MMORPG: Birth of the World's Luckiest Player-Chapter 125: Mythic Mount
The crucial moment had finally arrived.
Marcus drew a slow breath, his eyes fixed on the floating panel before him. He had waited far too long for this moment, and now he could finally see the true attributes of his Mythic Mount, the Violet Thunderwing Steed.
A Mythic Mount.
By the world’s pet classification system, it was a Tier 10 existence, standing just a step below a true Divine Beast. Even among high-level figures, something like this was almost unheard of.
Violet Thunderwing Steed: Mythic Mount
Possesses triple attributes: Fire, Lightning, and Wind.
Descendant of the Flame Steed King. Sent to the Atlan Plains for self-training, where it endured the baptism of celestial lightning, grew a pair of lightning wings, and evolved into a new type of Pegasus.
Its future growth potential is unknown.

"H... holy smokes."
The words slipped out before Marcus could stop them.
This was the true power of a Mythic-grade creature. Its base attributes alone were already outrageous. It was not just a high-health, high-defense mount, but one that also possessed terrifying offensive potential. More importantly, there were no filler skills, not a single ability that felt wasted or poorly designed.
Compared to this, even his Shadow-Stained Gryphon King seemed slightly inferior.
If mounts were included in the Pet Leaderboard, Marcus was certain of one thing, the Violet Thunderwing Steed would sit firmly at the very top.
And that thought only made his anticipation burn hotter.
He glanced instinctively at his inventory, where a certain egg rested quietly.
The Dark Violet Sky Dragon.
’Amen. Let me live long enough to see the power of a true Divine Beast.’
His gaze returned to the skill list, and his attention immediately locked onto one ability.
Thunder Roar Charge.
Out of all the Steed’s skills, this was the one he loved the most. Not because the others were lacking, but because this one allowed him to personally unleash its full might. The damage was calculated based on the rider’s Attack, multiplied by three.
And Marcus knew better than anyone just how terrifying his own Attack stat had already become.
Three times that value was no joke.
He could almost picture it already, charging straight into a Zephyr Steed, watching its proud expression shatter under overwhelming force. The mere thought made his fingers itch.
With the Violet Thunderwing Steed beneath him, Marcus felt as if his own strength had taken a decisive leap forward. It was not just a mount anymore, it was an extension of his power.
He looked at the creature standing before him.
Its coat shimmered with a deep purplish-red sheen, sleek yet powerful, every muscle perfectly defined. Its tall frame radiated dominance, while the massive lightning wings at its sides crackled constantly, arcs of electricity dancing through the air, occasionally flaring into sparks of flame.
Even when standing still, it exuded an undeniable sense of authority, like a king among beasts.
Power and beauty, perfectly balanced.
Marcus suddenly felt an overwhelming urge to ride it straight into Dragon’s Peak Citadel and make a grand entrance. He pictured the more innocent girls swooning on the spot, the mature women dropping their calm composure. As for the overly... enthusiastic ones, he’d have the Steed hoof them a good five meters back.
His attention finally drifted to the last line of the attribute panel.
Dual-Rider Capable.
Marcus’s pupils tightened slightly.
This attribute, much like the Rideable trait found on certain rare pets, was absurdly uncommon. The probability of a mount possessing it was practically one in a million. It was the kind of feature only seen on top-tier existences.
A truly premium attribute.
How premium was it?
A normal mount could only carry a single rider. That was the rule almost everyone accepted without question. But a mount with the Dual-Rider Capable attribute could carry two people at the same time, something so rare that most players never even saw it mentioned outside of rumors.
The moment Marcus thought about riding with someone else, his heart began to race, and his lips curled into a grin he could not suppress.
’Lily, you better get your butt to Dragon’s Peak Citadel, fast.’
The thought echoed eagerly in his mind.
His imagination ran wild. He pictured Lily sitting in front of him, her soft waist fitting perfectly within his arms, his hand resting naturally against her smooth stomach, her full hips pressed close as the wind rushed past them. He could almost smell her familiar scent as they soared together through the sky on the Violet Thunderwing Steed, flying freely above the world with nothing around them but clouds and endless blue.
The anticipation alone made him restless.
"Wahaha..."
Marcus let out a low, satisfied laugh, his expression openly pleased as his thoughts drifted through those intimate, romantic images.
There was no longer any doubt about it. The Violet Thunderwing Steed was premium in every sense of the word.
Without hesitation, Marcus guided the Steed down and landed smoothly. He dismounted, then released the Level 30 Wild Steed he had captured earlier back into the wilderness, freeing up his Mount Storage Slot for the Violet Thunderwing Steed.
This step was not optional.
If a mount or pet was currently being used without being assigned to a storage slot, and existed only in the inventory, there was a 30 percent chance it could betray its owner or escape. Worse still, if the player died under those conditions, the mount or pet would flee with absolute certainty.
Marcus had no intention of taking that risk.
Once the Violet Thunderwing Steed was properly assigned to a Mount Storage Slot, everything changed. As long as he remained alive, the Steed was guaranteed to stay loyal. Even if he did die, the drop chance was reduced to just 10 percent, which, given Marcus’s abnormally high Luck stat, was close enough to zero for his peace of mind.
"Giddy up."
"Hiss..."
In high spirits, Marcus gave the command. The Violet Thunderwing Steed responded with a long, resonant cry. Its lightning wings spread wide and beat gently as it lifted off the ground, carrying Marcus into the air with effortless grace.
They rose higher and higher, soon soaring freely above Star Lake, cutting through the sky with an elegance that drew the eye.
Unfortunately, the Pegasi that had been following earlier quickly scattered once they realized the Steed was no longer wild. One by one, they turned away and flew off in different directions. Otherwise, if the Violet Thunderwing Steed had circled Star Lake a few more times and lured several hundred Pegasi, Marcus could have made an absurd amount of money.
Riding high above the lake, Marcus looked down at Star Lake from the air, and even now, the sight still left him in awe.
The place truly lived up to its name.
He quickly activated his camera function, recording the breathtaking scenery below as he flew, capturing the shimmering waters, the lush surroundings, and the peaceful harmony of the entire area as a keepsake.
After flying above Star Lake for some time, Marcus began to descend slowly toward the blue, six-pointed, star-shaped lake at its center.
A place this magical had to be hiding something.
There was no way he would leave without investigating it. Entering a treasure mountain and coming back empty-handed was not his style.
The blue lake gradually filled his field of vision, clear and radiant like a perfectly cut gemstone. Under the sunlight, gentle ripples spread across its surface, reflecting dazzling patterns of light that shifted with every movement.
"Hiss..."
"Hiss..."
Just as Marcus was completely absorbed by the scenery, two thunderous whinnies suddenly erupted from the edge of the blue lake.
One was deep and powerful, carrying a weighty, king-like presence. The other was sharp and piercing, filled with overwhelming dominance.
The sound shook the entire Star Lake region.
Chaos erupted instantly.
Flying beasts abandoned their nests, and ground creatures scattered in every direction, fleeing in panic as if some great calamity was about to descend. The vast herds of Wild Steeds and Pegasi, the most numerous creatures in Star Lake, all stampeded toward the outermost edges of the area, afraid that being even a moment too slow would spell disaster.
Even the Violet Thunderwing Steed reacted.
The Mythic Mount let out a low sound of unease, its muscles tensing beneath Marcus as it instinctively responded to the two overwhelming presences that had just announced themselves.
