Mommy Villainess-Chapter 389: Devil Incarnate
Chapter 389: Devil Incarnate
CONTROLLING the Abyss was harder than Tilly thought.
Of course, summoning it was easy since she had always felt like the Abyss was a part of her body.
[It’s not listening to me!]
Tilly wanted the Abyss to only devour the Hellfire burning on top of Kiho’s stomach, but she could feel that it wanted to devour everything.
Hence, she closed her hand tight until the Abyss returned to her soul.
"Are you okay, Tilly?" Luna asked worriedly. "What happened?"
"The stupid Abyss tried to swallow everything in this room– including me," Tilly said, catching her breath. Summoning the Abyss and forcibly closing it down took a toll on her body, after all. "I wonder what I should do to make it listen to me."
<"I already literally told you the solution, slowpoke.">
Tilly raised an eyebrow. "Hmm? Is it just me or you’re getting ruder day by day, little miss? I don’t mind you speaking informally to me because you’re probably older. But treating me like an idiot is a little too much, isn’t it?"
Luna, who looked offended in Tilly’s face, knitted her eyebrows. "The Black Flame dares to treat you like an idiot, Tilly?"
"She’s acting like a know-it-all."
"The audacity..."
<"Ahem. I’m sorry, Supreme. I don’t know what’s happening to me, but since I’ve shared the space in your soul with the Abyss, it seems like my personality has changed a little.">
That was true.
The Black Flame used to be a melancholy child who often acted like it hated the world. But she became "cheerful" recently.
[Well, it’s not the right to care about that.]
"I remember you telling me to turn the Abyss into a weapon," Tilly said, getting straight to the point this time. "Why did you tell me to do that?"
<"The Abyss has been a part of the Plane for too long, Supreme. Its main job back then was to absorb all the souls of the people you cherish and help them reincarnate the way you want them to. But, suddenly, you removed it from the Plane. I can feel the Abyss’ confusion.">
Oh.
Things were started to make sense now.
"So, you’re saying that the Abyss is suddenly confused about its purpose for existing?"
<"That seems to be the case, Supreme. Hence, when you summoned it earlier, the Abyss thought you were asking it to absorb the Black Serpent’s soul.">
Her heart thumped hard and fast against her chest when the realization hit her.
[So, the Abyss wasn’t trying to devour everything in the room– it was trying to absorb Kiho’s soul!]
Thank goodness she immediately shut it down.
[I almost killed my husband accidentally...]
<"I asked you to turn the Abyss into a weapon because I thought it was the quickest way to make it realize that it’s no longer required to absorb the souls of your loved ones, Supreme. The Abyss has to know that it has a new purpose now.">
"Alright. I understand now," Tilly said, then she looked at Kiho worriedly. Her husband might be a Beast God, but even a god like him would die if his Core melted because of the Hellfire. "Can we turn the Abyss into a weapon in thirty minutes?"

"ROARKE, Jameson, Maddox, Braxton," Winchell said, calling the Keepers who were there one by one. "Can I borrow your strength for the last time?"
For the last time, yes.
Because, right at that moment, he was fighting against Kyro with his life on the line.
He needed his full strength, so he asked the Keepers to "borrow their strength."
[I’m asking them to return their power to me, which will no doubt end their lives if I lost and died.]
And he had to ask so abruptly because he didn’t have time to explain.
Right now, they were inside the sphere of red flame that he made to hide and protect them from Kyro’s continuous attack. But there were cracks all over the barrier that he made, and it was only a matter of time before it completely collapsed.
Winchell clenched his hands. "I’m sorry."
"Please don’t apologize to us, my lord," Roarke, the child he considered his child with Luna, said. "We were planning to give you back our power anyway even if you didn’t ask us to."
"It sucks to be apart from the Supreme one again, but this is for her protection," Jameson added. "We don’t mind disappearing for good if it’s for the Supreme’s sake."
"We’ll entrust the Supreme’s protection to Wong and Kelsi," Maddox said, mentioning the Keepers who weren’t there with them at the moment. "They’re the strongest among us anyway."
Braxton nodded in agreement with what his twin brother said. "So please don’t hesitate to use us, my lord." fɾeeweɓnѳveɭ.com
Winchell smiled, but it was a bitter one. "Thank you," he said sincerely, shutting his eyes tight. "Let’s end Kyro together."

TSK.
Kyro clicked his tongue when he tasted blood in his mouth.
The temporary shell that he was using was already on the verge of breaking down. After all, he had been using the Hellfire for a while now.
[I have to end it now.]
Kyro raised both of his hands, his palms facing the sphere of red flame where Winchell was hiding with his little flames called the ’Keepers.’
He was about to release a ball of Hellfire stronger than what he had used on Kiho earlier when, suddenly, the sphere of red flame exploded. And then it was followed by a strong burst of divine power.
Oho?
Kyro smirked when Winchell finally emerged from the flames.
[His wings have grown bigger, and his flames stronger.]
"You’re worse than a roach," Kyro said while shaking his head. "Just when will you drop dead, Winchell?"
"Have you forgotten that I’m the Red Phoenix?" Winchell said, scoffing. "No matter how many times you kill me, I’m going to rise from the ashes."
He just smirked at the Red Phoenix’ baseless confidence.
"Let me ask you one thing before I kill you, Kyro," Winchell said while glaring at him. "Is it true that you’re the Devil incarnate?"
He nodded because he had no intention of hiding it anymore. "Yes, that’s true."
"Since when?"
He tilted his head, smirking. "A little after Kalel was born the first time."
The Red Phoenix knitted his eyebrows. "That long?"
"Of course, I didn’t become the Devil right away," Kyro explained. "I’m saying I started to hate my divinity after Kalel was born. That was when I started looking for ways to lose my power as the Moon God until I remembered the Devil that was sealed in Hell." He smirked while remembering the past. "I let the Devil use my celestial body as his new vessel in order to free him from his seal.
Winchell scowled at him, obviously disgusted by Kyro’s story.
But he wasn’t done talking yet.
"The Devil didn’t take over my body right away– he couldn’t," Kyro explained, clutching his chest. "We had to do it slowly in order to hide his demon power with my divine power. I had to hide my real body and use temporary shells like the one I’m using now to mask the changes in me. Hence, it took me centuries before I finally merged with the Devil."
"Why?" Winchell hissed at him. "Why would you do that?"
"I hate the human race, but I can’t kill them while I’m the Moon God because of the stupid oath that we took when we became gods," Kyro said indifferently. Then, in a very quick and smooth movement, he teleported in front of Winchell. Before the Red Phoenix could even react, he had already put his hand on top of his head. "And let me show you why I ended up hating the humans I swore to love and protect."
