"Master Mentor, I want to ride this!"

Anna pulled on Loren's hand, pointing at the roller coaster in the distance.

To be honest, Loren didn't have full confidence in this world's technological level, but he had ridden a roller coaster a few times before by exploiting a player's immortal body.

Fortunately, nothing went wrong. After a moment's consideration, Loren still agreed to Anna's request.

This roller coaster wasn't too dangerous; its height wasn't extreme. Even if something did happen and they were thrown out, with a Witch's physical constitution, it likely wouldn't cause any serious harm.

Loren just needed to look after Scarlett and Seraphina a bit, as they didn't have much combat ability.

The probability of an accident was actually very small; it was just Loren being overly cautious.

"Yay!"

Anna ran excitedly towards the roller coaster. The amusement park wasn't crowded today, so Loren and the others hardly had to queue at all.

"Ten tickets!"

Anna was carrying quite a bit of money. She bought a ticket for everyone directly.

It was only then that Loren realized how large his group had become.

"Everyone, come on!"

Anna beckoned everyone to board the ride. Anna, visiting an amusement park for the first time, was exceptionally excited, displaying her childlike mentality to the fullest.

"Mmm."

Compared to Anna, Laila was much steadier, but this was only relative. When she got on the ride, she simply vaulted over the side to take her seat.

"Can I not go?"

Scarlett looked at the roller coaster's twisting tracks and immediately wanted to back out.

"Then wait for us down here. We'll come find you after we're done."

Loren never forced them to do things they didn't like. But after Loren said this, Scarlett changed her mind and decided to go up after all.

"Then I'll still go up..."

Compared to the thrill of the roller coaster, Scarlett was more afraid of being left behind by Loren, even if it was just for this short period.

"It's about to start."

As everyone took their seats, the roller coaster slowly began to move. Loren deliberately placed Seraphina and Scarlett next to himself so he could take care of them promptly if anything happened.

Seraphina was beside Loren. Lilith and Scarlett sat in the seats in front of Loren. Lilith might be a bit clumsy, but her physical constitution and regenerative ability were there; she was still considerably stronger than Scarlett.

"I'm so excited..."

Seraphina suddenly grabbed Loren's hand. Loren didn't know if she was excited about riding the roller coaster or about sitting next to him.

The roller coaster picked up speed. Scarlett had already covered her eyes. It's worth mentioning that compared to Scarlett, Lilith appeared very calm, showing no significant reaction.

The roller coaster climbed a steep incline, its speed gradually decreasing. Everyone knew that after cresting this hill, the speed would suddenly increase.

Seraphina instinctively tightened her grip on Loren's hand. It was just then that Loren noticed someone was trying to pry his hand away.

When Loren turned his head, Mirrorheart nonchalantly withdrew her own hand as if nothing had happened.

But Loren had no time to comment on Mirrorheart's action, for the roller coaster immediately began its sudden acceleration. Scarlett's screams were so loud they made Loren's ears ache.

"Scarlett, if you vomit on me, I will definitely hit you!"

Loren didn't know if Scarlett heard him. For the rest of the ride, Scarlett kept screaming, continuing even after the roller coaster stopped. It wasn't until Loren rapped her on the head that she finally shut up.

"I'm never riding something like that again..."

After getting off the roller coaster, Scarlett seemed like she had lost her soul, needing Loren's support to keep walking.

Loren didn't feel much. His experiences were too vast; he had brushed shoulders with death countless times. The stimulation those experiences gave him was not something a mere roller coaster could compare to.

For the remaining time, Anna tried almost every facility in the amusement park and even found time to sample the food sold there.

Anna played until evening. Even the most energetic Anna couldn't help but feel tired.

So much so that after getting into the carriage for the return journey, Anna had already closed her eyes, her head instinctively resting on Loren's shoulder.

Today, Anna behaved just like a normal child, except her appetite was a bit large.

"Good night."

After returning home and a simple wash-up, Loren intended to go to sleep.

Even while playing at the amusement park, Loren had been constantly observing the surroundings. After all, Aisaco hadn't been dealt with yet, and Loren wasn't sure what tricks Aisaco might still pull. It was better to stay vigilant.

Loren placed Anna on his bed and lay down beside her. Lilith then lay down next to Loren as well.

"Master Mentor."

After the lights were out, Lilith suddenly called out to Loren. When Loren opened his eyes, he met her gaze.

Lilith had taken off her eyepatch to sleep, allowing Loren to see her other black pupil.

"Today was truly the happiest day I've ever had."

Loren didn't expect Lilith to say something like this suddenly, but he could understand her feelings. Her parents died who knows how many years ago, and Lilith was probably quite young then.

Furthermore, there were others who blamed Lilith for her parents' deaths, which is why she had to use self-protective mechanisms to forget it all.

For so many years, Lilith had lived in loneliness and pain. Today, Loren took her out to play all day, letting her feel the sensation of family again after a long time.

"It's alright. As long as I'm here, you won't have to endure loneliness anymore."

Loren placed his hand on Lilith's face. Lilith pressed her own hand over his and smiled.

"Mmm."

It was just as Loren replied that he suddenly heard a noise.

"What was that?"

Loren suddenly sat up. He would never think he was seeing or hearing things.

He looked back and saw Anna had turned over in her sleep. Loren didn't think the noise just now came from Anna.

Loren picked up Requiem and carefully observed the surroundings. He didn't turn on the lights to avoid alerting anyone, as his night vision was sharp enough.

So, Loren gently switched positions with Lilith, moving to the edge of the bed, while simultaneously gathering Flash magic in his hand.

The next moment, Loren suddenly rolled off the bed. An intense flash of light burst from his fingers.

Loren's guess was correct. There was indeed someone hiding under his bed. The Flash magic both blinded that person and allowed Loren to see her face.

She had deep red short hair and was wearing an attendant's uniform. She was currently covering her eyes; that flash had really gotten her good.

"Cecelia, what are you doing here..."

Loren was speechless. It was just that after Cecelia appeared here, Loren didn't find it strange at all.
