MIGHT AS WELL BE OP-Chapter 1043: Von Bryan-4
Bryan’s eyes widened with pure shock as he saw Anthony’s last text. He couldn’t believe what he had just read. The man, the myth, the god, was coming over to the Dragon Domain, a statement that carried far more weight than ordinary words could ever express.
’He was really coming over to hang out,’ Bryan thought to himself. He had guessed it, but the thought had seemed too absurd due to Anthony’s current battle prowess. But Bryan seemed to forget that Anthony was just a twenty-year-old human child, at least on the surface, someone who still retained fragments of normalcy despite everything.
Although Anthony was mentally over fifty years old, he loved hanging out and enjoying his surroundings once in a while. Especially after every big battle, each one deserved some relaxation in one way or the other, a brief moment of peace after chaos.
So, while others entered seclusion, he would enjoy himself with his old friends, choosing leisure over endless grinding, at least for the moment.
Von Bryan’s calm heart immediately started beating again, his thoughts churning with different scenarios, each one more intense than the last. After a moment of overthinking again, he shot up from his bed. He had to inform the Emperor, his Father. Anthony wasn’t any normal visitor, he had to report this without delay.
Although Anthony was simply coming to see him as a friend... maybe as an acquaintance or colleague, it didn’t matter, he still had to inform his Father. After all, he still had his duties as the Crown Prince to attend to, responsibilities that could not be ignored.
With that, he quickly rose from his bed as he ran towards the door, but the moment he was about to rush out in haste, he stopped abruptly. Anthony had said he was arriving in an hour, there was still enough time; there was no need to run across the hallway and building in such a frantic manner. He was still a prince, after all.
With the grace of royalty, he opened his door and walked out with calm steps and a composed gaze, although his beating heart betrayed this outward calm as anticipation swelled uncontrollably within him. As he walked, he gazed at his phone. Anthony had stopped texting, but he was now tempted to give Rider, Bringer, and Tiara this information so they too could come to the Dragon Domain as soon as possible within the hour.
But he didn’t. Anthony hadn’t given him permission to do that. If Anthony wanted or needed their presence, surely he would text them too. Besides, just as Anthony had texted him, the human might have texted the others as well.
With that, his phone vanished into his space ring, disappearing seamlessly.
The building he was currently in was his own. Although they all shared the same estate, the First Prince, his elder brother, he, the Crown Prince, and the Emperor all had separate buildings within the estate, each one spanning vast distances. Each of them had their own maids, guards, and everything required to function independently. So at the moment, he was heading to his Father’s building, which was situated a few kilometers away.
Stepping outside the building, maids bowed in his direction, but he ignored all of them. With a thought, his Dragon Wings appeared behind his back; they were wide, massive, and golden, radiating majesty. With another thought, he shot into the sky in a blur of golden movement, slicing through the air with immense speed.
Although at the S rank people could naturally fly, the Dragon race still used their wings to fly even if they didn’t need to use them. Their Dragon pride compelled them to do such things. Although it had its advantages, the natural flight that they had, combined with their wings, significantly boosted their speed, making them even more formidable.
Within moments, Bryan arrived before his Father’s castle. He landed with a deft touch, his wings vanishing into his back as he stepped into the building with calm steps, his composure returning. 𝕗𝚛𝚎𝚎𝐰𝗲𝗯𝗻𝚘𝚟𝚎𝗹.𝕔𝐨𝕞
"WE GREET THE CROWN PRINCE!!"
Various booming voices echoed through the walls, alerting everyone of Bryan’s arrival, but he ignored every single one as he walked forward. Despite being in a subtle hurry, his steps and grace remained at their peak as everyone bowed in reverence to royal blood.
As Bryan walked, soon, a man appeared before him. He wore a black robe that seemed to contradict yet perfectly match and attune with his white scales. The man had two thick, white, beautiful horns extending from his head, and his eyes were sagely, as though he had lived eons and seen things no one else had witnessed.
Within the Dragon Domain, he was known as the Dragon Emperor’s personal butler and right-hand man, but outside of that, he was known as the most knowledgeable Dragon within the Dragon Domain, as this particular Dragon had served a whopping total of five Dragon Emperors.
Iserios Von Deathwrath, the current Emperor, was the fifth.
Nobody knew how old the man was, or even his true Dragon name. The information on him was simply too scarce, and he was regarded as one of the greatest mysteries of the Dragon Domain, an existence shrouded in quiet enigma.
He was simply called Right.
Right, because he was always right. Besides that name, he wasn’t called by anything else.
"I greet the Crown Prince," Butler Right said as he bowed gently, his voice ancient, old, and deep, yet his vitality remained as though he could live to see and serve five more Dragon Emperors without faltering.
"Good morning, Butler Right," Bryan replied and greeted. Although he could ignore every other Dragon, he couldn’t ignore the man before him. After all, this man would become his right-hand man when he took over the Dragon Domain whenever his father stepped down, making him an indispensable figure.
"Where is His Majesty?" Bryan asked with a calm tone, his voice steady despite the urgency within.
"He is within the Throne Room at the moment," Butler Right replied without hesitation.
Bryan simply nodded and headed towards the Throne Room without another word. Butler Right followed behind with a steady gaze as he noticed Bryan’s underlying haste but chose not to comment on it, maintaining his usual composed silence.
Arriving at the Throne Room, a huge door stood imposingly before him. Bryan could feel his Father’s immense presence just by standing outside, an overwhelming aura that pressed against his senses. At the door, two guards stood. The moment they saw Bryan, they bowed and greeted him, and even greeted Butler Right with equal respect.
Although just a butler, Butler Right possessed immense power, authority, and influence within the Dragon Domain, far beyond what his title suggested.
Without a word, Bryan stepped forward. The guards simply pushed open the massive doors as they announced his name with booming voices.
"Crown Prince, Von Bryan makes an entrance!"
