Mommy Wolf: Raise A Cub, Claimed By His Beast Daddy-Chapter 224: Ignite the War (IV)
"Ohhh, so with the combined power of Jing Empire and Barion Kingdom, they will be able to defeat the Beast King?"
"No," Marik replied curtly.
"What?! Wha—d-do you mean even the combined power of the two biggest human kingdoms from east and west is still not enough to kill Kael?!" Leah was truly astonished right now. She knew that the Beast King was powerful, but was he powerful enough to actually fight against these hundreds and thousands of metal-plated soldiers and their advanced weapons?!
"How strong is he truly..." she murmured.
"Strong enough to defeat everyone he sees. You are underestimating that bastard’s power. When I said he’s a demigod, I am not exaggerating," Marik replied with suppressed breath, as he was teetering on the edge between fear and anger. He wished he could actually harm Kael, but even when Marik unleashed his full strength, Kael simply toyed with him until he was bored before landing the blow that incapacitated him immediately.
The Dusk Star in his full strength would be enough to defeat as many human soldiers as he could see.
"But those humans will be enough to keep him and his army of beastmen busy for a while, so I can slip in and kidnap Sisi and Jojo."
"The only way to defeat him is to blackmail him until he’s willing to kill himself," Marik said.
Though he knew that by killing himself, Kael would inevitably kill Jojo as well, since the lives of the Dusk and Dawn Stars were intertwined.
But that didn’t matter for Marik.
He really wished to make Jojo his adopted son and often dreamed about starting a family with Sisi, Jojo, and his own offspring with Sisi later.
But Jojo was a liability. Even if he could kidnap Sisi, he couldn’t bring Jojo with him, because Kael would be able to track him down easily.
’I just hope that Sisi will eventually move on after Kael and Jojo die,’ he thought.
The dawn came really fast for everyone in the army as Crown Prince Ludwig ordered the general to deploy one battalion consisting of five hundred soldiers to go with him on a campaign to Roc Forest.
The Crown Prince had already reported to his father about the possibility of a kingdom filled with beastmen inside Roc Forest and wanted to investigate it himself. His father, King Ald, agreed to give him five hundred soldiers, thinking that would be enough if it was just an investigation.
Nevertheless, both the king and the crown prince had the same idea—to crush any potential danger. They had to maintain the safety and sovereignty of Barion Kingdom. In fact, King Ald had given permission to his son to kill as many beastmen as possible if that helped secure the trade route between Jing Empire and Barion Kingdom.
After all, those beastmen were savages. It was better to completely erase them from existence so humans could thrive even more and probably expand their kingdom into the dangerous Roc Forest.
Marik and Leah had "recovered" from their injuries after a long night’s rest and were ready to guide the troop to the Beast Kingdom.
Meanwhile, Crown Prince Ludwig was inside another carriage with his trusty sword by his side, ready to attack whatever beastman dared to touch him.
As the troop entered Roc Forest, Marik’s gaze darkened.
’Soon, you will know true hell, you cursed bastard. Your kingdom will be destroyed, and you’ll lose your son while I take my beloved and live happily ever after in Jing Forest.’

Meanwhile, in the Beast Kingdom, Kael had shifted into his wolf form. It had been a while since he used this form because he hadn’t gone out that much, but it felt liberating.
On top of that, Sisi and Jojo were sitting on his back, while he also carried their supplies on his waist.
"Is it too heavy for you, Kael?" Sisi asked as she glanced at the supplies sewn together inside two baskets on Kael’s waist in his wolf form.
They looked heavy, so Sisi wondered if they should bring less.
"No, it’s fine," Kael replied lightly. "You two should find the right place to sit on my back and hang on tight."
"Un!" Jojo nodded happily as he shifted into his wolf cub form and sat comfortably between Sisi’s thighs.
Vestor, Grishaw, and Diane were seeing them off from the courtyard garden. Kael didn’t want to alert the civilians, so he would leap from the palace and leave the kingdom through an alternate route.
"Vestor, Grishaw, make sure that nothing bad happens while I’m gone, alright?" Kael warned. "It shouldn’t take long, probably a week or two at best."
"Understood, My King!" Vestor and Grishaw replied at the same time.
The young faeries were sitting on top of Sisi’s head while Healer Roro sat on Sisi’s shoulder.
As for General Gugu and the rest of the faerie soldiers, they were used to flying long routes without rest, so they were ready to lead the way for Kael through the vast and tricky Roc Forest.
Vestor, Grishaw, and Diane watched as their king moved at lightning speed, so fast that they could barely see his silhouette the moment he leaped out of the Queen’s courtyard garden.
Vestor sighed in relief. "Is it just me, or has Mistress Sisi opened up to our king? I don’t think it’ll take long before she’s crowned as our queen."
"That would be the best, right? We really need a queen as a figurehead so the female beastmen in the city stop complaining about the absence of a queen."
"I mean, I’m sure Mistress Sisi’s coronation wouldn’t take long, because she’s already wearing a ring from our King."
Vestor and Grishaw nodded at the same time. They saw the ring on Mistress Sisi’s finger this morning, which meant that she had accepted their king’s seriousness and desire to marry her.
They wished for their king, future queen, and crown prince’s safe journey and early return, because in all honesty, Vestor and Grishaw knew it would be impossible to maintain order in this kingdom without the king or queen’s presence.
"Let’s just hope that nothing bad happens while they are gone," Vestor muttered.
