Even if it’s true, there are things you shouldn’t say!’
I scolded Grandpa in my mind, but the words I spoke didn’t disappear.
The flag was raised, and the damned idiot had come excitedly to claim it. The cave was filled with an ominous energy.
"Oooooh! Agras!"
The monster’s body swelled up. It didn’t look like much had changed in its appearance, but the red-eyed markings and the oppressive aura surrounding it told me that the boss had definitely grown stronger.
"Ugh♡ That disgusting smell♡"
I spread divine energy around me, neutralizing the power of Agras.
As I did, I thought about the changes that would occur when the second phase, which hadn't existed before, began.
"How much solace have you given yourself in this cave?♡"
I taunted it, but the rationality etched in its glowing red eyes didn’t seem to falter.
When I closed my eyes and opened them again, the monster’s form had vanished.
A chill ran through me, and I instinctively raised my shield. The first shock hit, and my body was thrown into the air.
The monster shot its claws toward me as I was airborne, but I blocked its approach with a divine barrier and landed back on the ground.
"You’re weak! Little brat!"
I had started to grow irritated by not being able to wake up the fairies.
I could tell that if I let my emotions go too far, my focus would soon slip, but I could hold out until then.
"You’re the same! Loser’s lackey!"
Ugh, damn it.
Something rose up from the ground where Nevira had been standing.
A loud explosion rang out.
"I’m fine!"
Amidst the gray smoke, I could see Nevira. The magic barrier protecting her had cracked but had still managed to defend her.
"Look ahead!"
But that barrier didn’t protect me, since my focus had shifted.
A heavy shock.
My body was sent flying somewhere.
The sound of the monster’s laughter and Nevira’s scream.
Grandpa’s shout.
I landed in mid-air and, grimacing, I began to heal the wounds on my body.
The time spent rolling around while fighting Rasha was finally paying off.
Even in sudden situations, my body instinctively reacted.
Haah, but this is getting troublesome.
From now on, that monster will focus on Nevira, and every time it does, my attention will be drawn to her.
It’s hard to completely ignore Nevira. If the monster keeps targeting her, it will be dangerous.
What should I do? How should I hold out each time its rationality slips?
- Shall I help?
Following the voice that whispered in my ear, I turned my head and saw the small fairy perched on my shoulder.
"Chicken coop?"
- Heh, you’re not calling me queen anymore? How sad.

The Fairy Queen rubbed her eyes playfully, but the smile on her lips was impossible to hide.
- Don’t glare at me like that. I came here to help you, you know?
When she clapped her hands, the fairies that had been asleep above my head one by one raised their heads.
At the same moment, the monster charged, but this time, the situation was different.
- Ugh!? What’s that?!
- Gross!
- Go away!
The fairies’ vision and mine overlapped. The third-person view I’d seen beyond the monitor.
In it, I was wearing a wonderfully beautiful smile.
For a brief moment, the pure sound that had been lost returned to fill the cave.
I stuck out my tongue as I looked at the monster’s face, filled with confusion.
Did you think that just because I spared you a little, you were something?
Not at all.
From the beginning until now, you’ve always been the same pathetic boss.
I swung my mace, packed with strength, and the monster’s massive body flew far away, slamming into the wall.
As I glanced sideways at the sparkling Queen’s eyes, she let out a small cough.
- Haah. I’m really starting to fall for you.
"Tired of the loser already? Can't even handle the Night God’s duties?"
- Oh my. I have so much to brag about in that department...
With a cold glare, I watched the Queen clear her throat.
- Young lady, don’t think that only the Goddess is watching your footsteps. I’m always cheering for you.
"...Creepy. Are there really that many pedophiles like you?"
- Yes. More than you think.
The Fairy Queen disappeared after saying she’d show me a magnificent scene.
She must have known from the beginning that I had returned.
Her lack of involvement until now must have been because I didn’t want it.
I wonder if the Fairy Queen’s dark side comes from the influence of the darkness.
Shrugging, I swung my mace toward the side.
Then the monster, as if it had flown into the mace, crashed face-first into it and rolled forward.
"Haah!♡ Are you cleaning up?♡ Though I don’t think your disgusting smell will go away."
The monster, now trying to target others instead of me, was trying to plan some sort of ambush.
The creature, lurking in the corner, scheming something sinister — it was all meaningless.
Even if I didn’t focus, my body naturally reacted.
The years spent behind the monitor became ingrained, and my movements followed suit.
I was faster, tougher, and could now use multiple patterns together, but in the end, the monster’s actions were still the same.
That meant it couldn’t pose a real challenge.
I swung my mace down again after watching the monster tumble to the ground, retreating from me.
Not long ago, this beast was threatening to kill me, but now it was retreating, backing away from the challenge.
"Pfft♡ You’re backing off from a girl like me?♡ You really don’t have any guts!"
Perhaps it didn’t want to see its limbs crushed into oblivion.
The power of Agras surged around me, but all that dark energy was quickly dispersed by the divine power surrounding me.
The darkness that had filled the cave began to dissipate.
Light, which seemed to have never existed in this underground place, now began to seep through.
As I stood in the center, I became the sun, shining light into the world.
"Hahaha! So pathetic. Your apostles must be better at handling power than you, huh?"
It looks like you need to switch roles now. You’d be better off living on the Pope’s leash.
Don’t worry. Soon enough, both of you will be crying in the same place.
To finish the job, I stepped forward and prepared to deliver the final blow. The monster, once trembling, suddenly grabbed its own neck.
"For the end."
This time, I raised the flag.
I quickly dashed backward and, with a blink, lifted Nevira into my arms, tearing apart both the anti-gravity scroll and the explosion scroll.
"Wait! What happens if you mix those two?"
"Bite down on it. If you dirty me with your blood and saliva, I’ll torment you until you’re on the brink of death."
Without waiting for her to respond, the gravity disappeared, and we shot into the air as an explosion erupted beneath us.
What happens when explosions happen under bodies floating in midair?
They’re launched!
The dungeon, now without a master, collapsed as debris rained down from the crumbling cave. As I looked down from a distance, I could see the writhing tentacle-like limbs rising in the chaos.
"Ugh! Gross! If I get caught by that, I think the game over screen would be rated 'adult only'!"
In reality, I'd be crushed between those things, but that’s not a result I would want either!
"Lackey! Accelerate!"
"I don’t even know anymore!"
Nevira’s magic sent gusts of wind from below, propelling us upwards.
A real magician is different! We can already see the light above us!
Not long after, I was looking down at the landscape of the surface. I was mentally praising Nevira when I suddenly felt my body continue to rise uncontrollably, my eyes widening in shock.
"I’ve told you to die alone, how many times!? This obsession is creeping me out!? You perverted lesbian!"
"You’re the one who gave me the task! And I’m not a pervert! I like men!"
Just as we neared the hole in the middle of the city, our flight came to a halt.
Now, it was time for the fall.
"Kyaaaaah!"
"Wow!"
"Faster!"
"Faster, faster!"
Nevira, who had been screaming, unable to focus on magic, and the fairies, laughing with excitement, looked at each other. I couldn’t help but let out a wry smile and turned my gaze downward.
The monster, now completely out of control, had crawled through the hole.
Haah. It’s really persistent.
In these situations, most of the lesser monsters would disappear within two minutes.
<In a way, isn’t this a good thing? You got the grand spectacle you wanted.>
‘Yeah, I guess. It’s not bad.’
I had planned to cause a ruckus from the start, so it wasn’t a bad way to end things.
A glorious finish wouldn’t be a bad way to wrap it up.
After throwing Nevira into the air, I raised my mace.
My first miracle.
The heroic story I reached with Grandpa.
A knight raised his mace, and a sun rose in that place.
"Die already!"
The miracle of the Great God delivered hope to the earth.
