Above the skies of the Clan's northern territories was a reconnaissance plane. It soared through the heavens, leaving behind trails of pale mist. Designated as Recon One, it was tasked to observe the lower half of the New World.

Inside the reconnaissance plane, the pilot watched the clearing stormy skies and saw the northern territories of the Clan for what they were.

"You think the rumor is true?" An observation specialist from the fortified capital city of Denver asked while staring at the same scenery that the pilot gazed upon.

"Rumors about what?" The pilot raised his eyebrows, confused about what the specialist meant. His job was merely to circle around the northern territories.

On the other hand, the specialist had to record their observations and report to the higher echelons of the Federation.

As a veteran in government fieldwork, the pilot knew more than to ask questions. It was better to pretend to hear or see nothing rather than attract unnecessary attention.

"About the Clan being pushed further south." The specialist responded, grinning at the pilot, who was astounded. "Being pushed south? Is that even possible?"

"Of course, it is possible... Why do you think the Federal Government is rattled?" The specialist chuckled while the pilot frowned and asked.

"What about the reason as to why they were being pushed further south?" It was a vital question that could result in him being silenced.

But it was difficult to resist asking.

"The higher echelons seemed to be tight-lipped about the reason. They merely wanted to confirm the intelligence sent by the Third Division of SIGIL."

The specialist sighed, curious yet rational enough to stop in the coetails of the higher-ups. He didn't want to meet his demise early.

It didn't take long for the reconnaissance plan to reach the northern stronghold of the Clan. They saw the remnants of what was supposed to be a looming wall.

Devastation filled the land alongside craters and deep cliffs. It was as though the Clan was fighting against a massacre.

"Damn..." The specialist muttered under his breath, somewhat dumbfounded. The same could be said of the pilot, who took a deep breath.

"What happened?"

"I-I don't know... I doubt this is the work of the Third Division." The specialist uttered before shaking his head. "Let's not ask questions and do our job."

The pilot nodded in agreement and kept flying the reconnaissance towards the first northern city of the Clan. It didn't take them long to reach it.

No words escaped their mouth when they saw the northernmost city of the Clan. The Gothic architecture was tainted by destruction and soot. Rubbles filled the streets alongside gigantic footprints.

They glanced at one another and decided that it was better to keep quiet. Their next destination was another northern city, and the sight was the same as the stronghold and the first city.

It made them wonder who could wield such destruction. Even Paragons needed to take their time when destroying a city. Yet, in mere days, several cities of the Clan had already fallen.

"Did you record everything?" The pilot questioned, which prompted the specialist to nod. "Yeah, I got everything. Should we withdraw?"

"If we don't want to die, retreating is the best option. Who knows if the one that brought down a couple of cities would be roaming nearby?" The pilot wearily chuckled.

"Alright, the reconnaissance mission has already been completed. Let's withdraw." The specialist nodded and announced their withdrawal.

It was better to be safe than sorry.

Meanwhile...

Damien watched as the Terror Points within his status display gradually grew. He shouldn't have to worry about his wealth for a couple of days. Though he kept thinking about the evolution of his monsters.

The more Five-Stars there were, the safer he would become. It was basic and simple logic. With this in mind, he glanced at his status display once again and took a deep breath.

Damien turned his sable-tinted gaze upward and saw a reconnaissance plane pivoting away. His eyebrows rose as he muttered. "The Federation, huh? No wonder."

He understood that the Federation must have realized what had happened in the lower half of the New World. With the vampires being pushed back further south, chaos was inevitable.

"Unfortunately, I already heard the secrets of the progenitor. Those outside of the New World are much more dangerous than I expected." His sable-tinted gaze narrowed.

"No wonder a status quo was maintained between Miss Alastair and that old bastard. I heard that they fought somewhere else and stopped because something was staring at them."

"These must be the Outer Aberrants."

"Just when I thought everything was over." Damien shook his head, thoroughly disappointed. But there wasn't much he could do about it.

The plan he had in mind was to build an army of Five-Star Monsters. If that's not enough, summon dozens more and evolve them to Five-Stars.

Of course, for him to be able to do so, Terror must be felt throughout the New World. It was practically the path of becoming a villain, the final boss.
