Mind Demon's Path of Domination-Chapter 262 Single?
Clara was annoyed. She had always wanted to be in a relationship with someone she found to be her equal, but she had never got the chance. After all, she had never been allowed to leave the Clan grounds by her grandfather.
She was born very intelligent and her demonic tricks were all excellent even among the Worm Hole bloodline, and she even had the backing of her Upper Demon grandfather and Demon King uncle. She was overall very excellent.
She had thousands of admirers due to such excellence too.
When she turned 18 three years ago, she had received an entire banquet full of people to find a mate. She had found the event tedious. There were some men there who were very strong, but the moment they came to a banquet like that, almost begging her to be theirs, she lost interest in them.

To remove her boredom, she played around with a bunch of her young maids, playing a game of funny relationships. But those were never beyond skin-deep. She had always wanted to know what it would feel like to have friends, or even a romantic relationship with someone, who was at the same class as herself.
When she learned of Ryan from her employer, the Succubus, she was surprised. This man was special. He was no wuss to have even threatened and schemed against Tier 5 or higher beings while being a mere Tier 2 himself. To add, he was apparently even a Maverick.
Being a Tier 2, he could easily fight Tier 3s with his main body!
That had sent shockwaves through Clara's mind. This was an exceptional genius who was standing before her. She had wanted to test him out, maybe even seduce him into becoming one of her admirers. But her attempts were so easily destroyed, she felt like a joke herself.
But the more she interacted with Ryan, the more she was feeling the need to establish friendship. Though, at the same time, she also felt the urge to try and kill him.
She knew that urge.
It was the urge of competition.
His clone was nothing in her eyes, so how could he be worthy of her friendship? If she were to go to him to be friends, wouldn't it make her such a lowly thing?
She would never wish to be befriended by someone. That was so lowly.

Everyone must wish to be her friends, not the other way around. But it was the first time she saw someone who was her equal, or maybe even better than her. He was a maverick like her, he had deep background, and he even seemed to have a similar sense of wit.
And he looked good… moderately.
"Why are you and Clara so tiny, like me?" Ryan asked in passing.
"The Guardian hidden inside one of the Great Beings used their ability on us and shrank our bodies to this tiny size. Only then could we enter the underworld through the small cracks on the earth."
"So where do I have to reach to get some Demon Suppression Bloodline sample?"
"You have to reach this place called the Demon Suppression Birthland," the buff slave said, and Clara felt even more annoyed. She was here to guide Ryan, why did this slave have to come and ruin the mood even more?
"Demon Suppression Birthland?" Ryan asked, a sly grin on his face which seemed to have seen through everything. "How do I reach there?"
"You will have to fly. Can you fly with your wings?"
"Yes," Ryan said calmly. He had a pair of white wings that resembled the wings of light that angels had. But his wings were feathery and brutal, and his vibe was nowhere near the divineness or peacefulness of an angel.
He was a demon through and through.
And one of the best at that.
She felt like she had met a rival for the first time—someone she could consider an equal.
"I mean, if you try to fly into the Birthland, you are more likely to die than survive," she said with a side-eye at the slave; he hadn't mentioned the danger. "The Birthland requires that you have full control of your wings, or be carried there by someone who has full control of their wings."
"I… was about to explain the dangers," the Buff slave said. "And even if you are being carried, you have to remain still. I think Lady Clara would have trouble carrying you, if you want, I can carry—"
"Oh, then you can just carry me there, Clara," Ryan said with a smile. "I am not too confident in my wings, but if you are confident in yours, I think I can trust your judgment."
Clara squinted at Ryan. "I…"
"Take it as being asked a favor from an equal, darling."
She coughed, blushing. He had seen through her thoughts.
The Buff slave felt infuriated. This! THIS! They didn't trust his judgment then? He was more experienced here!
He hated Ryan so much.
SO MUCH.
Ryan pinched Clara's chin with a chuckle. "Don't blush. I figured out your thoughts because we think on the same wavelength."
"Like really?" she asked, curious.
Nobody has ever been so touchy with her, she thought. He really had some nerve. Maybe she really should kill this clone of his to show her dominance to his main body. But that might annoy him instead. Not everyone liked their clones dying.
And if the clone's death affected the main body somehow, she could forget being friends at all. And she was told to be careful by the Succubus.
Anyway…
Suddenly, a question that popped up in her mind made her freeze. She was all butterfly and flowers right now, and that had made her forget some things.
"Wait, wait, wait…" She said. "Are you single?"
Ryan's eyes lit up like two silver moons and his inner playboy made him move closer to her. He raised the somewhat flustered woman's jaw with his fingers. She looked up into his eyes with a tomboyish confidence and a flustered face.
He pecked at her lips.
Two starry wings fluttered into existence behind her back, even out of her own control. Ryan even saw her hair stand on end.
…
Mark destroyed a Star Monkey and roared at the skies as hundreds of telekinetic Esper powers tried to hold him still.
He entered his World Space for a brief second.
"Can I say I am single to bag someone?" He asked Yuri and Reol'ran who were busy with something that seemed pretty advanced. Sci-fi shit, he figured.
Reol'ran turned and stared at him. "Another woman? You've got no sense of urgency yet?" she asked coldly.
Mark rubbed his cheek.
"I don't mind," Yuri said, not even looking at him, "but aren't you exhausted from the constant fights Mark?"
"I could say that, but my clone is pretty sharp."
Reol'ran stared at Mark's soul and said calmly, looking at her cleanly trimmed nails: "You say that and I find out, never come to me again."
…
"Yes, I am single and ready to mingle," Ryan said.
He just had to make sure Reol'ran didn't find out he said it.
